  • i love the awkward tension in the room

  • "Ay! You cheeky tit!"

  • It's great to see Alan Partridge back.

  • Is that Tim Key or something?

  • @disamjisa Yeh, its Tim Key

  • Quality.

  • watching this series again...and I dare say it's funnier than the first time....classic Partridge!!

When he is thinking what he had for his lunch....he is looking back of his life, it's quite poignant...and then....Kippers! It was kippers.

  • Well I can honestly say that that was absolutely fucking hilarious.

  • [Any blind man]

  • I knew I was with the old Alan again when he was all "The wind in her hair, going Awwwwwwarghhh". Incidentally, I had to ring someone from Grazia up the other day as part of my internship, and I very nearly began asking them if they knew whether Anthea Turner read their magazine and if they liked cheesy onion crisps.

  • @babyminnow That's one of my favourite bits of this episode. :-)

  • @babyminnow He just would fancy someone like Anthea Turner...or Lesley Judd.

  • I love how they just take the piss out of Stevie Wonder, If he was there now he would probably slap the cane around their heads. Twat.

  • Why is this not on telly!! Let me on the telly!!!!

  • Yeayeayeayeayeayeayeayea you had lunch.

    Lol

  • lol its the subtle moments. "Cheesy... cheesy onion... cheese and onion" Then the way he throws his hands in the air like "what the fuck was that?"

  • Excellent piece of comedy

  • "Do you ever have dark thoughts..?"

    "No..not really.."

  • coogans a genius

  • jim is astride a static exercise cycle... Dam Alan is the single most perfect comedy character ever created.. Is Armando Ianucci involved with these or is it all coogan?

  • "We had brunch the other day..."

    "Well I had lunch!"

    "YEYEYEYEYEYEYEYEYEYE"

  • man the barricades

  • No embedding? How can I possibly share this with my narrow minded friends?

  • designed to make you cringe , but my local radio stations have been broadcasting with presenters like Alan , since year dot !! i know that"s where the inspiration comes from , but sometimes it is so accurate , i think Alan is moonlighting in my area !!! genius.

  • Love the look of panic in his eyes as Alan can't remember what he had for breakfast lol.

  • pop not broth

  • Tim Key is amazing in this.

  • if the bbc dont give him a 3rd series I WILL destroy my cereals!

  • if carling sponsored partridge mini series oh wait....

  • so many surreal moments of genius... 'popnotbroth' 'do you ever have dark thoughts?' 'i was the fall guy' .... this is just superb.

  • @crackart Haha yeah "i was the fall guy". Love that kinda forced way he says it. Does that at the most random of times lol

  • funniest man on the planet, yeh give him a third series you shit!!! Blunch, awesome..

  • "This is GREAT BANTER"

  • steve coogan=genius

  • You know I have just been watching some of the old episodes on youtube - and this new format is just as good as the old format. I do wish Alan would make a return to TV - or even make some more YT films.

I love Vic and Bob - but would rather have had another Alan P.

Please Fosters - bring back the Partrdige!!!!!!

  • @weirdcitykid Sorry, mate. This doesn't stand up to the original I'm Alan Partridge whatsoever.

  • Petition to get him another series somebody message me when they have made it because im a lazy bastard.

  • popnotbroth

  • Genius

  • lose My Family and other assorted shite and get Alan back on the BBC. NOW!!

  • CASHBACK! ive watched the whole series a few times and im astonished that this isnt on the bbc, give him another series you shit! literally some of the best acting i have seen. cashback! back of the net! lin your laughing at weather! not my words... the words of shakin stevens

  • @d3vans

lol I think he has piles.

  • Comment removed

  • and thats a relish.

  • if u want to see coogans writing at its best, not edited by the bbc, watch hamlet 2. i recommend it to any coogan fan.

  • Eh you cheeky tit!

  • @De Chief

    i hope your joking.

  • Blunch! Brilliant!

