  • "war on christmas"? your americans are so funny...

  • @zaurtrien The fake American people on TV are funny. Actual people are quite reasonable. Regardless of location.

  • @TheRagtagChicken of course im not saying all "americans" are dumb... but the fact that theres space for these "ideas" and that these shows and people have an audience, well, it doesnt speak good about the country in general

  • lol Hitchens was a nobhead

  • I like what he said from 8:50 onwards. That hit it spot on.

  • good old chris

  • 2 words to describe hitchens, spiritually handicaped.

  • @WarbladeX1 those words are synonymous with, "intellectually gifted"

  • Oh look, it's that twat who talks over everyone.

  • @IronHarper I meant at the beginning, not Hitchens. He's awesome lol.

  • @IronHarper I bet Hitch believes in God now, I wonder why he told God he denied him in front of so many...

  • @Jejune72 Why would he start believing in him now?

  • Hitchens was a pompous self important A**

  • @jimster46 Thank you for pointing out Hitchen's good points!

  • @brokennarcissist "Hitchens' death is the silver lining of cancer"; and you sir, are the dross of this world, and your malicious and purposefully offensive comment shows you to be naught but a relic of a hate-driven, ignorance embracing society that, thanks to great people like Hitchen, is slowly being left behind in the dust.

  • @samuelreay Typical secular humanist response, the drole moralism you take as duty to condescend to others, Hitchens was pseudo intellectual hack writer that relied on sensationalism of scapegoating otherness. If anyone deserves a slow painful death it's that sack of self indulgent asshole.

And don't prentend that he didn't make a career for himself saying worst than my initial comment. He was by trade a troll.

  • @brokennarcissist (cont... ) And yeah, there is a typo or two in that comment, point them out you douchebag.

  • One thing is for sure.Hitch knows what is after death now, just to state the obvious.I am a Christian.Although i recognize that i cannot scientifically prove christianity. Also i know that the idea there is nothing after death is not provable as well. You either believe or not. There is no way to win the argument on either side. It's a non-debatable issue.Every christian will tell you that it is a matter of faith.

  • @qynsar faith is good why lmao you fucking theist

  • @qynsar What do you think people do in court every business day all over the world? They prove stuff. There's tremendous historical evidence that supports the life, burial, crucifixtion and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If you don't want to go to law school and learn what evidence is try watching some William Lane Craig videos. I've been to the other side and back. I'm real, competent, and relevant, my testimony matters. You can't prove you're a Christian? You need to try harder.

  • Such a little toad.. Hahaha!! #1

  • Laboratorians & hucksters man the pharmacies. The comity of nations is jeopardized with expansion of the Anglo-American Empire.

  • DEAD

  • 2:25 'I don't know why I was so linent'. Thats what I liked at Hitchens. He didn't back down from a statement.

  • I am not an atheist, but I respect Hitchens intelligence and thought process. I am also not a typical christian. I believe in a higher power, but struggle to explain this faith to anyone, including myself. I have this overwhelming feeling that there is something more. Sad that the world has lost such a brilliant man. His kind are few and far between.

  • @craig79792000 You're one step away...I was once in your shoes as far as my struggle with faith. You sound like an intelligent person. Do some reading...continue your research and I have no doubt that one day you will consider yourself agnostic, and then eventually atheist...and there's nothing wrong with that. You will have been enlightened.

  • @craig79792000,

The way you express yourself indicates a sign of your willingness to think. And of course Hitchens wrote very well about subjects beyond atheism, particuarly on literature. And I would suggest that faith is a struggle, but one worth engaging in. Hitchens said that he spent much time talking to his religious friends and always found the experience rewarding.

  • Light comes from heat? Aren't they two independent forms energy?

  • @ezdeth Not really. Both are basically electro-magnetic radiation (it is more complicated than that). Both are caused by movement of microscopic particles. Look up black-body radiation, that explains a lot about that.

  • @ezdeth Thermal energy can transfer into light energy and vice versa.

