  • nice ride dude

  • Hello I write from Italy because I really liked your bike and I wanted all the details on the changes you make on the bike, you could write clearly making a list of items purchased or madechanges so I can understand and translate in Italian because I would do the same thing with my bike.

if you can put links or sites where you got the pieces or photos you madeany changes let me know that I give you my email and communicate better.

    beautiful bike.

    regards

  • Hey are your bars dimpled or is it internally wired?

  • nice work mate. the front tyre can I ask what it's off?

  • this thing would look perfect if it had a very small rear fender on it

  • certainly did a beautiful job on this machine

  • what year v star is this and is it a 650 or 1100? I'm looking at buying an 02 650 classic and hoping I can do something similar to what you have.

  • what size are you tires? thanks

  • Did you have to buy new cabling kit for your apes? or are those factory?

  • @wild2ro new cables.

  • Заднее колесо очень близко к сиденью, мне кажется. Страшновато за очко всё таки XD

  • @zodiak2034 thank you! and thanks to google translate.

  • The bars are just the right height. I've seen too many bikes with "reach-for-the-sky" apes. The State Highway Patrol just love those bars.

  • @mickeymousebiker1 sometimes I wish for a tad higher but I think you are right.

  • @apexfactor Bars that are too high result in rider fatigue. Years ago, I ran a pair of high apes on my chopped Pan/Shovel. My arms became numb after a two-hundred mile putt (with no stops). Ride safe.

  • Badass bike brah

  • @Ladon68 Thanks!

  • WoW!!! That is definitely one sweet bike, V star or otherwise!!!

  • @SuperYoungonce Thanks!

  • Nice job

  • @nelio166 Thanks!

  • moto linda e o som impecável também, parabéns!!

  • @pelosgd Thank you!

  • Are you running the same wheels, front and back? the standard 16"s on the Vstar Classics?

  • @10jef02l front is a classic, rear is stock custom.

  • This is a very "quarrelsome" video. =p

  • @edstone61n yeah very heated discussion/video ;)

  • So good!! How did you paint the battery covers etc.. the chrome covered plastics? Sand them back? to what grit? how has it held up?

  • @excellencyism actually parts are flaking and I need to do them again. But yeah sand them prime and paint.

  • Hey man, how'd you mount that solo seat? Is it just a Harley mount that you slapped on there or was it actually a vstar mount? I can't find any make for the v star online....?

  • @TheAndrewdolan just bought a solo seat kit and mounted the springs and hinge to the frame.

  • @apexfactor thanks man. Do you remember which solo seat kit you got? I don't see any online that list the V Star for fitment, its mostly harley stuff.

  • @TheAndrewdolan Looks great where did you get the mount? i have seen plenty of dodgy ones..

  • @excellencyism I actually have had troubles with the scissor seat springs. I have broken 5 or 6 and I only weigh 180 lbs. I have also broken several of the front pivot mount bracket. Now I'm using coil springs for the back and haven't had any problems.

  • @apexfactor are those rims painted or powder coated? how much would something like that cost?

  • @TheAndrewdolan Blue Collar Bobbers out of Salt ake sell complete bober set ups for these bikes seats and all

  • screw the bike what kind car is that in background?!?!?!?! I love it!

  • Is that a classic or a custom, has a fat font tyre like a classic but doesnt have the fork covers like the classic?

  • @amckree it is a custom but with a classic front wheel. Good eye!

  • @apexfactor sorry one more question does the classic front wheel bolt straight on or did you modify forks at all? does it affect handling at all negatively ?.... your bike looks awesome you should be proud

  • @amckree thanks! nahh bolted right up, no problems with handling.

  • nice bike dude. does anyone know how much decent vstar 650 would cost? i want to make one of these

  • @pyroguitarman4ever you can get used ones for a couple thousand.

  • @apexfactor would that be a newer model or older? may i ask what year yours is and for how much you purchased it?

  • @pyroguitarman4ever mine is a 2007 but I removed the AIS, I will say it was under 5k.

  • nicely done on your vstar bro.....if you dont mind could you send some pictures of the bike nary4tom96@gmail.com thanks bro

  • what size tires are you running?

  • @rollincoal03 Hey guys if you just look back through the comments I already posted on the sizes but for the lazy... they are 180/70 on the rear and 150/80 front; bridgestone exedra.

  • think all the vstar bobbers i see have all got the original tanks i rekon there to fat for the bike wen modified into a bobber needs slimmer tank but they suit the origanal xsv vstar classic bike look

  • @manakianikahu67 I agree. But I like the usability when I go on long trips of the tank size. Maybe some day I'll change up the tank.

  • what size tires?

