Thanks Pablo. Don't think the ":knowing Americans" remark about the gun escaped me! Hahahaaa! I agree with you...I think it is too small to be a viable field pack. However, it is a great size for every day carry. It isn't as purse like, like the versipacs are, and it handles a little more edc gear. I still use my Jumbo for tracking, and the Vulture 2 for anything substantial or an extended stay in the bush. Thanks for the review pal. 5 starz.
All the exterior straps are M.O.L.L.E. and with the Maxpedition Tie Tac you can attach all manner of additional gear bags and pouches. As I understand it the Sitka is for Urban use. The main pocket for a lap top and the little mesh and other pockets in it for peripherials for the lap top. The other pockets for lunch and snacks and maybe a change of clothes or rain gear while running around on the job or at university. Also as a single day pack.
all these small maxpedition packs excel at one thing: a scouting pack.

Nice review, but it lost me when I realized it's a slingbag. I prefer the balance and security of a conventional two-strap backback.

Like you said when you had the Sitka loaded, Don't be fooled by its size, you can get alot of stuff in Maxpedition packs.

We do like pockets for our pistols :)
Good review.
Too bad it doesn't take a full camel back.

Lol. I guessed so!
The sleeve takes a 3 litre camelbak size-wise, but I wouldn't fill it up to full as it makes it very uncomfortable.

Pablo...did I see that right? At 2:14 you show two pockets...one zip. So that one zip...does it cover both pockets?
RDPproject 2 years ago
Yes - Two pockets and one zip that goes across both

Doesn't the pack feel heavy after a while because of the single strap instead of the weight being distributed between two straps?
888zzz 2 years ago
If you load it up too much it does feel a bit heavy - but the cross strap helps.