  • one word can sum up Christopher Hitchens...LAME

  • @shizzleman8,you know for a fact Christopher Hitchens is in heaven, others have said he's in hell.Who is right.By the way ,he donated his body to science,Atheist to the very end,not very jewish was he.

  • He's sexy when he's angry.

  • MeZaccone that is true that in the former USSR-Soviet Union they did not wipe out religion, however it was the goal of the system to do this. The same in China. Mao wanted to wipe out all religion there&of course he never did This has been the goals of a communist societies even though it has&most likely in the future never will wipe out "all religion" The twentieth century has proved this fact.

  • A sentence should contain a subject, a verb and a predicate.

God is judically noticed. So the word 'God' is the subject, the word 'is' is the verb, and 'judically noticed' is the predicate. An adjective and an adverb.

  • @shizzleman8 A scientific theory should contain a testable hypothesis and supporting data. You have neither. Fuck off.

  • @maikeru48 Your world rises and sets on theory, mine on evidence.

maybe I was a little bit mean to a few folks, but I'm a Jew like Christopher Hitchens, and I know for a fact that he's still alive and in heaven. You don't like me, that's fine but verbal abusing people only reflects poorly on the one doing it. Peace.

  • @shizzleman8 Theories rise and set on evidence, and you've presented none. And Chris Hitchens wasn't a practicing Jew, he was an atheist. Again you lie. Again you troll.

  • @maikeru48 A hypothesis is not evidence. The law is set up different from scientific research. The first thing the scientist does is CHOOSES what to research or experiment, it's extremely subjective. All peer review and most science all falls along philosophical lines. A scientist who talks about what they believe is no longer conducting science, a point I've made now no less than 3 times just to you. We are family none-the-less. I love everyone especially my enemies.

  • @maikeru48 However, let us keep in mind that for instance psychoanalysis is very useful and various treatments against psychosis. And they are not meeting Poppers criteriums.

  • You're not in any kind of study even though I think you should be, but the fact that you're not in a study doesn't make you void of worth or value or even non-existent.

    You're wasting my time.

  • @shizzleman8 I'm asking you to source your claims. If that's a waste of your time, then stop wasting our time, and YouTube's bandwidth, with your bullshit assertions.

  • @maikeru48 The courts of the united states (that would be the judiciary) notice God.

    The "source" is the judiciary.

  • @shizzleman8 Courts interpret the law, they don't adjudicate philosophical questions or make philosophical pronouncements. Again, you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Cite a specific study with specific numbers, or shut the fuck up and piss off.

  • God is judically and legislatively noticed by all branches of the USA's government. That's fatally damning to all atheist's arguments. Prove to the Supreme Court of the USA that there is no God, no 'pre-life', no 'afterlife', then give me your opinion. I'll be waiting for the removal of the words, "In God We Trust" from USA currency. Hey, I bid you Godspeed, I mean GOOD LUCK!

  • @shizzleman8 The fact that a bunch of politicians throw the word "god" around in order to pander to low-information voters, and occasionally pollute our laws with it, is far from being any sort of a proof of your god's existence. That's just idiotic. Oh, and you should probably check out the constitution some time. It never mentions your god, and it specifically prohibits an establishment of religion.

  • Resurrection, and the 2nd coming. There are other authorities and points to be made also.

  • I'll stick with the "rational" experiences of those who testify over the "irrational" explanations of people who didn't experience anything and therefore are never called to testify.

    (??)

  • @shizzleman8 "I'll stick with the "rational" experiences of those who testify over the "irrational" explanations of people who didn't experience anything and therefore are never called to testify." TRANSLATION: "I'll cherry-pick the shit that supports my assertions and ignore the shit that doesn't." Typical fucking theist.

  • @maikeru48 You're cherry picking every word I use, but don't realize that's what's known as special pleading, holding one standard or burden of proof for yourself and another for a selp imposed opponent.

