  • I personally think public schooling should be completely done away with. If it wasn't for the fact that I had family with resources and a library nearby, I would have never graduated. I had to teach myself because so many teachers just do a good job until they get their guaranteed employment. Then they just sort exist in the classroom! Vouchers are the way to go!!!

  • does the voucher program sound capitalist to you ? let's see, all mean, evil, greedy, rich, capitalist, landowners will pay a tax, in the amount the government says they can afford, based on what they say your land is worth, and then they will "give" you your fair allotment of education. why stop with education? why not do the same thing to pay for our food supply? you would have a choice of healthy government food or spending your food stamps on decadent luxuries. sound familiar ?

  • he has a mean widows peak. looks like wolverine

  • I'm against the vouchers because it's not fair to me, I had to go to sucky public school so these kids should be stuck going to the same failures for learning I had to.

  • I would definitely love to have school choice. The counselors at my current school don't counsel; they tell.

  • the unions are the bigest bunch of dumb ass motherfuckers ever not the people there union bosses

  • There are multiple sodas for me to find the one I like. If there was only one soda on the market, I would quit drinking soda.

I hold the same opinion about restaurants, which cars I buy, which colleges I pursue higher learning, which airlines I fly, which banks I deposit my money in, and which schools I send my children to. How is this a hard concept to understand? I choose the higher quality that meets my demands, and stay away from those things I deem to be problematic.

  • @MrLotharofhillpeople don't forget what type of healthcare you buy.

  • Obama is a pedo

  • CHILDREN ARE ANNOYING IM PISSED ABOUT THEM EVEN THE TEACHERS BUT THERE WORSE THEN KIDS

  • @HappyMadisonDude SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • NO CAROL!

  • Choice is a good thing I choose not to go

  • I agree. The union is stupid. Last year, a teacher at my school went crazy and threw a trash can, a 3 hole puncher, a stapler, and several books at a student from across the room. Because the teacher was in the union, he was only suspended for a week, and the next year, he moved up a grade so that many students that were in the classroom during his episode had him again.

  • @TheBobSob Thats really fucked.

  • I did eventually go to a private school, I used to be in a regular school. There was a teacher who commonly attacked any students he felt were misbehaving. He attacked me 3 times during the last year my parents kept me in public school. The last time this teacher did it I broke down and told my parents they were abhorrent that a teacher did this. All the students in the class actually signed a written petition to have the teacher fired and nothing happened. The teacher retired 2 years later.

  • @USmellLikeObamaShit This in a nutshell is why I hate unions.

  • I went to a private school, thank god!

  • Go Homeschool!

  • I went to high school @ a small town. They wouldn't test me for dyslexia even though i have it.The counselor there even told my mom that the kids here would never amount to anything anyway. I tried to get good grades & stayed up all night diong homework but still got bad grades because they wouldn't give me any modifications. We actually had to move to another town my senior year so me & my brother could go to school. Things were ALOT better @ the new school, but I wish I could have gone sooner.

  • @happyzcamper That's why I'm homeschooled. Before you call me an antisocial freak, I live in a area where the schools around here are the lowest performing ones in the county (And I'm not trying to be racist...but they're around mostly ethnic neighborhoods), and if I wasn't I would be attending one of those schools.

Besides, we can review as much as we want mid-class, do class in our damn boxers if we want, the food is pretty good, and I sleep in the same room as I do math. It's not half bad.

  • @MetalSights My brother was home schooled for a wile. I've found that home schooled kids have a much more flexible schedule so they get to do really cool stuff. My brother was part of a co-op & they did lots of field trips. I prolly would have been too but I get REALLY distracted in my room. (as good as not having to get dressed and wake up @ the crack of dawn sounds) To be honest, I don't have enough self-discipline for that. lol But I'm glad it worked out well for you. Did you graduate early?

