He plays beautifully, and now that I have seen this, I will purchase his Bach recordings. All of them. This is interpretations delights me tremendously.
Way too fast in my opinion... if this is the Allemande then the Courante has to be played Presto, which is kind of nonsense. Sound quality and voicing on the other hand is very good - this guy knows what he is doing in that department.
measures 11, 21 and 23 are NOT what is written in bach's manuscript. one can certainly do this or that embellishment but to CHANGE the score is an intrusion. and it doesn't sound better, is rude.
at first i thought this tempo was a little too fast but when played this tempo is perfect! I love the attention paid to producing a beautiful, stately and lyrical melody. I didn't like the some of the ornaments in the first part of the Allemande (up to first repeat bar) but arrivals at different cadences were very clearly pronounced giving a great feeling of direction. I loved the singing bass lines in the second part! Overall a top-notch interpretation of a baroque gem!
You definitely have a very distinct way of playing the allemande and I actually do quite prefer your almost "crisper" version of the song compared to some of the other renditions of this on youtube. I dont quite like some of the small editions and ornaments that change when you do the repeats but thts just artistic preference. Very good nevertheless.

At first I thought his tempo was a little fast, but he makes it quite compelling.

What happened to the Gavotte, Courante and Bourees I & II. I saw the video you posted also with the very nicely done Sarabande, etc. --Thanks.

Anderszewski ma perełkowe momenty w tej grze,
ale zbytnio przebiega Bacha... Nie ma w brzmieniu jego muzyki miejsca na kontemplację,
która tkwi w głębi muzyki Bacha...