Do you think you're helping me see the light of the meaning of the term "cherry-picking" by saying that explanations are superior to experiences? Isn't that what you're saying? I know experience is king. Anyone can explain crap, that doesn't take skill or expertise, that'w why you're here

  • @shizzleman8 You're lying about what I'm saying, and you're engaging in sloppy sophistry. You are a waste of oxygen. And you're a troll.

  • @maikeru48 When your argument falls apart it's best to just take a walk and be nice. My Dad was more intelligent than I am my whole life, my sister earned her 4 year Bachelor's degree in 2 years with honors. Some people have more intelligence. It in now way makes a person better. I learned a long time ago that loving people, even if you think i'm doing a bad job of it, is better than anything else in this world. Most people adore me, it's because I loved them first. Try it and be right less

Jeffrey Long M.D. Evidence of the Afterlife; The Science of Near Death Experiences

I could present you with an algorithm that should correspond to the 600 million people worldwide since the phenomenon has been kept track of. I'm estimating it to be the mid 70's of last century.

  • @shizzleman8 LOL, do you even know what an algorithm is? This is you using words you don't understand again.

NDERF is not a scientific organization, it's an advocacy group that seeks out data that confirms its position and ignores or rejects contradicting data. That said, I'm asking you to cite a specific study supporting your assertions, and the methodology that was used to form its conclusions.

  • @shizzleman8 Wow... You love word-salad, don't you?

  • @FSAthe1st You only love the idea you have of yourself.

  • @shizzleman8 And here's the proof. When you have something intelligent, lucid, well thought out, and RELEVANT to the discussion at hand, then other people might listen.

Until then, we'll all just sit back and have a quiet chuckle at your attempt to sound smart with words you have no idea as to their meaning, while saying nothing at all.

  • @FSAthe1st Hey, thanks a million for the advice, let me give you an address where you can bill me. I feel lousy about myself @ 123 because I have no value in society St. I might as well not even own a computer and be on the internet, Antarctica

  • @shizzleman8 You consistent, self-righteous, verbal stream of diarrhoeal, mindlessly blathering on about the evidence for Christianity, is both tiresome and entirely refutable for any person of remote intellect. You also seem to be misconstruing evidence for the birth of (the real, historical) Jesus, as evidence for the mythological, "Son of God" Jesus and by extension Christianity, you should compare the two figures one day, historical and mythological, you might be unpleasantly surprised.

  • @samuelreay Find fault with my reason or premise, all your advertising is just self defecating.

  • @shizzleman8 I would show you the error in essentially everything you've said, but it appears they were so obvious that some of your comments have been removed. Perhaps if you could in short, succinct points recount them here for me, your "reasons for believing", and I shall oblige you.

  • @FSAthe1st How can you be sure I'm not the most intelligent person you'll ever meet in your lifetime, but I won't help you because you're an asshole?

  • Hitch is totally right.....his manners are always exemplary....the commentator was a jerk!!!

  • Hitchens had himself water-boarded to find out what a moment of the mildest form of NeoCon torture would feel like, and he didn't drown. He wasn't hooded, beaten to death, electrocuted, he had no fluorescent tubes inserted into his rectum, and his children (he didn't have any I hope) weren't massacred on a soccer field in Iraq by American teenagers.

But he had himself waterboarded, possibly to assuage the guilt he may have felt between drinks while cheerleading for the NeoCon wars.

  • @Bernadotte01 well he had it done because of bush's claim that it wasnt torture. And same as kissinger , hitchens has called for people who have done this to be brought to justice as war criminals

  • @dawtchins Given a choice between having (i) a fragile glass fluorescent tube inserted into your rectum, or (ii) an electical probe inserted into your rectum, or (iii) watching your daughter get raped and THEN shot in the face, or (iv) getting waterboarded, what would you choose?

If you had been a mouthpiece for the invasion, occupation and genocide in Iraq, what form of torture would you want the public to focus on if the truth ever came out? How would yo do "damage control"?

  • @Bernadotte01 Try reading some books about candle and soap making.

    Just a suggestion.