  • @happyzcamper Haven't graduated yet, but it's still pretty good. We start on the 15th, and get up at about 6am and start schooling at 6:30, but if we're lucky and get a short work schedule we can finish at 1pm. No other students beside my brothers to slow us down, no distractions, and your computer is your teacher. Somehow we still have real friends, and I'll admit I get a little jealous sometimes of public/private schools. Then my friend tells me what dicks people are XD Its a mixed blessing

  • @MetalSights Sometimes the teachers can be pretty bad too. But there were a few that I absolutely LOVED. I'm going to be a freshman in College this year and I was considering taking some online classes to save on gas. Do you have problems with not being able to ask questions since it's on a computer? And yeah, crazy stuff happens @ public schools. I've been to 3 different high schools, and you would not believe some of the stuff that goes on! Don't be too jealous. lol

  • @happyzcamper Well, if you don't understand something, (if it's a prerecorded video and not a live feed) just go back in the video.

If you don't understand something, just look it up. You are at home after all. (Don't do it if you're taking tests, that's cheating :D)

I don't know much about college courses, it's clearly alot more difficult than highschool, but I'm sure it's the same other than the work. Being able to go back anytime in the day and review what the teacher said is helpful too.

  • @MetalSights Thanks for the advice. :) Hope you have a great year!

  • @happyzcamper No problem!

  • Being a Belgian private school graduate, I fully agree. I loved the school I chose.

    Do note

    A) our high schools and even our colleges are socialized with practically free college tuition for those not born into privilege. And very cheap for everyone else So that's still possible with vouchers.

    B) Some parents have difficulties getting their children into their first choice of elementary school because the best ones are overcrowded very quickly

There will always be some problems

  • whats wrong ginad your mommy loved you fuck you public school sucks longer school will just dpress children

  • Lengthening school days and shortening vacations? Well, when do most kids get into trouble? After school and summer vacation. Especially kids from lower income school systems. Not every kids gets the privilege of "curling up with mom" after school you pompous ass.

  • strange they would make us go to school longer for more money when they already have more than is probably needed

  • School choice is a good thing. The $ should follow the legally registered child. If public schools need to continue to exist, they will compete on the open market and either get better and competetive or fail and be shut down. The monopoly on education by Gov't. should be ended.

  • American schools are terrible now. So much money is given to schools, but most of it is used on crap.

  • Liberals are plain out wrong.

  • By the way, the stat he spouts about our test scores being low internationally is regarding the PISA test, which is problematic. For one thing the researchers who designed the test have said that it shouldn't be used to rank nations due to the way it measures. For another, if you factor in the poverty rate, US schools are doing very well on that test. Watch for this fact to come to light in the media as soon as vouchers are in effect and big business is running the schools.

  • Voucher programs are the ticket to Big Money like Gates and Broad getting even more money. That's the bottom line. That's why they're on the table right now. It's the only reason. These people are using their money and power to influence the media to trash public schools. Once the system is earning them money, guess what their money will go towards influencing the media to report? How fantastic a job they're doing, of course!

  • Democrats are dicks... it's just republicans/right wingers are just waaaay worse.

  • Well no, people are more scared of you taking that money and spending on private education or non-education.

If you put your child in a school that teach creationism, the education is worthless unless you child stay away from science professions.

There is also the issue of crowding since this would implement a system where there are qualifying requirement for the K12 system in each school.

It is not the students choosing school, it is the parents. Can lead to segregation.

  • @Neosaigo were you unaware that there are great scientists who believe in the intelligent design theory? creationists and evolutionists can work side-by-side with no problems as long as they aren't studying the origin of the earth. none of the branches of science have anything to do with the origin of the universe except things like paleontology and perhaps physics. (just to clarify i do believe in intelligent design)

  • @gilkwad Are you unaware that according to intelligent design theory, the spread of small animals after the ark was aided by volcanoes in the Mount Ararat region? Yes, small animals were transported by volcanoes.

    Don't believe me?

    conservapedia[dot]com/Post-Diluvian_Diasporas

So, tell me again how intelligent design is not a worthless education? I dare you.

And as for vouchers, fuck yes I support them, you can learn whatever you want. Just stay the hell out of politics.

  • @ahardycrockett that is one theory. the evolutionary tree for the horse is a failed theory within the theory of evolution, and you don't blow evolution off as impossible over one disproven theory-within-a-theory. a much more widely held belief is that of land bridges. the bible makes reference to the theory of hypertonics, in which the continents were once connected but separated rapidly. many evolutionary scientists would agree with that, only saying it took millions of years, not just a few

  • I love your work Crowder. It's really refreshing to hear a young conservative voice, promoting these values in an entertaining way. I don't feel so alone and hopeless when I hear the next generation promoting critical thinking and being able to discriminate between right and wrong. I'm not surprised that Obama would want to force kids to stay longer in the system that his political supporters, i.e. the union bosses, depend on for their livelyhood! Just another corrupt politician.

