Cooooooool they were influenced by Roxy Music! I mean this video is very much paying an homage to the early Eno era Roxy Music.. it's like 'Virgina Plain' & 'Ladytron' combined (though updated and not as clever).. coincidentally Goldfrapp used to be my favourite band a looong time ago (for a short while), now Roxy Music is my all time favourite.

God, the British Synth scene has gotten so sterile and boring...steal a riff from an old American classic like Norman Greenbaum's Spirit in the Sky and assemble a bunch of 40 something dole musicians with a Marlen Dietrich wannabe vocalist and sell it to Simon Cowell who funds a big studio for a week then releases/ markets the garbage down our throats as finitum until a zillion sheeple buy the crap.