  • @Bernadotte01 I dont think george bush said any of them werent torture . It was specifically about bush saying water torture wasnt torture, it was helping those in guantinimo .And i dont think the country wanted their soldiers to do those things . They were done by sick fucks who should be , and hitchens wanted them to be called for war crimes, along with henry kissinger . When did hitchens ever advocate torture of iraqis? He just wanted to down a dictator of which those things already happened.

  • @dawtchins "When did hitchens ever advocate torture of iraqis?"

When he supported the war in the first place, knowing in advance how he U.S. military acts. It is that simple.

While Muslims were being exterminated by the U.S. military and tossed into mass graves like garbage, Dawkins was complaining that the Burkha looked like a "bin liner."

He had a special place on his forums for the tiny percentage of military terrorists who didn't believe in god. Google images: soldiers praying

  • @Bernadotte01 you fucking moron. Me and the people I share a uniform with never filled a mass grave with a single fucking body. Of the MILLIONS OF KURDS killed by sadam, and the hundreds of thousands more that were slaughtered and the rape houses we closed and the murderers and just general fucks that we killed has made the world a much better place. Hitches never advocated torture and neither does the majority of the military. I don't know anyone that would actually torture.

  • @radahad000 "A former inmate at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison forced by U.S. guards to masturbate in public and piled onto a pyramid of naked men said on Tuesday even Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein did not do such things." Reuters, Jan 11, 2005

28 percent of soldiers returning from Iraq reported slaughtering at least one civilian (dept. of veteran affairs). Have a nice day.

    v=KVTz81tZPvk

  • @Bernadotte01 obviously you don't know the difference between humiliation and physical and psychological torture, which i'd say 99.5% of us are against both of.

Second, until you show me at least a report, and not some tripped up 4 view video with those "slaughtering civilian" stats- you can take your unsubstantiated numbers and shove them up your ass where they belong. I acually work with the people who have "filled mass graves" according to you. Who's the credible source here?

  • @radahad000

A Brief Primer on the Mental Health Impact of the Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq

    Dept. of Veteran Affairs

    by Brett T Litz.

    April 2005

"of soldiers deployed to Iraq ... 28% reported being responsible for the death of a noncombatant."

    =====

Look it up on the webarchive.

Did you kill? Did you take a life? Do you follow orders?

  • @Bernadotte01 well, look at that. you already changed the meaning of the words and now that you're forced to anti up a report you've got to go more, but not completly legit. You know what causes the death of a noncombatant? Not being there in time, not properly identifying someone, being given incorrect intellgence, having to shoot to stop a threat and missing, using explosives, taking out targets with missiles. None of these "fill mass graves" like you claimed. You're too hyped up

  • @bernadotte01 On top of all that, in 10 years less civilians have died than in 1 year of previous rule. and not a single "rape house" has been opened up by the US military. Again, some shit face like yourself talking about what he doesn't know.

First "28 percent of soldiers returning from Iraq reported slaughtering at least one civilian" and now "responsible for death" Don't even have to pull a trigger to feel that. A drunk friend accidently killing himself could do that. read it.

  • @Bernadotte01 "Hitchens had himself water-boarded . . ."

and proclaimed it to be torture.

    Jackass.

  • @Bernadotte01 I think you're being just a little unfair. Hitchens agreed with the war in Iraq only inasmuch as it helped give a little more freedom and democracy to the region, and prevented the much more widespread torture and execution brought about by Saddam Hussein on peoples like the Kurds and the Marsh Arabs. The reason he went to be waterboarded was so he could discover whether it was torture, and in the end he condemned the practice fully. It wasn't about guilt, it was about truth.

  • Hitchens was drunk as usual .

  • The former USSR-Soviet Union1917-1992 was a super-power, major food producer, super rich in natural resources, biggest military, nuclear weapons, space program, industrialized population was "LITERATE" Also they were gung-ho on wiping out all religion in their vast territory of 8.6 million square miles plus world-wide Iam a baby-boomer&for 30 years I kept up with news on the Soviet Union Bibles use to be smuggled there Caught with Bible there=time usually years in the gulag in harsh Siberia.FYI.