  • If I am from a third world country I may be unfamiliar with bikes....wtf....steups...maybe if you're from a first world country you can't remember what you had for lunch and have nothing better to talk about on live radio...what a wanker....

  • @DeChief1

you do realise this isn't real, right?

  • Please coogan, lannuci and bayhnham please get off your ass and make a third series, I would do anything seriously. The amount of times I have watched series 1 and 2 is ridiculous.

  • I hate to say this, but as funny as some of the quotes in here are, the one scene set of it being in just a radio studio makes it a tad boring, which is a shame as i love AP.

  • ... you've been cleared to work with children..?

  • Not in the least surprised that the BBC wouldn't commission it: far too dark, disturbing and maliciously intelligent for today's TV audiences brought up on Tellytubbies. More anodyne pap is what the masses need in 2011!

The horror of Alan Partridge is that he's just a scaled-up version of something that lurks deep inside all of us.

HEALTH WARNING: don't view the other programmes all at one sitting, because it may prove too much for your system. Your toes may end up permanently curled.

  • @VocusDwabe "A bit extreme but you can't fault his logic".

  • I don't get it

  • Any blind man! :D

  • had to check it had frozen at 2:31 !

    so funny :D

  • "...blunch?" "aaah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah.. That's excellent, really good"

  • ...do you ever have dark thoughts?

    wonderful :D

  • @AlanPQuotes on twitter.Lovely stuff, thanks.

  • popnotbroth. ever met a child the size of an ox?

  • the ford escort cabriolet of women lol ...liquid comedy

  • Yeah give him another series you sods!

  • Comment removed

  • every time i watch this series i laugh. i also take in new stuff, so much wit flying at ya too much for one watch!!

  • Comment removed

  • what would happen if you just ate crisps?

  • I love the idea of watching North Norfolk Digital online from a third world country! Its ridiculous!

  • Brilliant!

  • ... i had......silence...... lmao

  • I wasn't sure about Sidekick Simon initially - I thought "Where's Lynn?"....but he works and gives Partridge a new twist. :-)

  • PODCAST PLEAAAASE!!!

  • Sadly this isn't actually remotely funny. I've only watched the first series of Alan Partridge, which was hilarious, but this is just self indulgent bullshite.

I wasn't in tears of laughter, more like tears of sadness that Steve Coogan appears to have lost it. This ISN'T funny.

  • @packoftwenty WELL FUCK OFF THEN!!!

  • @packoftwenty gay lord

  • im on gods side, i cant stand the devil!!!

  • PLEASE put these on podcast fosters!!!

  • so thats Pop not Broth.

  • surreally funny

  • HELP, Can you get this on a podcast or anything???

  • "If you are watching the internet from a third world country perhaps your unfamiliar with bikes" lol at that

  • smelll my cheese you mother

  • cheesy onion!

  • "Hey you cheeky tit!"

That cracked me up so deep. So deep. (It's a thing I'm trying to get caught on, tell your friends).

  • Comment removed

  • @lucrativeelfmongrel I tried mate, but it all fell down when I told my friends where my dad took me on the weekend. "Wensleydale," I said "My dad took me so deep in Wensleydale".

Then one of them made a cheese joke and the whole thing devolved into a mediocre farce. We don't talk anymore.

  • WHAT! is this a new series of Im Alan Partridge that somehoe IVE BLOODY MISSED!?

  • @Raveneyes yeah its been put on youtube without a great deal of advertising

  • Of all the twelve episodes, I think this is probably the best...and they've all had me in stitches.

  • Shame this friendship breaks down haha.

  • 64 people would take gravy

  • Anthea 'The Body' Turner ;)

  • man the barricades

  • Why the hell isnt this on the bbc?? There is loads of shite on there this could replace in a heartbeat.

Give him another series you shit.

  • @DandyDubber haha good one ;)

  • @DandyDubber Annoys me that these comments are always so highly rated, yeah we all want a new series, you think the BBC wouldn't commision a new series in a heartbeat? Ever considered that maybe Coogan, Iannuci and Baynham have moved on from the idea of writing, filming and producing an entire new series?