  • Everybody press 5 over and over! LOL!!!

  • The major problem I see with school choice is that for many there would be no choice. If you take 100 schools in an inner city area and let's say 10 of them are the good private schools that you are talking about. Naturally everyone would want to go to the ten really good schools but since those schools can only take so many students many of the kids would not be able to go there. So then they would be left with choosing from the ninety bad schools. No improvement for them at all.

  • whatever at least he's trying to solve the problem and not bitching about it on the internet.

  • Steven, you told a half-truth: Obama >PROPOSES< EITHER longer school hours OR extended semesters --TO GIVE THE FUTURE GENERATION A CHANCE TO COMPETE FOR JOBS-- which you conveniently left out. Of course, he is wrong as always; more funding and longer hours is NOT the solution, a change in the curriculum and learning methods is crucial.

Plus, school vouchers have their pro's and con's, and the con's in American education will fundamentally affect the children;s education.

  • Geez, this has got to be the worst argument for vouchers. How about dealing with observable facts Crowder. Having a little black girl from Detroit as your example is absurd. If anyone of you who supports vouchers believes that the black girl has the "choice" of going to a private school, you have never dealt with a private school. The schools have the choice, and a black kid from Detroit isn't getting in. They get to stay in the public schools that will be even shittier than before. Reality.

  • I say we privatize the whole system, everything including fire stations and police stations. If we get rid of government funding and let the community all chip in and do their part we wouldnt be in this hole that our government is trying to fix by turning our money into worthless paper. Either that or homeschool your kids. Buy silver everybody.

  • @jonfergus1 But think of this: with no funding from any source, law enforcement and emergency response will have to establish a business whereby they 'sell' you security and emergency response. In life or death situations, emergency response units will have to compromise certain people for lack of coverage. Plus, community volunteering isn't going to solve the problem: most people are too busy with job/families and a lack of trained personnel will undermine security.

  • why not try what happens in parts of the U.K. where selection still exists. In my area we have selective schools which are state run, and comps which are non selective. People choose based on ability in the 11plus. In these areas scores across all schools improve. I came from a council estate (you call em projects) and would never of gone uni (college) if it wasn't grammar schools.

  • click the red speech bubble to get rid of the captions at the end

  • man chowder drinking crowder, crowbar. heheeh

  • haha but on a more serious note, yea you do make a point. You may say that this is just a liberal thing but liberals and republicans are 2 hands of the same creature, The New World Order. Everybody gets fucked by each party every time. Both pass laws that are not in the best interest of the citizens but of the Elites. They want to dumb down america as a whole so that america doesn't question anything the government says

  • Actually, teachers no longer really get that kind of tenure. Year contracts are all that is available now for most teachers.

i hadn't heard about the increase of hours though! That is just cruel and unusual punishment.

  • "I live in Detroit you F@#K!"

  • "I live in Detroit you F@#K!

  • @Gallipoli620 Dude... I'm sorry, man. I am so sorry. -_-

  • The #1 way to stop the production of more socialist idiots is to give us school choice. School choice is the front line in the battle to restore America and stop the perpetual production of idiots. Steven, PLEASE do a video about how OBAMA ripped the voucher system away from WASH DC even though the parents and students BEGGED him to allow it to continue!!! It was, in fact, among his first executive acts.

  • @victoryliberty The reason why Obama opposes the voucher system is it would make too much logical sense when is deadly to liberals.

  • I'll show you how we do it up in Detroit!!!

  • hes totally right, the reason liberals don't want school choice is because if you get rid of public schools you get rid of unions, which means sub par teachers who have impenitrable job security will have a hard time keeping their jobs. also unions wont be around to fund the politicians who in exchange fund them and their schools ridiculous amounts of money for an apparent terrible education. its a giants cycle of shit that ruined our school system.