  • @RonSafreed Correction. They didn't wipe out religion. They just replaced it with a religious adherence to bankrupt philosophical principles and made religious icons of their leaders. This doesn't describe atheism, it describes playing god and there is a VAST difference. Dogma is dogma, it doesn't matter that form it takes.

  • In the former USSR1917-92 atheism/evolution was taught daycare-university The Bible was banned&it was illegal to teach it to kids Within months of the fall of the USSRin 92 the Bible was put back in Russian schools Olga Lutsenko an atheist was the main one behind it Death threats made her leave to Canada in 96&she is a Christian now BTWshe is on youtube&I support her work financially putting Bibles in Russian&Ukranian schools The Bible 75 years absent in Russian schools back now 20 years Amazing

  • Telling a troll to fuck off isn't trolling < Reification.

  • My mum's friend's mum died of cancer and right after was told by a Christian "She must've done something terrible in the past life" sums up religion for me.

  • @IrritationCharles Not disagreeing with you're point. Theists, generally speaking, suck. But what christian says "past life" the're pretty anti-reincarnation.

  • @IrritationCharles Ummm thats sad about your mum's friend. But I think Christians don't believe in reincarnation I think that's Hinduism..

  • @IrritationCharles I'd have to keep myself from backfisting that Christian. >:(

  • @IrritationCharles No 'Christian' would ever say someone did something terrirble in their past life the reason they died of cancer or some other ailment. This is the first life there is; there was no premilinary life. Stop hiding behind all sort of ludicrous assertions. I guess both you and the Christian that gave you such an answer need help.

  • @73geneva : Resolve your familial problems while there's time.

  • @ThePregnancySlaves I did that 6 yrs ago, but you could do with same. Like your username; don't be a SLAVE to falsehood. Be smart.

  • @73geneva Where's your evidence that proves "there was no preliminary life"?

Are you suggesting that no evidence exists for it? I've never heard any grounds to believe what you're saying is true. I've watched movies, seen programs and read articles about real life events that prove we did exist before we came here. Evidence, madam, evidence.

  • @shizzleman8 Evidence for what? Someone said they were told they'd been alive before, then died and lived again and I said i's false, that there isn't any other prior life to this. What in the world are you talking about? Now don't tell me you believe you'd been alive b4 now.

  • @73geneva Points and authorities: The legal and factual basis for an argument in a lawsuit. A party who wants the judge to rule a particular way on a motion often must submit a memorandum of points and authorities, in which the party argues that the facts, statutes, and relevant precedents support that party's position.

All you got is what you're saying! Does saying "I have a million in cash" make it so? That's why you should always support your statements or say, "this is my opinion". & YES

  • @shizzleman8 Honestly, I don't have the slightest idea of what you're talking about. I asked you a simple question and instead of a simple answer you delve into this labyrinth of legal mumbo jumbo. Anyway, you're free to believe whatever you want; life is a choic. But next time when someone asks you a question just answer simply. Don't try to impress them by making incongruous remarks.

  • @73geneva You're sayint that there is no life before this one, right? I'm saying you're just saying that. All the evidence that exists about this thought of yours proves otherwise. I'm sorry if legal definitions are confusing. When people argue here and write stuff it usually doesn't come with supporting case authorities. There's a line of causality that ends with the physical for naturalists. That's a foolish concept. How does nature explain itself? It can't, it DOESN'T. Peace.

  • @IrritationCharles that deserves a face palm

  • @kpb1337 I think it probably deserves two :P

  • @IrritationCharles what a fucking cunt of a person.

  • Hitch will live on in my memory...

  • @lillobo1 He's "living on" is he? So 'Hitch' enjoyed preaching about the afterlife? What a SWELL guy he was.

