How did u make this stuff with the models and all? How did you import your models into the world? How do you get your shadows to be dynamic on the trees?
the models are exported from MAX through COLLADA format which is read and binary files specific to the engine are created, the level was assembled in the NytroStudio level editor, I dont have shadows on the trees
this really is something. But why no hands on the guns? I think we need more animations. And maybe we can increase the field of view to make it mimic vision more? But one other question. How on Earth do you get a 3D world where an object with vertices moves and it looks like it's supposed to 3 Dimensionally? It just baffles me that we have that kind of computation at our hands with a GPU. Is it really just a bunch of math being done and the picture being determined by special matrix math?
dude thats AWESOME can i download it somewhere?!

1 Day test? You freaking did that in ONE DAY? SHIT! Imaging what you could do in 5 days, or 20.

Those graphics are so cute, I love that engine! :D Just needs better textures on some stuff. And hands on gun.

You programmed your own fps engine? Make a map editor and make it open source. IT WILL BE THE FUTURE OF GAMES! Looks like the source engine almost.
Evilhamster95 2 years ago
It's not just a FPS engine, it's a complete game development solution. And it already has a map editor, nytroStudio editor.
While for the open source thing, I don't think so. nekitu007 is working on this engine for years and he's too close to put it on the market.
Oh, and it's better than the Valve's Source Engine.

DUDE! Too much Bloom is NOT good. Players will eventually get tired of it and/or theire eyes will hurt. Bad thinking.
katcode 2 years ago
well, the scene is made in a hurry, no tweak, but you get outside in a bright sunny day, your eye will get hurt too :), if no glasses ..
nekitu007 2 years ago
No, Glasses will hurt you even more ;D
And even if the scene is made in a hurry there is simply no excuse to such a high bloom effect. It's really bad. but still it's looking awesome.

I like the bloom
MagnusRulerHardt 2 years ago
NO! Keep the bloom up!
SimonAJager 2 years ago
Make it optional, or make it gradually decrease when you're outside for a while.
Once you've been outside for a few minutes, your eyes adjust and the bloom is no longer realistic.

sure, I will have adaptive exposure

no hands because I didnt had the model, and yes, math, normal matrix operations, nothing special..

Nice nice! But bad:
-tree texture - where? ;)
-palma - use texture!
And then be realy very good!

yup, programmer's art :) I admit, soon more techdemos with nice models
nekitu007 3 years ago
bad graphics, but realistic

programmer's art :) sorry

just don't listen to em man they have no idea what is to make an object look as real as possible without using textures... they wouldn't know...

I can't wait for a full FPS created with the Nytro Game Engine. It's really realistic.
Oh, and I'm waiting for a video preview with more physics in it - from simple jumping to breakable glass, walls and stuff.
