  • peavey is badass

  • Had my Amp since July, has anyone else had a problems with there tone staying consistent? It almost seems like sometimes when I turn my amp on I like to use the Mesa setting and it seems like some days my sound has more terrible than others, and other days it sounds damn near close to a tube amp with great deepness and tone definition. Anyone else notice this?

  • No need to apollogize ....it's just one of those things. Wish Matthias was still here among the living with us ( :

  • Matt who did the Vypyr videos for Peavey pass away recently. I found about it on the Peavey site under Vypyr amps in the user forum. When I contacted Matt a while ago about these amazing amps his encouragement made me pick up a Tube 60 model. Matthias was one hell of a great musician and will be missed.

  • R.I.P. Matthias.....Thanks for all the great Peavey Vypyr Videos!!

  • I have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard O.O what kind of amp should I get? I currently have a Fender Frontman 15G xD

  • Hii Know one what settigngs he have at the end solo?

  • Vypyr might the the greatest cheap amp ever

  • yeh idk what ur talking about

  • Can anyone help me with the setting on it. like i cant figure out how to make it metal or heavy metal. or just like rock

  • hi - i made some videos with the exact settings explained (can be found in the comments) - take a look, it may help you! regards Matt

  • Please help me out!! I really like the line 6 spider 15 w, but should i get the peavey vypyr 15 w instead???

  • To put it simply, yes. Try to get the 30 instead. Just 100 dollars more can get you so much more in the amp

  • see wat pisses me off is the 75 wat vypr has a USB line out, but the 15 and 30 dont. if the 15 had a usb out i would buy it rite now. The line 6 has a analog line out wich is rly nice in my opionoin

  • the vypyr 15 and 30 have an analog rec out as well - works fine!

  • so i can have a line straight out from the 15w vypr, to my pedals?

  • it´s frequency compensated, means you can connect it to a mixing desk/PA/computer line in...

  • i dont understand

  • the rec out gives out the amp signal at a line level. it simulates the sound of amp speakers without using them - works nice for recordings and to increase the volume of the amp (PA-system). in one of my videos (it´s vypyr experience vol. 4) i´m using the rec out - have a look...

  • wats the size of cable out??????

  • mini jack (like an iPod)

  • kk, but like were do i get a cable like that? and how can i plug that into a big jack? also with the pansera footswitch or w.e, does that a have a normal gutiar out?

  • yeah i guess but u honestkly dont need it at all the vypyr has so much good sounding shit

  • which amp are you using at 1.40-1.50 and what EQ and effects do u got with it?

  • guess it was XXX red... can´t remember, but it seems to be the LED...

  • which amp do you have on from 1.40-1.50

  • take a look at the "the vypyr experience" vids. its fucking amazing what these amps can do. cant believe it!!

  • no balls?

i never have to take my volume above 1 when it goes to 13 on my 15 w.

  • the end is so kool its like hes Santana in disguise

  • Good stuff!

  • I want to have my Peavey...NOW! :D I ordered one 2 months ago, and I am so excited to play this one finally!

  • please tell me you ordered one of the tube versions and have just been waiting that long cause they were only releases today? cause i want one but need it in a month haha

  • the diezel setting on there is so nice if u want distortion u got it

  • his name is matthias arp, he´s an amazing player. i met him at franfurt trade show this year and he was brilliant.

  • dude i just got one of those the other day :D:D:D ahh i'm so happy ..it's fuckin awesome

  • These amps have problems. check the peavey message board and harmony central reviews before you buy. I returned mine.

  • i returned mine also due to a whistling sound and you have to buy a sanpera footswitch to properly use the thing. soloing was good but could never get a warm tone when chording.(75watt series)

  • should i get a line 6 spider 3 30 watt instead??

  • NO not worth it the vypyr is COMPLETELY editable and has tons of effects and stompboxes while the line 6 is just gain treble all that boring stuff without the presets that the 75 and above have GO WITH THE VYPYR

  • koo thnx man.. that's what i was leaning towards..

  • When doing press recording at conventions... use a directional Mic with your camera... please?

  • Anyone know if/where a cover of the vypyr tube amp(100 watts) would be posted??

  • to the dumbass that said a line 6 spider valve would rape this amp you have no idea what yer talkin about i had a spider valve and ya know why i got rid of it? because even with real tubes in it it still sounded like a big pile of over priced shit i played a vypyr the other day and its tha real deal it sounds like an amp should

  • yeah, spider valves blow. too bad

  • anybody got anygood santana settings for the peavey vypyr 30w.

  • I just got my Vypyr 30 and was looking for some santana settings, try this. Peavey Classic (red) Pre gain - 6th dot Low - 3rd dot Mid - all the way High - between 3 and 4 Reverb - between 2 and 3 NO FX TubeScrm - Para1 - between 3-4 Para2 - 2 Played on my Fndr Strat HotNoiseless BM with the tone rolled off.
  • is the 75 watt model as good as the 100 watt model ?

  • i've tried both spider valve 100 watt combo/head and the 75 watt version of this amp. hands down, peavy produced the best sounding solid state i've heard. line 6 once again has very synthetic effects and distortion (except flextone III amps and of course the vetta amps) after about 3 hours of dialing in (no joke). with the peavy, within about 5 minutes, i had the distortion and the clean i've been searching for. i'm trading in my b-52 lg-100 head(with 400 watt cab) in for this amazing amp.

  • your stupid

  • sorry, got a question:

Which would you recomend me to get, the vypyr 30w or the vypyr 15w?