  • Mahmoud OBAMAdinejad the supreme, exalted dictator of B"IRAQ"ck America is making our children dumber? Well stop the fucking presses. People I implore you all that if We still have the vote in 2012 please vote Obam Hussein, or as he is more commonly known Obama Bin Laden OUT!

  • Teachers Unions are the only reason why our public education system is a total failure. Get rid of the unions (which only care about teachers benefits not students) for 5 years and see what happens!

If you do that American will never allow a public worker to unionize again!

  • Teachers unions are a huge part of the reason public school is so bad. I live in Baltimore and even the cheapest and worst private schools blow the public schools out of the water. Might have something to do with the teachers at private schools having to work for their paychecks....

  • 1:03 Haha

    Another great clip Steven.

  • priceless

  • I'll show you how we do it in Detroit!

  • I once heard a stat that our literacy rate is the same as it was in the 1920'd even though we've spent many billions of dollars.

  • We should make student unions. Our demand? Teachers who are as smart or smarter than us.

  • -home-schooled-

  • @thenextarcher Haha me too :)

  • MEXICANS RUIN IT, TAKE MY WORD I GO TO LOS ALTOS HIGH, AND ONLY MEXICANS DO BAD, ALL S.E. : MEXIACANS!!!!!!

  • I definitely agree, teachers unions are horrible. My grandfather was a teacher and headmaster for over 30 years, and many of my relatives are teachers. If you're in a teachers union, you can't even get fired for incompetency! Even some teachers that abuse/molest children can just get relocated! (rarely, but it happens). Teachers unions also get money for casinos, and we all know where they get us...

  • Honestly, the unions need to go. The younger and most of the time better teachers are losing their jobs to overpaid and horrible teachers. Luckily I am priveleged to be in a semi decent school but still the teachers try being the students friends not their teacher.

  • Definitely, school of choice all the way.

  • My brother failed Algebra TWICE at public schools, and ended up going to summer school. Then he transferred to a private school and is doing MUCH better. And this was a year before we found out he ADD. So even when he was untreated he was doing tons better. The teaching method is a better fit for the both of us. Before I followed him, I had a D in my math class the first week of school. Absolutely TERRIBLE. I would've been lost and drowning if I hadn't transferred.

  • 132 teachers =P

  • @TVKrik Tell ya what, Krik, What if everyone that wasn't "wanted" was just done away with? Unfortunately, we don't have to pretend what would happen here. The Soviets (apparently not creative enough to murder with coathangers) starved, shot and otherwise killed millions of "unwanted people, so did the nazis, and the Chinese, and Pol Pot, well I could go on, but I know this fact stuff takes up all of your time...another thing those "unwanted" people dont get to enjoy.

  • @mattxr2i So the woman gets to choose to have sex, and when she will have sex, and choose to do it without protection, but the guy is evil for choosing not to stand for murdering the unborn and unrepresented child. You know mattx2i everyday I drive to work, I could die, or get in a crippling accident, but Im alive, so I just live to the fullest. The same could be said for all, except, of course, those that are brutally murdered by well trained proffesional doctors.

  • If you're really serious; Home School.

  • Frankly, I go to a public school, and I wouldn't have it any other way because the private schools in my town suck. The school I go to is the best one in the county where I live.

That being said, support school choice and voucher programs because you want the best education. I do.

But there are a few kinks. Such as, would the schools then be titled under public schools, because they are taking federal or state dollars? Then with that new title, would the gov't. be able to take over?

    Answers?

  • @USAGymnast You know nothing about Marxism.

  • how to i move to denmarK

  • @etano1

unborn babies in general, not just black babies.

  • I was home schooled because of how bad the school system is. My 15 year old friend can't hardly read or spell. He still manages to pull good grades because of the system, so instead of fixing the problem they over look it and then tell you to go PAY for a tutor. SOOO not only are your kids spending 6 hours in school then coming home and doing homework THEN they want you to PAY for someone else to teach your kids.... Now, what the hell people?!?!

  • @danniviewpoint

If that's the case then why not just pay for the tutor in the first place and forget about public schools? It's because liberals want to brainwash kids into their beliefs that's why.

  • isn't it creepy that he likes talking to peoples kids alot........ OMG OBAMA IS PEDOBEAR!!!!!!

  • Love it ...so true....

  • Love it ...very true..!

