Sufjan is the only american I can think of that could sing this song with as much integrity as any Canadian. He searches for the integrity in everything he does and that genuine character really comes through when he sings this. Thanks for putting this up. You've made my day!

It's quite a malleable defnition and the word is thrown around a lot so maybe it has lost some of its original meaning but that's how language works. It's constantly changing and molding. @randwan I'm not sure if this is true or not, but it (at least the first half of it from 4:28-4:40) sounds a lot like 'The Owl and the Tanager' from his 2010 EP album. The second half of it sounds like something from his BQE album, but that's probably stretching it.
