warhammer 40K was around long before starcraft. The Tyranids were one of the first 4 races. Zerg are copied from Tyranids

And by the way it's not a "Board Game" Per say but a Table-top RTS I was talking about how the Warhammer40K Dawn of War 2 base idea of about how to design the Tyranids in the VIDEOGAME must have been wrapped around the idea of the Zerg from Starcraft . So sorry for the misunderstanding, but I wasn't in any way talking about the table-top version of the game.