  • 30 more features and power

  • i've owned many solid state amps including VOX,MARSHALL and LINE 6.this amp, hands down blows them away.why do i say this? if your looking for a athentic tube crunch sound in a inexpensive solid state amp, this is for you.the sound is AMAZING

  • This amp is sweet, I want one so bad! fuck line 6

  • Mathias Arp is an awsome player! He is the German Joe Satriani :-)

  • I dont understand how he's getting those tones.... I have the 75

  • Tweak like a son of a gun, I heard some people gave up on learning how to tweak the amp and took it back.

  • Can anybody please answer me, it's pretty urgent.

Can this amp play metal (megadeth-like)? does it have hi gain presets?

    thanks!

  • Yes. Almost half it's amp models are high gain.

  • yep it has 6505 and Krank models. If you ask me I think its a waste having nothing but rock demos on youtube of this amp. The thing is a metal monster and should be demo'd as such. I just bought the 75 watter and it sounds the best running into my PA. Far more realistic than any other modeler I have tried into my PA. Any other modeler I have tried sounds like crap running direct.

  • can the vypyr 15 get gnr tones??

    \

  • if anyone here has a Peavey Vypyr 30 30W can u plz tell me how much it wieghs? about?

  • i gots a 75W its about 35 lbs

  • Cant understand a word of this, much less determine if the amp sounds good...just noise..

  • this one marshall mgs are pure garbage kid

  • can you guys help me out??

i cant decide... its either a marshall mg 30 watts or this amp for 30 watts..

    which one should i get???

  • only half stacks but that peavey is good man

  • not the marshall :)

  • NO. NEVER USE AN MG.

That was the stuff the 2 girls and one cup were playing with. No joke.

  • Looks great, can't wait to try it. 32 bit, thats more than the Vetta or HD147. And the H&K zentera is 32 bit, and runs about $3500. I'll definatly be trying one out, hopefully buying one for dorm playing ;)

  • Line 6 just got their ass kicked by the Vypyr

  • Spider 3 and the Vypyr are the best practice and gig amps. Spider has an identical twin!

  • I agree with that, but when I first heard that Peavey was making their own modeling amp, I thought, What's this their Line 6 knock-off? But, when I first saw it, I'm starting to like the Vypyr better than Line 6.

  • YEA

  • I just bought this amp the 75 watt version it sounds incredible. Blows line 6 away imo. And i like line 6.

  • I just bought this amp about a week ago. Im not that good at guitar, but the 6505 in overdrive with the tube effect turned on makes even me sound like a heavy metal expert. Definetly check out this amp!

  • I bought the 75 watt, GC didnt have anything higher than that... I like the tones and the effects but its difficult to use, takes some time to get used to... I will be investing in a sanpera

  • How much was it?

  • $300 US.

  • does anyone here owns it? any version... anyone?

  • i am gonan buy this amp!!

  • Ok I'm prepared to go on the record now. I'm seriously interested in this amp.

  • I with you Ralph. Peavey has knocked one out of the park with these. Finally, someone doing something new in the digital amp modeling domain: more powerful processors, analog overdrive, a built in looper! Excellent value for the price.

If its still available, download the demo version of Peavey's new revalver software. While limited in some features, the realism of the tones blew me away. Thats what got me thinking about these amps!

  • All I'm saying is that I'm interested. I have to try it out first.

I've been looking to get a new amp. I like the power spunge that allows a 75W to play softly in a home. I like the many features. The price is so low that I wonder about the quality, but then again it's Peavey so it's probably good.

I can't wait to try it out.

  • its amazing i tried it out at um guitarcenter its amazing and the 6505 part is perfect

  • The positive reviews just keep piling up.

  • hahah its so true but the amp is simply amazing it desreves it

  • thats pretty cool is the tube amp version an actual tube amp or is a pre-tube amp thing like a hybrid or valve-state thing? thats pretty cool how it has that loop effect, sorta sounds like hes playing some santana thing anyone know if thats a song or just his own inprov?

  • It's not a true tube amp, it's a hybrid. The tube is in the power amp. And it's only one tube, so it's likely got some SS tech in the poweramp.

I played the 75W version, which doesn't have a tube, and it sounded freaking amazing. The distortion is so true, and the effects also sound very true. It takes some time to really tweak into the right settings, but if I was in the market for an amp, I would probably get one of these.

  • the tube in the power amp is probably plate starved like in the vox ad series

just there so they can say it has tubes and fool the newbies

  • Yeah, it obviously won't be very easy to achieve true tube breakup, which is the whole point of tubes. But I've never played a hybrid amp; only SS and tube. And the 75W SS still sounded amazing, and I don't care if it has tubes or not, just whether it sounds good to me.

  • That is incorrect, the V60 has 2x6L6 power tubes and 1 12AX7 pi tube, the V120 has 4x6L6 power tubes and 1 12AX7 pi tube. mds

  • thats so sick at the end how it does that

  • I hope these amps will sell better than the Line 6 spiders and Marshall MG's.

    Those suck.

  • These amps look so good, I'm hoping to get one at Christmas time in the UK, and not many guitar shops can get them.

  • when will they arrive at Europe? I'd love to see some quality reviews of this amp

  • that pedelboard is prob at least 200 to go with the amp

  • Actually, it sells for about $179

  • Sounds great and I love his playing.

  • also how many watts is the one your playing im getting one this week

  • This guy is in the mood for "Sweet Emotion" lol

  • awesome amp.

  • sorry,

how much is one of those amps in the USA?

  • depends what size 15 watt 99 bucks 30 watt 200 bucks and on and on

  • What guitar is it???? I want it...sounds cool in combination with any amp

  • I believe that is Peavey's HP EXP model. The Korean made version. You can get one for about $400. One of the best guitar designs for playing!

  • cool, der erste modeling amp, der mir gut gefällt!

    Muss sofort los ihn anspielen!

    Echt cool!

  • Weist du wieviel kostet es? Mir gefällt es auch sehr.