  • How does it ride without the rear fender? Any issues? And are those Straight pipes that you cut yourself or who makes them?

  • nice!!!!

  • The perfect bike <3

  • This video went viral on Sao Tome and Principe

  • Hell Yeah! Congrats to having excellent taste! \m/ \m/

  • what seat did you use man?

  • @1080powers Larosa custom.

  • so sick it hurts. thanks for posting and posst more of it if you can. very nice

  • @SmokeEm122 Thank you, i will try!

  • S W E E T !

  • @superford500 Thank you!

  • Nice bobber! How wide is the Apes ? I saw that they were 10" ! Where did you buy it?

  • That bike is sick, hands down.

  • @dangervision07 Thanks!

  • very nice job on the bike dude - I'm looking to build another bobber some day soon! Love the look of yours!

  • @YFZ52 Thank you!

  • Nice job...That came out totally badass

  • @KingmanOldDude Thank you!

  • what size headlight is that? where did you get it? what size are the apes? they look great!

  • @allbuddhas69 It is just the stock headlight painted black. Apes are 10". Thanks man!

  • did you have to buy longer cables for the 10" apes? if so can you point me in the right direction, i have a 2001 650 that im workin on currently, i love it. please lemme know! thanks!

  • @baysidetattoo yeah you can get cables at barnettclutches, just google their name.

  • @apexfactor I need to know the same thing. Let me know

  • You set it up just right. It has to be fun to ride. I have been wanting to chop mine. I finally found a place that builds chopper frames for the 650 only. I hope mine turns out half as bad ass as yours is

  • @asbkdw I'm sure it will end up great! make sure to post up some vids.

  • me wants

  • @vonVanir thanks!

  • should of kept mine, and not bothered with the xv 1600

  • @kopynd1 I like the bike, I just wish I had a bigger motor for some of the long distance weekend trips me and my crew make. Thanks for the comment.

  • Dude, this bike is gorgeous!

I'm trying to do the same to my XVS650, but my problem is that it is a custom, so the front tyre is thiner. Do you know if i can use a larger tyre without having to change the rim (is that even called rim)??

  • @Aartarak ahh mine is a custom too. I got the front wheel from a classic. Not sure if you can install a larger tire on the custom wheel.

  • Friend, your bike is for me the most beautiful youtube, and I think one of the most beautiful designs I've ever seen.

I have a 750cc Virago, and I try to leave it like yours.

The handlebars, you had to do or is it some particular model?

Sorry for the english, I'm not very good.

    Hugs.

    Matheus Pedrosa

    Sao Paulo / Brazil

  • @comandantepedrosa nice! you have pics of your bike? They are just 10" mini apes.

  • too sweet

  • @soefinwhat56 thanks!

  • Great bike! Right now I am looking at a v star as my next bike!

  • @TheKillerRiceball nice, make sure to post up some vids!

  • what make and size are those tires? love your bike!

  • @allbuddhas69 they are 180/70 on the rear and 150/80 front; bridgestone exedra. Thanks!

  • fucking great bike!

  • @RocketDeluxe1 thank you!

  • @apexfactor i've just subscribed!!

  • @RocketDeluxe1 Thanks!

  • Did you have the wheels painted? if so how?

  • @smartcocker yeah they are painted, but the paint is actually flaking, i'm going to have to redo it.

  • this is one of the best bikes i have ever seen in my life!!! GREAT WORK !!!

  • @nemanjastruja thank you!

  • Nicely Done!!! Sent you a message!!

  • sick bike man, how much was it to powder coat your rims? And where did you get the exhaust from? Thanks man im working on my vstar at the moment as well.

  • @TheGq88 my buddy at auto addictions in michigan did the exhaust. thanks for the compliments.

  • First, SICK BIKE!!! second, is that the stock front wheel? If so, what model? If not, what is it? Thanks!

  • @kingmanjr00 the wheel is stock but from a classic.

  • are theose wheels stock aside from the paint?

  • absolutely sweet machine!! well done

  • with no rear fender do you get dirt on your back?

  • Can your buddy make a set of pipes for my 2002 v-star 650? How much?

  • The video started, my jaw hit the floor, and im like ""Damn!" Sick bike homes.

  • That is one beautiful bobber! Loving the fat front tire, though I noticed that the forks are from a Custom (not Classic) model, so I'm assuming this is a Custom that comes with a 2.5"x19" front wheel. Did you have to swap that for a wider 16" front wheel? Appreciate your help, as I'm looking to do the same to my bike.

  • Really nice bike. Liking those white walls. What kind of handle bars do you have on it?

  • Nice bike bro! Is your pipes straight?

  • @demiskipr Thanks! Yeah they are straight through.

  • Really nice job mate!

    Is the front raked out?

