Springsteen released this in 1973, Manfred Mann rerecorded it in 1976. This song uses the Manfred Mann version of the lyrics.

Anywhere I looked, I could clearly find this out just by looking at the release dates. Everybody thinks Springsteen stole it because his version didn't even make the charts, while Manfred Mann's version hit #1. Why don't you people read a little before opening your mouths...
