It's a 800mhz Scorpion, which is faster than the 1.gz Snapdragon, bro. It's getting FPS WAY over the Nexus1, and crazy smooth with Flash and stuff. Just wait, you'll be surprised by the CPU. Actually, it's not the snapdragon, it's the scorpion. Yes, it does have the snapdragon core in it, but it's a considerable faster processor. an 800MHz MSM7230 (what's in the G2) beats the 1GHz Snapdragon that's in my N1, hands down. This is one super fast phone.

I saw some of the people dropped the T-Mobile G2, because they think that the 800 MHz processor in it is just a one slow processor. The processor in G2 is a next generation processor, and it’s better than the 1 GHz processor in Nexus One. You can check the test video on youtube. This Guy doesn't know anything else other than iStuff. The new Snapdragon processor found in the G2 (which I'm replacing my Nexus One with) is faster than the current ones found in the Evo, Droid Incredible and Nexus One. It also has the Adreno 205 which is 3-4 times faster than the current Andreno 200. So in the end this 800mhz processor is running faster than the iPhone 4/iPod 4 and comes really close to the Galaxy S's hummingbird.

the reason the processor isn't the fastest out (the snapdragon is really rated at 1ghz) is because between the 4g capability and the processor, they needed to extend the battery life somewhat...so they made some concessions and underclocked it

You're wrong about the processor, it's a Qualcomm processor, and 800Mhz is faster than the 1Ghz Snappdragon in the Nexus. Plus the G2 has 4GB internal mem. and an 8 Gig SD comes with it. But the only thing it really is lacking for me is the front facing camera.

God, how did I know you were gonna complain it was clocked at 800MHz. First, its the new Snapdragon processor; its fast and has excellent GPU. Its at the same speed as the Galaxy S series, CPU and CPU-wise. So this thing will run like a champ, better than a 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

Also, being under-clocked, having the already less power consumption new chip, and no bloat-ware, the battery will probably be amazing..

The CPU is scaled down to 800mhz by T-Mobile probably to preserve battery, you could get SetCPU from the Android Market and put it back to 1ghz. Also this is a newer snapdragon then you'd find on a Desire or HD2. The GPU is comparable to the OMAP-one. It's not as good but it's not way behind it.
