  • The engine is missing when idling

  • This dude is a DA.

  • When did ferrari start putting airbags in the cars? also how dangerous is this thing?

  • @pleeeeep Ferrari started putting airbags in their cars with the 355. In addition, this is also when they introduced the F-1 system (on the F-355).

  • Do you like CRAZY old Ferrari GTO movies ?

    Youtube : niuqcam

  • This guy has no idea about Ferrari. What a dipshit

  • Great car, lots of fun. Downside is the heat inside the car, especially black interiors. A/C won't help.

  • I like it in white it looks clean. But, I like the ferrari 328 gts better cause their faster. The 308 top speed is 152mph and the 328 top speed is 163mph.

  • I didn't know AARP did car test videos. What a dull "test" of a superb performance car.

Actually if AARP had done it, they probably would have gotten the facts straight. These guys know nothing about this 328 or the 308 it replaced.

  • nice couple of Bentleys on the left

  • Jeez rev the thing a little would ya??? It's got a redline of about 8 k for a reason. Sounds like they never got over 5k.

    A 348 is a "baby testarossa"???? What a nitwit.

  • beautiful looking car,but it just doesn't sound like a v8 engine should,what a shame

  • I prefer the 308 body style and front end better. Also the cool door hatch is missing on the 328's. The 328 may have had better mechanics, but there is just something a little more raw with the 308's. Mine is a 308 Qv btw.

  • old sh1t

  • I'd like to see Morgan in another type of video. :-x

  • Yellow means go fast......... 1:10

  • @NMBR1FERRARIFAN ABS Breaks my friend; you should get your hearing checked!

  • Who listens to red lights these days lol

  • As for the misfire issue, I was concerned shortly after I bought mine and what actually happens is because the engine is mounted in a transverse direction, the exhaust headers for the front and rear banks are unequal in length. This causes a "popping" sound heard at idle. The engine can be in perfect tune and it still happens. Just the design...but a flaw? I guess it depends on personal preference/taste in cars. If you favor one car over another you've already made the right choice.

  • I too used to own one and also had the rare opportunity of working in a service station under the guidance of one of the best, if not the best italian car mechanics in Washington state. Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini. Good times. Very good times.

Quite true on his screw up that the 328 moved away from fiberglass. Only a handful of 308's were produced at the start of production. By 1978 that ended because owners did not want a "plastic" Ferrari so goes the rumor.

  • No run to redline? whats the point then? lame!

  • @Kingsoupturbo No rev limiters. Gotta be careful =P

  • @DDDewd I didn't know that! makes more sense now )

  • it dont matter how good or bad the car is its still a ferrari. They have come a long way now look at the 458 it is a pure work of craftman ship. Yea you got the vayron or ss areo but it dont compare to ferrari becouse of the racing history.

  • missfire?

    doesnt sound special.

  • sounds like the car has a HUGE misfire at idle...

  • This thing is a piece of crap... They break down left and right. The maintenance is outrageously expensive and they have a major tendency to catch on fire. The engine will overheat when sitting in traffic and before you know it, you've got an engine bursting into flames and the whole car burning out of control in about 30 seconds.

If you gave me one of these, I would sell it on eBay to some sucker who doesn't know what he's getting into.

  • @matt888444

oh you have one of these ,kid? That's funny because the 328 is one of the most reliable Ferraris.

  • @matt888444 i own one, if any of this was true i wouldn't have bought it. it's one of the cheapest, most reliable ferraris you can buy.

  • @augnkn93043

my brother owns one, why do they sound like a 4 cylinder?

does it fire 2 cylinders at once?

  • @matt888444

That is probably true. You see in the 80's there was the "yuppie-era" and many of them bought Porsches and Ferrari's. When it turned out that those that owned the Porsches almost never had problems with their cars and they could be abused and raced and still be driven to and from the office, whereas practically the opposite applied for the Ferrari's, most sold them and bought a 911.

Here we called the 911 the "Yuppie-moped".

Indeed 328 owners drive them on weekends only.

  • wow only 7400 were produced, i just saw one yesterday, never seen one before, the thing sat so damn low, looked like awkward seating too

  • 328 ( i have one 1989 with abs and u/g suspension ) steel chassis, steel panels, fiberglass inner wheel arches, floor, and targa top.aluminium bonnet and engine cover. basically much less steel than you would find on a normal car. since 1984(?) partially galvanized steel and electro-paint (forget the proper name) so not much rust. fantastic car. coolest ferrari under $1m.

  • u are worthless :)

  • still sounds horrible though for a flat plane crank,

the 308 that sounds the best is the GT-4,

It looks the best and its the most affordable,

AND,,, it dont have the cruddy sounding smog exhaust of the later cars, the only alloy panels of the 308 bodies were the hood trunk and door;s,as on the BBs daytona, Dino's,

  • The 308s look better except for interior.

  • Only early 308s are fiberglass. Most 308s are steel. Also, all 328 were steel, not aluminum, but they did have aluminum front hoods. They spent money on the female presenter and the video graphics, why didn't they at least do a little research?

