I completely agree. The relatively empty, cumbersome, staccato-like intro eventually finds itself in the midst of a powerfully emotional climax, releasing into a gorgeous, singing guitar chorus. The absolution of inner turmoil into ecstatic release...touches the soul, it really does. Quite a journey for something less than eight minutes long.
I remember my first time experiencing tool live. It was truly amazing because for 2 and a half straight hours, I was connected and moved by their performance. I didn't have to jump around and act all crazy to have a significant time.. I know it might sound silly to close minded people, but it really was life changing for me.

@270cheese I said "seem" only because I have not experienced their awesomeness in live concert myself, only seen some kick-ass epic videos of their live shows. Thus they do seem to me, and if they came to Finland and I saw them live, my mind would be blown away by their aura of pure awesome.

@Zitroneengel But you can't think that way. I mean you can, but you shouldn't...Linkin Park inspired me to pick up a guitar...I then moved on to Tool and both have been such a great influence on me. Sure their music isn't as complex as Tool's, but Linkin Park still has some really good fuckin music. Tool is probably my favorite, but Linkin Park is right behind so no, I don't think it is a disgrace to human race.
