I moved to Calgary two years ago but when I lived in Toronto for 7 years I sadly went to many of these. The amazing thing is the first one I went to there was 3 other people on the overpass with me, the last one that I went to was no where to stand and people were standing down on the sides of the ramps. This makes me proud to be Canadian and I thank every person who continues to go and show their respects for those of us who can't. Thank you for making this video.
They are brave men and woman, The least i can do is take some time to go down to one of the many over passes in Oshawa and pay my respects to them and their families.
I know we americans give like to joke around with Canada by calling you America's Hat or the only American State that prints its own money. However, if I were not an American and had to pick another country to reside in it would be Canada. If you look at the rest of the world and countries and the history they've had with their neighbors. We Americans and the Canadians have been lucky to have such great neighbors.
This is a very well done mini-documentary video expressing many Canadians' appreciation of our armed forces. It brought tears to my eyes, and pride to my heart that Canadians are able to show such appreciation for our troops abroad. Thank you for putting this together for us all to watch.
whats this song called? and by who? it's absolutely beautiful. I'm going there tomorrow for the 3 that just died they were friends of my brother who is currently in Afghanistan.
The emotion just from the video hits hard. I can't even imagine what it feels to be there. It's the kind of thing you wish you go to but hope that it never needs to happen.
Thank you to all have the courage to come and support the troops and their families. You have no ide how much it is appreciated. I served for 21 years and my son joined on Nov 10/08. THANK YOU!
Great video. As a member of the CF I'd like to send out a heartfelt thank-you to every single one of you who have stood on the Highway of Heroes. We recently lost 3 more soldiers and it disgusted me to see the comments posted on the cbc website by some people. Even if you don't support the mission in Afghanistan, those who have died in combat (and their families) deserve better than to be disrespected because of a difference of opinion.
This video should in fact be viewed by all Canadians. You did an amazing job friend. Not even sure how I got here but man, you stirred emotions inside of me that I haven't felt in a long time. To our troops and their families. I don't think a thank you on a youtube vid will justify what we owe you for your sacrifices but it's all I have. Thank you.God bless you all!
Don't be sad NightShadowTN, start a movement mate, that's how it started here in Canada. You never know what might come of it till you try. God Bless.
As a Canadian married to a Brit I am very ashamed of the way the Brits are given home comings and agree 100% we need to stand up and show ALL our men (Canadain, American, British, Ect.) should be given the home coming and respect all together that they deserve! Stand tall and proud cause we are all listening
Great video. It's good to get the perspective of the people who take the time to show their respect for the soldiers. All Canadians should be proud and grateful to the men and women who serve in the CF.
Unfortunately having escorted one of my best friends home on the Highway of Hero's I can say that the show of support for the family and friends was amazing. For you folks that do take the time, words cannot say how much it is appreciated.
TY for showing this. Great video. Touching. Im start my BMQ in 2 weeks. Always good to see that people follow the troop and believe in the one that chose to serve their country

From someone who goes to the bridges (I guess I should have been calling them overpasses), thank you for making this video.
When I do go, I feel I am there for all Canadians, who are too far away to go themselves.

Makes me proud to be Canadian, and proud to be a Canadian Soldier. May they not die in vein, and may they rest peacefully for eternity.
Support the troops risking thier lives to help the Afghan people to their feet to fight the tyranny that is the taliban.
To my brothers and sisters in arms, good luck and stay safe!
