our school districts ag show grand steer made 26000 and houstons livestock show grand steer made like 250000

i got $1.70 per pound for my steer (he weighed 900lbs)

i got 5,000 for my steers two years in a row i didnt even get grand champion.

After all the work that goes into showing steers at that level, 10,000 isn't verry much. Ky state fair brought I think 25000 in 2008.

The market has been a tad ugly here. There weren't many buyers that year for state. We also don't get anywhere near the money you get for auctions like the Midwest.