  • In law and in religion, testimony is a solemn attestation as to the truth of a matter. All testimonies should be well thought out and truthful. - wiki

  • "I am like God and God like me. I am as large as God. He is as small as I. He cannot stand above me nor I beneath him." - Angelus Silesius

  • @SamusX10 I'm not a teenager, nor am I North American. And I said 'what about the chapter 'women'' primarily because I am not ignorant and was providing evidence that the Qu'ran is explicitly sexist.

It's not that surprising. Cinderella is also explicitly sexist and so is the Bible. Everything used to be sexist. Books about morality from over a thousand years ago tend to not have our modern-day progressive values.

  • Scientists & professors are overwhelmingly irreligious and college graduates are disproportionately so, yet are a persecuted minority. Society should be more grateful.

  • @manonthemount Everyone 'professes' their faith. That's the very definition of testimony. We testify to our experience. What we believe we saw, felt, and touched, handled with our own hands. Scientists who claim to be athiests simultaneously claim they're not scientists.

Irreligion, apatheism, atheism, and anti-theism are all positions that deny all types of evidence a priori.

  • I love Hitchens.

  • @sheltondk43 You love rotting decaying scum? Hmm? Tell me more?

  • @shizzleman8 woah...thats not nice the guy died....

  • @lumpfish99 He's only dead to you and people who don't understand that the causal chain of the laws of nature run through the meta-physical and then to God.

    Semper Ibi

  • @shizzleman8 you know.....your mom,cockboy

  • @vangerwen79 See what I wrote to lump fish below. I know Hitchens is alive and in heaven. I've witnessed my soul outside of my body. Our minds are finite, not so much when we leave our body, but limited to all of our experience and knowledge, our identity while out of our bodies. Everything Christopher stood for in life can't be recognized now that he's no longer in his body because his doctrine counteracts it. The FACT is that he ISN'T wormfood. Just watch my friend's video at my channel.

  • @shizzleman8

    Nonsense....Hitchens is gone....it's that simple.

  • Comment removed

  • @kshackleton

Nope... Hitchens lives on in a certain Heaven called memory... Where he will live on for decades or millenia.

  • "Wife, bitch, Mayor, whore..."

How dare the Mormon church use Christopher Hitchens to sell their piece of shit cult.

Maybe, hopefully, they can become atheists.

  • @Capt777harris No atheist colleges HENCE no football teams. Atheists could become anything else including dead like Christopher Hitchens here and nobody much cares, nothing stops being produced. You remove us and all you parasites die.

  • @shizzleman8 No, remove Mormons, and all the religious scum of the Earth will take notice, shut the fuck up, and fly right, instead of being the scum bastards that they are.

  • @Capt777harris All atheists do is reject god(s). Nothing's being produced.

Show me legal argumentation for your position instead of your rant.

  • GO HITCH! KEEPS KICKING FUCKHEADS IN THE BALLS EVEN AFTER DEATH!

  • I suppose for the sake of argument we could trace language all the way back to cave man days where all communication among homo-sapiens could be reduced to a series of grunts and clicks.

    Ooh, Ooh, Tchick

  • Wow Hitchens is a douche bag it has nothing to do with religion he is just a fucking asshole

  • Hitch was so proud of the matchbox joke that he had to bring it up when he saw that it wasn't featured!

    Fucking classic!

  • To argue means to present a case in a straight forward and honest manner using reason and facts, what most people here do is badger.

  • Here's the dividing point (reductionism) Causal Closure from wiki, definition.

Causal closure has two main formulations - a weak and a strong form. The weak form states: "No physical event has a cause outside the physical domain." - Jaegwon Kim. [1] Whilst the stronger version of the theory holds that all physical effects can be ultimately reduced to physical causes, thus allowing for mental causation so long as it is in turn reducible to a physical cause.

    Are U a naturalist? < Causal C.

  • good to know this fat heeb croaked...one less yid 2 stuff on to our new cattle cars...YEAH

  • 2:55 LOL. Love it.

  • What conservatives forget is that Hitchens' views on religion were the same as Ayn Rand's, who said she was against god, thought religious people were weak minded and Jesus was immoral. The wallace interview is on youtube.