  • If we have a voucher program. The private schools will become tainted with too many nigger kids. That's a bad thing. Republicans have always been nigger lovers though. Just check the history they don't teach you in public schools. ;-) Those pesky Republicans are always wanting to create a real fair playing board for the niggers instead of pretend fair playing boards. Democrats are right to keep the niggers in housing and in the Gov. programs. It keeps the niggers dumb. That's a good thing.

  • I beleive that school choice is a good thing.

  • abortion is a womans choice. Period. No one should interfere with that. And Vouchers to go to private school that created to make money, have no real curriculum, and hirer teachers that are not certified. Learn something before you speak you fat white BITCH. Use facts not opinions. Kids in Detroit want a public school system. its better for all extra curricular programs like sports...most small private schools dont even have a gymnasium. And yes i am from Detroit. Dumb ass idiot. Choke and die.

  • @asims0028

Do you care about life at all?! Did you know that 100% of the pro-abortionists have already been born? What about the unborn life that you destroy when you have an abortion? Does that mean nothing to you? Just face the fact, abortion is murder disguised as "women's choice" end of story.

  • @Zaxbel If someone wants an abortion, they're gonna get it, and it's better that they get it at a clinic than in a dark alleyway using a coathanger.

It is not murder, embryos cannot think or feel, and it is unknown if they would survive if they are allowed to continue living. A miscarriage, i.e a natural abortion, occurs about 40% of the time.

Children cost money to support which could destroy a poorer family who have an unwanted child. People should have a choice if they want a child.

  • @Zaxbel So you would rather a kid be born to a teenage mother and end up having a miserable life that never goes anywhere. Likely end up being a druggie or a bum. You would rather produce more people like that than give the girl a choice to not have the baby? It's HER body. Where do you come off telling her what to do with it?

  • FUCK THIS WAS AN OPTION!!!

  • the problem with the voucher program is that private schools can say no to a student. if the government is paying for the student they'll decide a school can't say no, making the private school just as bad as the public school.

  • @etano1 Why is the abortion thing a big deal? If you get rid of the problem before it becomes a problem and the child is born and has a dysfunctional childhood and the child if they are a boy more then likely will grow violent and put more stress on the judicial system if it happens to be a girl is more likely become a battered wife and that will cycle will continue to their children so why not just end it before it even starts. Bet you believe in the biblical God.

  • @HeyItzMeDawg no kidding...hmm lets waste 10+ years shall we?

  • LMFAO, the puppets are priceless! Steven, you're my hero.

  • I'm glad I wasn't alone when I first saw this, I would have gouged my eyes out with a fork, just to end the pain.

I'm glad my roommate stopped my, I feel better now.

  • @blingbling65943 12 years of public schooling and 4 years of college and you miss use my just shut up please

  • You guys encourage, just as much as any rapper, for kids to drop out of school, because you say that knowledge is so bad and elitist. It's always the republicans/whatever you guys call yourselves now who attack college graduates. Definitely doesn't seem to me to fall under family values to want your 2 dimensional 50's caricatures to drop out of school and attack education. You're the baad kids. BTW, agree w/ not expanding school hours and years. Thank God I'm out now.

  • @MyTotalRemedy Steven had a point that many school children agree with: In school a lot of what they do isn't teaching. Most of it is simply review mixed in with 1 or 2 new things a year. And they don't attack getting an education, they attack the fact that our educators don't educate well, giving out wrong information or not enough to know the story. Plenty of college graduates are bad at jobs. There's one teacher in my old district that thought if you added 1 to -1 you would get -2.

  • @MyTotalRemedy You've got to get past the myth that you learn anything in school.

  • @MyTotalRemedy Wait? You are blaming the republicans for the education problem? REALLY? Well first to think that you are truly educated in college is just silly...at least in term of politics or ANYTHING of the Liberal arts. Let's face it we both know that you can take the same books and support totally opposite opinions. And also our educational problem sucks because everyone politicizes education. Nothing real gets done except "programs" that dont work because no side compromises.

