well done m8 good job,i just bought an emx a week ago and still scratching my head not knowing what to do..you look like youre picking up good m8 carry on !!
thank you buzzdog. i checked out your channel and i like your midnight mix video. good stuff! the emx is a powerful machine. since its a synth based groove box, it requires much programming to make music with it and if you're not familiar with synthesis it can be very confusing. the emx puts out excellent sounds. only problem is the synth parts are monophonic which seriously limits the device. join my boards on mastermarcell, com i can answer questions and ill put downloadable samples up soon.
how long did it take for u to get coordinated and start smashin tunes out? ive only been on it for a day or two seems like theres infinate possibilities!
took about 5mins and 2 takes. the first take the auto off feature of the camera got me LoL. the ESX is a good machine. printed the manual so next time ill know exactly what the machine can do. my complaints so far are the smartmedia standard, effects, polyphony. dont know if its me or a ESX/EMX issue but i have a lot of noise coming from the outputs. if you have a myspace, add me. soon ill upload some sounds for the ESX. EMX might sound better than the ESX but you're limited.. -shujincell
Well youve done well there mate. i havent got a myspace profile but ill look out for you. as i said keep up the great work hope to hear more from you :)
thank you. seems like people like the EMX alot more. i havent encountered a polyphony issue yet. something ill have to check out. i think the ESX needs more FX buses. smartmedia standard is bogus. between resampling and assignable outs, you can get around the lack of buses though. i need more EQ for parts, each part should have dedicated multi-band EQ instead of band filters. its a very cool device. cooler than mpc1K if you ask me. keep ESX'n! yup, synEP rulez! i might get ESX. -shujincell
opps i meant EMX... i might get the EMX series once the price comes down. i think its the exact same thing as the R3, RADIAS, & microkorg except it dosent have a vocoder.i think it has some potential. -shujincell
nice to know. korg has to many synths that are similar. its funny cause the same day you posted this i figured out what you were talking about. yea it does need more polyphony. -shujincell
yeah ive got one, fucking love it haha, & nah theres 2 keyboard parts with one voice each, but yeah you can resample that and layer it on top of more keyboard parts if you want, takes up enough memory though =/ still suprising how much you can do with such little polyphony tbh.
Wow!!! This is a really original/nice beat. I love the change up's as it feels that nothing is stale or recycled. It's very enjoyable to listen to because of all of the tempo change up's. Awesome man, I'd love to hear more, maybe write a stepfile to it haha, I promise I won't butcher it lol.

yeah true say. the polyphony is the only downside, single voice for each part..... but oh well.
& yeah i'd love to get the radias =] its alot like the emx with the sequencing, but with alot more synth capability.

Fieldy...The awesome resampling capabilities more than make up for the lack of polyphony!
16 notes, is still decent though.