  • @ooooooooooooooopppps Thanks! Nope the front isn't.

  • Hey man do you have a list of everything you've done this is what ive been tryin to find to build mine off of.

  • @famoussas503 there isn't really a lot done. Should be fairly easy to figure out from the video and from my comments on this vid. Post up a vid when you get yours done!

  • Nine !!! I like the color

  • @pepik87 thanks man!

  • Did u make the exhaust yourself i like it. Did u just use some pre bent pieces like from biltwell or something. Looking good bro keep it up check my bikes out they look simular

  • @Kaozcustoms made from scratch, I didn't make the pipes though, a buddy of mine did. Thanks, I'll check out your bikes for sure!

  • Great looking bobber man!Can you tell me how much have you lowered it?thx

  • @anpanik1 About 4" or so.

  • Were did you get those pipes? I have a 04 looking for set.

  • @twinbadger1 they are custom. I should have sold them I ended up going a different route (custom again).

  • Excellent looking bike man.

  • Hey man...Sweet Bike! Did you require extended cables for your mini apes??

  • @SuperC457 yeah get cables if you are going to go with apes.

  • Niiiice....

  • Any chance of getting the colour code for that red paint? It seems to pop way more than any other candy apple red I've seen...

  • @TheRmaguire umm not sure what the color code is but it is a stock color from yamaha.

  • Also, this is by far the badest bike I've seen. I will be copying your style just a bit!!!

  • Will the J Slam keep me from putting a bobbed rear fender on? I just don't want the fender to rub the tire. Also, how stiff is the ride with the J Slam? The roads here in Oklahoma are absolutely terrible, so I've been thinking about doing a 2.25" drop with a progressive spring.

  • @erikrinehart11 nope the j slam will not keep you from putting a bobbed fender on. I just haven't figure out what kind of fender I want to run...if at all. I did bob the stock fender for when my girl wants to ride. I don't find the ride harsh at all.

  • @apexfactor Check out bluecollarbobbers they have pre-fabricated bobber kits including the rear fender. Everything is pre-drilled and ready to be painted and then bolted on. Personally I think that their rear fender kit is pretty nice for the fairly cheap price.

  • Nice bike are you running the same size tire on the front and back? If so what size are thay and is it the stock rims Thanks

  • @twinbadger1 no running two different tire sizes 16" wheel front 15" wheel on back

  • Why a soft tail one, cuz roads in Russia are shit)

  • Dude, sweet bike! Is it a hard-tail one or you`ve just used a lowering kit? I am planning to buy a 2 inch rear lowering kit for my V-Star 650 but I suppose Its wont give such a sweet low effect

  • @Shest89 thanks, it is a soft tail still. Here before you buy your lowering kit google julio slam

  • @apexfactor Thanx a lot man, you`ve been very helpfull)) I am crazy about bobbers, but I live in Moscow and I always wanted to make a softtail one) I m lookin at this kit on Ebay, it seems to me that the peocedure and the results should be similar, except the drilling and stuff.

    Yamaha V-STAR 650 lowering kit 1.5 inches VSTAR 650

Check this out) I`ll be happy to hear you thoughts. I have also seen the front fork 1.5 inch lowering kit, do u think its neccesary? I belive not

  • Man, that looks so nice!

  • hey man, do you have baffles in those pipes or are the strait? Did you jet it?

  • @MrGleamin thanks, they are just straight pipes. Yeah i rejetted and did the GAK mod.

  • Look great man! What kind of springer seat set up are you running?

  • @iowawd thanks I'm running a custom Larosa seat with 2" springs.

  • @apexfactor Is this 13'' seat?

  • Comment removed

  • hey man, nice bobber, sounds great... how hot are the pipes getting ?are those pipes made from some special material ? thnx

  • @roofcrash

The pipes don't seem to get any hotter than normal pipes, but I got the pipes on late in the season, and they will be wrapped for this season. Nahh, just standard SS.

  • Spyrespaker: yes it has been lowered.

  • very nice bobber hopefully have a video up soon of mine

  • Nice looking bike! Are you running 150/80 both front and rear? If so, do they fit on the stock wheels without any issues? Also, any suspension mods? Well done...

  • Thanks, the are 10" mini apes.

  • Man your bike looks awesome!!

Question: what is the height of your bars? and did you require a cable extension kit?

  • cool bike! sick colour! can you tell me has it been lowered??

  • Thanks for the comments guys.

  • Good jop man!

  • Awsome job man! Best V-star/ bobber on here yet.... Congrats.

  • Thanks man! Yeah it is wider than stock 150/80.

  • Bike looks awesome man, pipes sound great. What size is the tire on the front?, it looks bigger than stock.