  • @TheSludgeMan The quote at the end of my comment, Only "AP" fans will understand it. Yeh I agree they have moved on but even to buy this and stick it on even BBC2 on a sunday evening for a few weeks would be better than "songs of praise"

  • @DandyDubber I understand that your comment was jocular, and I got the reference from the meeting in episode 1, series 1 with Tony Hayres haha. I have to say I completely agree with you and it would be great to see it recommissioned, it's just that I see people say that a lot on Alan Partridge videos and I don't think it's fair to blame the BBC! That's all :)

  • @TheSludgeMan ...ok you know your stuff lol.

Sorry but the BBC dont have any sympathy with me....We pay a TV license and get laughed at from other countries for having to do so. Most of the media is full of lies anyway, Alan Partridge was a one off gem.

    A--HAAAH . =)

  • @DandyDubber Not being on the BBC gravy train keeps him cutting edge. Smell my cheese you mother

  • "Eh you cheeky tit!"

  • Can I just shock you? I like wine

  • @Iminthecarsi bag of old cement, gone hard.

  • How can someone who creates awful comedy character after awful comedy character, every single one being painfully unfunny, also create the singularly greatest comedy character ever. Doesn’t make sense. Must be like M. Night Shyamalan with 6th sense

  • Brilliant. Great to see him back, and great to see Tim Key on there. Wonderful stuff.

  • His laugh at "Blunch" is just godlike.

  • Don't know why I'm apologising actually, he obviously got a package from Fosters for this half-arsed drivel

  • Sorry Coogan, won't be watching the others.

  • @Tufty good, now fuck off

  • @ivorbigonee Thank God for stock come-backs, where would the unfunny be without them?

  • @Tufty if you were a real ap fan you'd get it.

    watch?v=GspKbTyZHRg

  • @ivorbigonee because that translates so well out of context. You sound like someone who's suddenly become obsessed by it, perhaps in the last few years, university perhaps? That's where most people catch up. And a word to the wise, "real" "ap" fans don't find this funny. They really don't.

  • @Tufty i said get it, not find it funny, now fuck off

  • @Tufty "real ap fans don't find this funny". Really? You poor thing.

  • @Tufty yes, because people who have watched alan partridge over the last few years don't qualify as 'real fans'. How many years does it take? I've been a fan since The Day Today in the 90's and I think this is really well written and funny. Everyone has their own opinion, and all die hard AP fans I know love midmorning matters, but if it doesn't tickle your pickle then fair enough

  • @Tufty again, i said get it, not find it funny! you compleme cunm!!!

  • 0% finance available.

  • Yea yea yea yea yea yea

  • steve coogan has unbelievable comedic timing.... he pionnered british humour how it is today. even the gervais/pegg comedy comes from coogan's genius.

  • @johnykoop thanks for that

  • @johnykoop Agreed, his timing is impeccable, I love the bits (I believe a scone) when he's eating and 'ejects' it right on cue, or using a roll-on stick..brilliant.

  • I'm doing it all in one hefty sesh!

  • I'll bet good money that David Blunkett likes Anthea Turner!

  • They do it on purpose, Lynn! ;)

  • Maybe a beef paste cob... Inspired.

It's up there with "Martyn Lewis got two power showers out of them - one for him, one for his brother in law"

  • "Dismount, Reverend Jim Jones!!....." LMFAO

  • Why has this utter genius got only 640,000 views when some bullshit, generic, crass shit like Catherine Tate got millions? It's shameful that the vast demographic consists of brainless idiots! This is total brilliance!

  • "Pop Not Broth!"

    That's "Pop Not Broth!"

  • Yes, can we get this one in HD please? Thanks!

