This young man has skills I dreamed of having. No, actually I dreamed to have half his skills. Good luck young man. Keep up the unbelievable school work (perfect GPA). I would love to see you go to the Cats in Tucson, but if you do go to Stanford, I am sure you will never regret it.
Also, Keola displayed a good ability to catch the ball out of the backfield, which would be another nice addidtion to Hubbard's game (I only saw 3 pass plays). It would be nice to see U of A or asu take a chance on this young man (U of A preferably). Good luck young man and keep working! There is always room for improvment.
I really hope this young man gets a chance at the D1 level. It is unfortunate that the system he plays in though does not translate well to the college game. He reminds me a lot of Keola Antolin at U of A, but I would like to see him run with more power and a malicious intent. If he is able to get to 170 and keep his speed and agility, it'll help him out tremendously.
Reminds me alot of our dad (Derek Hubbard Sr) Wichita South High product who rushed for 1,481 as a sophmore in highschool. Keep doing your thing bro every back home in Wichita misses you man. Finsh strong bro work to perfection. Lets go for 2,000 yards next year thats our goal. Keep maintaing them grades too bra. We both on our way 'League Bound' Wichita,KS produces great runningbacks. Barry Sanders,Bryce Brown,Deangelo Evans,Derek Hubbard Sr,John Randle,Joseph Randle,Demarcus (D-Mac) Robinson
DJ's season wasn't all that great this year, but as an individual he performed pretty well under the circumstances. Recording 1133yds and 11tds on 150 car. He was still well respect when opposing teams lined up against him. Mr. Hubbard still has a lot to learn and is continuing to challenge hisself everyday. Up incoming events are college camps and NUC combine. Intivee of USARMY Combine and FBU this year, as he is still one of Arizona's Top performer. Hubbard is focused on college and grades.
He was bigger size wise, but my son is much faster at this level now. We do a lot of combines and he been clocked at 4.36 once as a freshmen, but realistically he capable of laying down a 4.4 anytime, which is his average. I have many other videos you can view of my son, and thxs for the support.
