I love this movie, however i was pissed at movie critics cause they rated the movie so low. Anyways i believe this is one of Jean Claude Van Damme's best movies he has done.

On a side note, how is this movie not one of the best films when you have Lawrence Taylor ripping out some guy's tongue within the first 2 minutes of the film lolz

i don't know how he got inspired by it, but i can say i was. I rented this movie when i had cancer and doctors told me i had less then six months. I watched this movie and felt somehow connected to this movie, especially with the soundtrack you hear in the beginningcredits. To me that song/sound represents pain in your darkest hours. I saw how he was locked up and was just alone with his missery and such. Just like i was.

and i too thought about things in my life i could have done better and certain people i wished i had beside me rather then losing them. Now nearly two years later, my life is still lonely and boring, with nothing but my memories of pain and the desire to train (i go to the gym now six days a week). But change will come as i will go live alone in the big city and go to college next year. Heck i might even write a book to help other patients of the horrible desease.

anyway's i'm better now against all odds people gave and exercising like never before. i became quite muscular and will continue to do this. And all thanks to this film. I would like to know what that song in the beginning is though........anyone knows ???
