I don't care what people say. I grew up with this film and, while I'm going on thirty now, I still love it. Yes, I've read the books, and I still find this film a lot of fun. Hearing this songs bring me back to my childhood when I thought that just one kid could accomplish anything and reinforces the belief that exists to this day that some kids are wiser than some adults.

Wow, this brings back so many memories, haha! When I was like 4-6 yrs old I would watch this EVERY day... over and over again. I loved pippi. That free-spirited little nutcase gave me confidence as a child. I'm 23 now and I still catch myself humming this song in the shower sometimes.. LOL!

Classic movie that was filmed in my hometown of Fernandina Beach, FL. The movie was filmed in our historic district downtown that's about as old as St. Augustine. The boarding school that Pippi went to was my old preschool. They had to shut my preschool down to film the movie in the late 80s.

The house Pippi lives in is still standing today. I go by the cliff where it sits when I go fishing.

Omg this brings back so many memories, I haven't seen this in so long....you may want to try ebay. You can easily get it brand new on dvd for less than $10. Many of them are Buy It Now, so you don't have to wait a few days for an auction to end. I hope that helps ya!

wow...I'm almost 30 yrs old and I remember watching this as a kid. Pippi Longstocking is so underrated, I think it should be re-introduced into today's modern day society. Children today would love this as much as we enjoyed it as kids.
