The design for these characters was actually given negative opinions, people said they were too much like Death Note characters in design, well I can see it, but it's a mix of Death note and Final Fantasy, too many belts and shit for some guys.

@serarblem123 Sypha and Carmilla have short hair, Alucard and Dracula you can scarcely tell (under their capes) Eric's is in a ponytail and Maria's are in twintails. And yeah, pretty much all the other characters have short/no hair.

But seriously though, if you watch the animations when they attack and stuff their hair is so stiff. D= It's like their hair was gelled together so it never separates.

I actually kinda like the nun's cap look she sports in Judgment. Plus, she has some of the coolest attacks in the game. Materializing all different weapons mid combo, and moves like the giant stone fists and flaming wolf heads simply cannot be beat.

Gotta love her theme too. Great song.

Shanoa is my favourite charachter of all the Castlevania saga, but Judgement is an insult: the charachter design is all wrong and Castlevania isn't a 3D fight game.

@Nick252570 Soma and Richter were probably the two characters wanted to get into this game the most, but the former is "explained" by Aeon alluding to a time paradox if Dracula and his reincarnation were both present. As for Richter, there were already two Belmonts, and Trevor was there to complete the cast of 3. Shanoa is pretty popular, but was most likely put in here to hype OoE, seeing as both games came out around the same time. She's also supposed to represent Iga's wife, so yeah...

There are several mistakes between OoE and Judgement, for example her clothes and hair, and the fact that the Storys says "She entered the timerift while she was searching for Albus." Yet she can use Acerbatus which she gets from Albus at the time he dies.
