I used the male version of my birth name...shortened baically. So male version is Andrew, and I went with Dre. This is a nick name people have always called me, so it was easy for me. I changed my name way before I even considered myself being genderqueer male identified. You will know when you've got the right name though, it will resonate like a bell
so far i have changed my name twice and im still undecided on my name. i went from my birth name to zachary to joshua but feel like i havent found the name that fits me yet. I am changing my birth name over the summer so its starting to get critical that i decide.
Changing my name wasn't really all that hard. I went and googled the male version of my birth name (Emma) and it came up with Emmett, which I really liked and turned out to be really good for family and friends who still weren't completely comfortable with my coming out cause they could just call me Em. You can try that or simply stick with Chris despite your last name cause really if you think about it when does anyone really say both your first and last name...ever?
I chose the name Cameron because it is somewhat close to my birth name and also I have always liked the name Cameron. My middle name I am still juggling with. I have changed my middle name like three times already.