  • classic queen

  • @tommykingers Mainly because I believe Ricky Gervais is a sensationalist not a comedian, and his efforts at genuine comedy, or observations, or cynicism, fall very short compared to say, Steve Coogan or the writers (Curtis etc) of the material I mentioned before (Blackadder), their comedy is often cerebral, it's very personal opinion, but I do believe that the comparison of 'Alan Partridge is equally as funny as David Brent' is laughable.

  • @mattstone12 ricky gervais is known for beingt very funny. Listen to the ricky gervais podcasts, he is a comedy genius. Dont get me wrong, steve coogan beats him by a mile.

  • @Gellis2009 Want to know what comedy genius is? look at some Galton & Simpson material.

I don't like Gervais, his style, his attitude or his writing, it's a cringe-mongering slag-fest, and it's cretinous.

Coogan is a great actor, probably one of the finest character actors currently working, I presume you mean in performance? Coogan as a writer is good, but people like Peter Baynham, chevron action flash..(you may get that, you may not...he wrote that line) and Ianucci are seminal writers.

  • @mattstone12 Partridge and Brent are very much comparable in their anachronistic attention to the mundane. they simply use different devices to convey their comedy: Brent/Office using documentary style fimic techniques to create verisimilitude. Richard Curtis though, genius? Now that IS laughable. Blackadder was decent but that was a long time ago. He wants shooting for Vicar of Dibley - now how did that get a second series?!

  • @mikemcd1971 Well, first off, they are comparable in the way that they are both socially inept and interact with others in a often disastrous way, the way the jokes they tell are 'delivered' and those jokes themselves are very different. If you think it isn't, great! That's why we're all different.

The office is nothing short of a love story, with accentuated characters surrounding a main story. The story of partridge is more like an evolution. It's writing is far superior also.

  • @mikemcd1971 How did the Office get a second series?

You tell me why people commission things? But there's no denying VoD's (you cannot relate opinion to consensus) appeal, and shows Curtis's ability to have a palette of styles, his material for Comic Relief is fantastic too.

I use the term Genius to convey that he is successful and garners huge critical and public praise from a massive demographic table, a real genius I suppose would be Plato or Dante, but I think you probably know that.

  • 3rd world countries are watching on visual aid but dont know what a bike it......Lol!

  • Well, I've loved this as a whole from episode 1 to 11 and I can confidently say that this is Steve Coogan and Armando iannucci's finest work to date. Love it, so many brilliant moments that it's taken Partridge to a new level. Well done.

  • genius

  • YEA YEA YEA YEA YEA YEA YEA. lmao he gets so excited bless him.

  • "OI...you cheeky tit"

    this is actually really funny!

  • "That's not a condiment its a hot sauce"

"Bisto then" "That's a brand of gravy"

    "Branston pickle then"

"And that's a relish. Its 8 minutes to twelve..."

Less than a minute in and im already in tears of laughter!! Brilliant.

  • Do you ever have dark thoughts?

  • BLUNCHlolOLOL

  • Ahh, I love F.O.Ps.

  • kiss my face !

  • I wonder if there is a xmas special or a new series of im alan partridge he will slip in fosters instead of a pint of bitter or a ladyboy ?

  • MID MORNING MATTERS: 'It's like a breath of fresh air'. ;-)

  • ;)

  • So that's............POP NOT BROTH

  • is this all it is?...13 minutes...

  • I don't want to seem rude but mentioning blackadder and Ricky Gervais in the same sentiment as Steve Coogan is laughable.

  • FYI the actor who plays the sidekick is Tim Key. Very funny man in his own right.

  • guy looks like tom from father ted

  • "A beef paste cob!"

  • Nice to see Steve back doing what he does best. I hope he forgets that nonsense about trying to make it in Hollywood. Let's hope Ricky Gervais catches himself on as well and gets back to making good entertaining British comedy. Now all we need is a fifth Blackadder.

  • For all you who thought Partridge wasn't funny anymore..EAT THAT.

  • Is that Glen Ponder sat next to him?
