  • How 'bout Mr. Leroy Bach on this song!

  • the clap challenged dude at 0:10-0:15 lol and the dude realizing hes getting caught smoking weed on video at 0:16-0:19 XD

  • Why can't we all just listen to the music and beautiful poetry?

  • Why can't we all just listen to the music and beautiful poetry?

  • tbzeee, WTF are you talking about that "agenda" is a word conservatives use? Tweedy rocks. Just leave it at that instead of trash talking "conservatives," many of whom are WILCO fans.

  • you're right. the people who run this country want us to choose sides like "liberal" and "conservative" to divide us instead of uniting us. i should have said: "agenda" is a word POLITICIANS use. because they do, and it still means nothing.

  • prefers this version to the Loose Fur track.

    .

  • this guy (tweedy) has a special talent

  • jeff tweedy has an agenda? another word conservatives use that means absolutely nothing. the liberal agenda, the homosexual agenda...crap. tweedy's an entertainer & he'll be the first to tell you that. does dylan have an agenda? neil young? leonard cohen? bruce springsteen?

  • @tbzeee

    brilliantly said.

  • It's not a Loose Fur song. It was officially released on "Loose Fur," yes. It was written before that album by Jeff, and it was supposed to go on Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. There are several demos of Wilco playing a different version of the song from that period.

Loose Fur wrote this arrangement, but the song existed with Jeff/Wilco before Loose Fur.

  • I would hope he wrote the song before the Loose Fur album came out, because if he wrote it after, that would be quite the trick...

  • Tweedy wrote this amazing song and he can play it whenever he wants to do so.

My favorite version is on the "Sunken Treasure DVD" with Jeff and Glenn.

  • This isn't a Wilco song. its by Loose Fur, which was Jeff, Glen, and Jim O'Rourke.

Google it, their album "Born in he USA" is better than anything Tweedy wrote with Wilco.

  • You are correct, it is a Loose Fur song, but it is Wilco in the video.

  • it was orginially a demo for yankee hotel foxtrot called "not for the season"

  • @standenup

sorry, i stole your thunder a bit. didn't see your post until i scrolled down.

  • @jbledsoe86

Actually, it's a b side from the Wilco album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot called Not for the Season.

  • "Born Again in the USA" is not as good as Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Nor Being There. Nor Summerteeth. Laminated Cat is a standout and would have been one the best on YHF, but the rest of the album pales in comparison.

  • Laminated Cat is on Loose Fur's first album, not Born Again in the USA.

  • Allison Miller, she plays with Ani Difranco

  • incredible song, one of their greatest bsides. it had so much live potential.

  • yeah, anyone know who that is??

  • who's the kid playing the shaker?