  • @MyTotalRemedy alot of what steven said is true i've seen plenty of bad teachers that aren't fired because of tenure. the education all it is really is redundant review with 1 or 2 new things thrown in and what your saying is completely untrue. we are people that want to speak what we think and we think that the US education system is crap can it b changed? yes it can but there is little effort to be made and obama kept saying to embrace the future. 2 words BULL SHIT he isn't and he won't

  • @demondragon45

You know, you're actually right. The education system is crap. Far too many of our kids than I would like to comprehend don't know where Kazakhastan, Iran, or even Iraq are. Did you know that? It's unbelievable.

  • :D Steve is right! Longer schools days and year and less break and vacation leads to Lazyness in kids in teens and lazyness leads to not tying in school. and that leads up to less good grades and high school diplomas and schalarships.!

  • @Ray28242 couldnt agree more, get rid of my vacation and ill do NOTHING

  • knowledge is the best weapon out there well it dosent hurt to couple it with a

sig p226 anyway the best way to make a country stronger is by the next generation thats why here in mexico we are tring to improve schools the get out of the shit hole

so yeah the better the education the better the country

  • Steven Crowder, the 21st century's Jonathan Swift.

  • Why cant we have vouchers?

Im going to be a senior in H.S. int the fall.

Yes i attend a private H.S. I have since my Soph. year.

I have attended the Public H.S that controls the part of Aurora I live in.

That Principal didnt care that one of her teachers didnt care about the students.

The H.S. that I attend now is quite honestly in the poorer part of Denver, but the entire staff cares and puts time into the students.

Our test scores are really high as a result.

    What's wrong with that?

  • @iamaMonkie Nothing! Absolutely nothing! The teachers are all about the teachers. I say abolish public education and just give vouchers to families. Tudors can teach say 3 to 4 students for the year and still make a decent wage. Then they are held accountable by the parents. It takes control away from government. Government is the problem. In fact government is always the problem. Never a solution!

  • @iamaMonkie You got lucky, I live in the somewhat ghetto part of Portland and got stuck with a gangbang high school. I requested transfer after transfer, they wouldn't let me go because I was one of the few white kids that went there.

  • I'm soooo glad I finished school this year....

  • Man, I love cursing puppets.

  • And by the way, happy 4th of July!

  • @bonedraman And if the government takes over Healthcare, no one can regulate them if they become corrupt. THEY, the government, are supposed to regulate corporations and businesses; now that they are in charge, no one can regulate THEM!

  • Does anyone really want Washington money going to the private schools? If nothing else, I can guarantee that it would mean that schools would have to meet government approved criteria to receive vouchers. This would make it virtually impossible for schools that do not meet those criteria to compete with other private schools. The government monopoly on education might be somewhat diluted, but it would still be vastly expanded.

  • And why would giving more money to an incompeteant system (our school system) make it any better?

  • Use vouchers so that children can choose a good school, and not one filled w/ violent, drug-using students who couldn't care less about an education. FORCING STUDENTS INTO SCHOOL DOES NOT ENCOURAGE THEM TO LEARN! Its not the role of the government to run a school. Why is the government deciding what my children are learning? WHY FORCE STUDENTS TO GO TO A TERRIBLE SCHOOL, JUST SO TEACHERS WONT LOSE THEIR JOBS?

  • @aaa333ify thats y the goverment shouldnt run anything if you think they have done shit to school look that the postal service and amtrack well now also look at GM and the other shit they have just taken over.

  • I completly agree with federal vouchers.

  • @etano1 i not just that he doesn't care about minorities, he doesn't care about the human race in general, or again like you said, why support abortions and partial birth abortions

  • I love the curseing pupet!!

  • Finally, I can agree with Steven on something. The 'No Child Left Behind' act is ridiculous. I also like the fact that he mentioned Belgium, my home country.

    Yay Belgium!

    (silence)

    I'm lonely...

But anyway, he's pretty much right. I don't like capitalistic egoïsm that much, but intelligence is that much more important than capital so in this case, I love my anti-socialist school system.

  • @nade486 lol its only a matter of time before the control that too, so you should be happy wen that happens

  • Ay MY school, they tell us that fast food is making us dumb. Liberal trash. :(

  • if Obama made school longer and shorter vacation's

i would drop out and get home schooled.

  • @222delta1 couldn't agree more

  • @fishfinder401 haha thanks...