  • cusack your a dumb mother fkr, and this guy is a complete idiot, he just talks over people and then changes the subject or get the audience to laugh to make him seem better and right, hes a cocky prick.

  • More like a metaphor or an analogy, maybe even a parable, not a fairy's tail.

  • Really going to miss Hitchens..

  • glad this fat jew kicked it...lets feed his bloated body 2 the pigs...SIEG HEIL

  • I like the part where he DOESN'T GET FURIOUS

  • Athiests are smart. We dont belive in freaking farytales written by men who couldent take a shit in a normal toilet. We belive in science and evidence , knowledge and fact. So who's smarter. Infact religious people in my oppinion are less evolved species of humans who nead little make belife trinkets to allow them to sleap at night

  • @MiloMatrataMusic You make spelling mistakes so often that it seems intentional.

Atheists are not smart by default. I'd go as far to say that a large amount of atheists aren't very intelligent at all, not because they are atheist, but because most people aren't all that smart. No not a group of people all people. The only thing that is evolving and growing at a noticeable rate is technology. Technology that one day, will likely be the end of us.

  • @MiloMatrataMusic Smart people know that vouching for their own intelligence isn't any kind of evidence. Aristotle's Prime Mover is worthless because it's not a modern argument? He at least used logic syllogism. Examining his potty activity never even crossed my mind when trying to understand his. How can physical causality explain itself? < That's the Kalam Cosmological argument, the REASON why Dawkins will never debate Craig. Peace Friend.

  • TED KENNEDY WAS BEHIND THE CRIMINALIZING OF LAETRILE: the cure, preventative & treatment for the chronic metabolic disease known as cancer. He's maggot-meat now. Let us support tax-funded abortions upon all Kennedys.

  • @dfdtdfdx That's a false analogy based on a fundamental misunderstanding of religion, secularism, and atheism. Religion just so happens to encroach upon our abilities to "eat, sleep, fuck, die, have family, marry, divorce, breath", as you so crudely put it, and perhaps more importantly, on our abilities to think, to learn, and to grow and develop intellectually and emotionally. I don't think that my atheism makes me a better person, but rather the choices and perspective that facilitate it, do.

  • How many else hold this clip as their favorite Hitchens compilation? :)

  • 2:52 really made me laugh

  • Tell me this atheists, if there is no God, then simply explain to me how the language came to be. If these first people you call cave men and what not, how could they survive long enough to create a language and pass it on to their children. God Bless.

  • @ForeignRelationsSP By that token, any animal other than human beings should not be able to communicate with each other, tell me, how do any of these animals survive. We know that this is not the case, birds sing to each other, monkeys communicate with gestures and body language, dolphins whistle to each other across many miles and there are even some plants which send chemical signals to each other under certain circumstances.

  • @AmbivalentDreams Well I for one know, but you would not because you cannot explain the origin of the genetic code in DNA which tells and animal (and us) how to function. Also, animals communicate because God made them that way. Its actually quite simple if you are willing to listen.

  • @ForeignRelationsSP If you are willing to listen without questioning, then you are quite simple

  • @ForeignRelationsSP This would normally enrage me, however the more comments I read from the 'saved' masses the more I realise that it is nigh on impossible to reason with stupidity.

  • @neildamo You are definitely right, I cannot reason with stupidity.

  • @ForeignRelationsSP you are funny

  • @ForeignRelationsSP You're kidding right? There's more to life than just the bible. And if you're not ready to look any further, read it critically.

  • @Floortjahh I didn't mention the Bible, but yes you are right, there is more to life, doing with it says and spreading it is the rest of life.

  • @ForeignRelationsSP I lol'd

    7/10 trolling

  • Ignorant drunk people with little intelligence listen to hitchens.....listen to Ben Carson you morons, a truly inspirational highly educated individual that made a positive change in the world.

  • @sammyjs1983 Hitchens had more intelligence in his little finger than you do. In fact, in his present form I'd still say he has more intelligence than you do. Ben Carson is a 7th Day Adventist so he's a mega-moron...
