Ask a geologist to show you proof that the earth is billions and trillions of years old and they give you a ton of facts, documentation, research, etc.
Ask a christian the same thing and they put a bible in your face. Now, who do you think we should believe when it comes to the age of the earth? A pastor with a 2000 year old story book or some scientists who actually use their brains.
religion breeds narrow-mindedness. There are those that overcome this tendency, but even more that fall victim to the plague. It's like a virus in our consciousness.
I love the look on Ken Ham's face at the end. He is just looking for a fight. How dare Bill Maher dare ask such stupid questions that would shed doubt on his beliefs. Damned infidels.
I think Ken sounds a bit of an idiot and is one of the reasons why christians get a lot of flack, but I still think that it's highly likely that the interview was edited.
Saying we need to eliminate religion and live purely in science, I dont agree with it. Why deny facts? No point to it, right? But there are things we do not know, so then you replace what you do not know with religious beliefs. If we can prove without any doubt at all that God isnt real, then I will agree that religion needs to be abolished. However, I dont think we will ever prove that one belief wrong or right. This guy from the Vatican has an excellent point.
@LotusDragon09 You can't prove a negative. What evidence we do have, statements in the bible, have been shown to be inaccurate. We don't just replace gaps in our knowledge with "god did it", that is called god of the gaps and is just as sill as Ken Ham's ridiculous interpretation of Genesis.
Even if Bill used all the footage of his interview with Ham, I doubt that it would have helped either of their causes. I've been to the AiG website and Ham's blog and the claims they make are nothing short of hilarious. It's mostly just PRATT nonsense.
Ham seems to think that there's no world for him outside the bible and if scripture's not true then then there's no reason to accept science either. This black-&-white mindset limits him quite a bit.
@HeathMc So, what you're saying is its impossible for a religious person to believe science? Seems a hell of a lot easier to believe in something that has concrete evidence backing it up (science) than someone's interpretation of what a book says (creationism).
lol I'd rather see more of the robotic dinasour who died out 65 million years ago, standing next to the "caveman" who didnt even come into existence until about 150,000 years ago. That's a MIRACLE alright.
Bill Maher has a new position...Embassador to Satan...he thinks hes god and I used a little "g" that he is, see you soon Bill Maher....in passing.

Bill Maher is Biblically Incorrect. But bless his heart, he is a seeker of the truth and will become a Christian very soon. All Glory to God :)

Nice editing work, Maher.
Maybe the uncut version will be on the bonus section of the dvd so we can see the context of Hamm's statements.

Agreed, it was totally edited. I've read several Ken Hamm books and articles and happen to know that he went into far more detail than this.