  • True, more time in school is not the problem. But Bush passed a law that made the schools that don't graduate enough students, get even less funding. He thought it would make teachers work harder, but in reality all it did was make already underfunded inner city schools become even less well-funded.

  • 1:15, LOL.

  • Hello I would like to say that I am not much of a conspiracy theorist, but I would like to see if maybe you would watch a movie on You Tube called The Fall of the Republic, and it will answer the question why Obama wants our kids to spend more time in school

  • Obama stinks!

  • YESS vouchers! the school system in canada fails.

  • the puppet is hilarious

  • i like China's idea, put em all in sweat shops 15 hrs a day, little bastards get stupider every time we give em more money.

  • do someone from Detroit is wearing a New York Yankees hat???

  • I used to go to a Private School. I loved it until my socialist city wouldn't allow them to use their building without a bathroom on every floor.

Now I go to a public school. It's a decent school, but it's not the same.

  • @rlnilson u have my sympathy friend

  • i go to private school

  • I hate school etheir way

  • school choice all the way

  • @goairforce1000

I agree 110% after watching this video, it reminded me of the choices I have to make when I have my own children. Making sure they go to a decent school, but since schools are designated by zoning. I will have to move to that location too which I am ok with this. But if we have school choice I will not have to make such drastic moves.

  • Some public schools in Virginia are very good. The only problem are budget cuts and our god awful school lunches. In fact, there should be more competition, not only in schools but also in our food that promote healthier lifestyles.

There's also some terrible teachers that, despite constant complaints, are still teaching.

Although I agree that teacher unions are powerful, I think it should stay but with less power.

  • Teacher Unions have destroyed public schools!

  • Public school are an abomination, here in Arizona there is a catholic high school called San Miguel HIgh School. They are catholic, but accept every relegion. They are private, but they found and innovative way for low-income students to attend. Its called a corporate internship program where the school provides jobs in hospitals, offices, ext... and the money earned by students goes tword the payment of tuition. Now 95% of students end up going to college. Fuck the liberals. I was a student.

  • @laetrille You can't be catholic, or any religion, and still accept all religions.

  • you a dumbass godnothing666

  • @godnothing666 Care to enlighten us fools on how it actually works? If there's something wrong, you should be able to argue it convincingly, right? Then go for it.

  • As much as public schools suck, I recommend that in the mean time you take matters into your own hands and make sure your kids get taught correctly at home. I'd probably be some deadbeat working at McDonald's with no college education if my parents hadn't helped me through all the lousy years of public school.

  • Dude, my 11 year old son says that he would LOVE school choice.

  • what are you talking about? school is doublespeak for brothel.

stop sending your kids to institutions filled with pedophiles and degenerates, unless of course thats what you want your child to be.

  • i started a charter school...no peace prize(or funding)

union teachers dumbing down america's kids...dats a peace prize!

  • I caught an 8th grader stealing from a public school library. She did NOT get into any trouble, nor did she apologize to the librarian. The school counselor felt sorry for her and paid for the item. Next day she was checking out books with NO shame. She will continue stealing.

Recently an honor roll student in a private school was caught drinking. She was reprimanded, and kicked out of the school for the rest of the year. She learned a lesson. The school has no disciplinary problems.

  • @mathman1550

The actual necessity for transportation in many areas is low. It's like the school lunch program. do you have any idea how much a school pays for this? 9.3 billion went into this in 2008 and it has been studly climbing in hundreds of millions since it started. I can't imagine a situation where a packed lunch would be impossible for a family to prepare. If school dropped or changed it to a paid program, funding given to the school could be spread out to other programs.

  • *continuing previous comment* Of course, society has been so long without proper discipline in schools that it would be very hard to start now. If we were to start right now it would have to be only those going into the first grade this year onward because of the immense egos kids develop going through middle school. It truly is amazing what goes on in public schools. If parents saw what went on there would really truly be an outcry to change something very very drastically.

  • Honestly crowder, what i really think, is that LITERALLY 99% of the problem lies with political correctness- the 2nd most destructive thing to America besides Liberalism. One of the many things in public school political correctness screws with is the ability to discipline children. The ability to properly discipline children in elementary school- middle school would solve SO MANY PROBLEMS including but not limited to crime rate, school performance, and overall attitude. What do you think?
