@TheLastOfTheCarmines the fourth carmine is the youngest and named douglaus or 'doug' he was in the comic books, he didnt wear armour as he was a comms officer like anya before she became a soldier. He died in the comic books and this is also proved in gears of war 2 as there is a file on him in one of the poster pick-ups, it is just a soldier file and it says KIA on it so Clay is the last Carmine :'(

they should have made his fate a moral choice in the game, saving him is slower and difficult. he begs and pleads with you to leave him for honor reasons. if you say yes, marcus explains that we need every gear in the fight. if you leave him, take his tags, tell him that he was a good soldier, and leave your shotgun behind. saving him would mean he was over your shoulder, meaning pistol only.
