eheh I cut that part, I mean the knife, and tried to make it seem only a kiss for the purpose of the video. There is nothing of slashy in the film at all, we all know, but the obsession of Commodus for Maximus is there, even if in different ways, and Commodus is a pervert, so slash aside, I tried to keep them in character as much as possible.

Never seen Gladiator slash before but read a few Life On Mars slash stories and find the whole thing hillarious! :D I'm not mocking, I know a few people who do similar things and I think this is great. Yeah, this song really translated surprisingly well to a rock song and it does work well with the 'story'. I never heard of "slash" but I didn't mean you in particular, it's funny a lot of fans of the actors have a kind of homoerotic thing about the two of them together. Which is funny, and it certainly doesn't bother me, I just didn't know why they like these two characters in particular, but your explanation makes sense. Thanks.

You're very welcome! :) I thought you didn't mean me in particular that is why I described this genre. I can only speak for me but in general I think people like to create these things because imagination can run freely. In videos it's fun to recreate stories with only few material available to edit and try to make it seem as if was happening. I had never used these two before, but having the DVD I thought "Why not?" ;)

It's not a fixation, slash is a genre of fan-fiction but also of fan videos , with pairs of the same gender. I actually like the genre, I find it funny and interesting, but it's not a fixation :) Not all people like it, it's normal, that is why I put the word "slash" in titles, descriptions and tags.