  • @redcarsarasota Reminds me of a Top Gear episode with Clarkson when he's reviewing an Alfa Romeo (166 I think). He mention's the engine and the chrome runners like it's a new innovation. They only been doing that for 15 years. lol

  • @redcarsarasota Couldn't agree more, the guy makes himself sound like an idiot : )

  • This dickhead reporter (and the salesman) don't have a clue: The 308s were steel apart from around 700 or so early GTBs. None of the 328s were ever aluminum.

  • You're correct,friend.

    What n ignorance.

  • no he didnt he went thro a yellow witch u r allowed to do

  • Only early 308s were fiberglas.

  • Good observation. Last fiberglass 308s were in '76-77.

    328s came out in '86.

  • I've seen a red one in person with tan interior. Very nice cars. I've ridden in a 308 GTS QV which is similar. They're a lot of fun. It's like going on a roller coaster. You feel the torque on your back.

  • if its in the gta, it my friends

  • Did he just run a red light in the begining ??

  • You can do that if you have a ferrari.

  • @HartRaver It was between yellow and red, pink I think. lol ;)

  • @HartRaver no it was yellow

  • @HartRaver i think so either that or he just hit it when going through the yellow light haha

  • @HartRaver call the cop's..

  • @HartRaver it was pink =)

  • @HartRaver bustard

  • @HartRaver In a Ferrari, YOU make the rules!

  • @HartRaver it was yellow >.>

  • @HartRaver sure did

  • @HartRaver it was yellow

  • @HartRaver eh .. it was yellow .. close though

  • i saw 2 in 2 days

  • Awesome car! But man, who ordered that thing with the red interior? yuck

  • Red Interiors are classy

    Especially with white,silver or black

  • probably the same nut that ordered the exterior white :-\

  • Nice Ferrari!

  • only the early 308's were fiberglass....

  • my dad has one of those they sound like hell

  • One of the best Ferrari ever, much better then the successor 348.

  • Maybe more reliable and arguably better looking depending on your taste...

But as far as power and handling, 348 is on another level.

  • nice car, loike the 355 better =)

  • 355 was a great car....better looking, better sounding engine, more power.

348 was the last of the old school V8 Ferraris....heavy controls. :)

  • great car! crappy colors, though ^^

  • does it have an engine miss?

  • Better looking?? Have to say I like the 308 better.

  • I like the 308 but those damn black bumpers ruin the Pinafarina lines for me....328 is just flawless, timeless beauty :-)

  • Then get a 308 without the big bumpers...simple. :)

  • Wow, Morgan Page is a very hot piece of ass. Would love her to drive my ferrari.

  • You're wrong. The 308 wasn't fiberglass. Only a few in the initial 1975 run were, and the rest were all aluminum.

  • its not a better looking 308, god these Americans!

  • This car is raw yet refined. No power steering, you always have to be aware driving this car, its not a turn the steering wheel with one finger like some modern ones. You drive a 328 and you know what a Ferrari is all about. Kids of today focus all on 0-60 times and this car proves thats not all that matters.

  • My dads got a 328 GTS

  • I think they only made the Fiberglass bodied 308's for one year in the early 70's. then switched to steele and Aluminum.

  • it was 1977

  • Ferrai 308 Vetroressina

  • My fav ferrari.

  • ugh, I hate how ferraris are treated like a stock portfolio instead of a sports car with a thoroughbred racing heritage.

  • I love the look of the 328.

  • hey zommbee how much do these old ferraris go for

  • I agree with Andy328 - these cars need to be DRIVEN - not chugged along at 2.0K shift points. And yes, it's bloody hard work to drive RIGHT. This is NOT a Corvette or Lexus! Sorry, but I'm protective of the 3x8 series and hate to see idiots post videos like this. Just makes me crazy.

  • ...And YES the 1988.5 328s DID have ABS (anti lock brakes). And watching this guy shift - good lord. 1.5K - 2.5k shifts is NOT 'driving a Ferrari'. Below that you're BELOW THE POWER BAND and might as well drive a Toyota. STUPID VIDEO. SORRY. If you are going to be an 'expert' on 328s then LEARN ABOUT THEM. I own a 1986 (S/N 61515) so you can't BS me dude. What a dumb video.

  • Ok - FIRST off, only the first 2 years of the 308 were fiberglass. They went STEEL. There was NEVER an 'aluminum body' 328!! Aluminum front bonnet, but the body was STEEL, Mr. Ferrari expert (yes, I own one so I know)... more to follow...

  • There was 1 aluminum body 328 Gts made- in yellow. A custom order from Ferrari,- delievered to Texas. The car, with all Ferrari invoices was offered to me for sale. I passed, I own an 1987 Gts.

  • Video says little about what it's like to drive! 328 still feels fast to drive by modern standards - though it is hard work. Have to hold on tight to wheel to stop it being wrenched out of your hands over potholes. Need to rev engine to get good exhaust note (unlike lame video test drive) - tubi upgrade makes huge difference. Car is a piece of art and I expect will go on to become a real classic being the last of the hand-built curvy models prior to more angular cars of late 80's.

  • Whether it is better looking than a 308 as they say, I and many other don't agree.

  • It's not made of aluminium, all steel except the front hood which is indeed alu.

First they say it has ABS (could be for a '88-'89) then he says he likes the old school feeling with no ABS...
