  • I wouldnt use that gun just because it's fucking ugly.

  • It kicks like hell and reloads like.... I don't know what, neither do they.

  • The G11 was already in field tests of the german army and was almost ready for serial production. The very most of the problems, people know about, where solved in the K2 version (But THIS is not the K2 version). The reason, that the G11 was canceled were political and financial ones. The reunification was damn expensive and after the fall of the warsaw pact, the government was unable to justify the adoption of an assault rifle, beeing as 7 times expensive as a conventional rifle...

  • @VpR81 I wonder if there is any hope that the G11 or something like the G11 might be issued to the German armed forces in the future? Weapons like the G11 are the wave of the future!

  • @jayatfreelance No chance, I fear, because of numerous reasons, not the least might be the cost of weapon and ammunition.

The german "Bundeswehr" is in fact using a quite reliable weapon in the G36 (advanced version of the earlier H&K G3), sadly it's in no way innovative or modern.

Well, as long as the US are still using the M16 or simliar weapons...

  • damn, that thing had some kick to it

  • man the G11 looks funky :)

  • oh... its pronounced "coke".... i pronounced it like "kotch"

  • @frickinasshle He sanitised the pronounciation so that squaddies would not drown out the rest of the vid with their own sniggering.

  • Too bad the word "Koch" has such a tricky pronunciation. Sounds like in the future you will shoot coke or sometimes even couches at your enemies... X)

  • Why didn't this go to mass production?

  • @TheMcK777 the loading mechanism was to unconventional so basically you could only use rounds that are in the exact "magazine" that is shown in the video

  • @co0leo56 That wasn't the main issue. The main problem was the cook off. Advances in propellant that don't cook off at high temperatures are being made currently.

  • @EnigmaHood HK addressed cook off with the G11. That problem was apparently with older generator ammunition.

  • @TheMcK777 A lot of it had to do with politics; the reunification of West & East Germany led to the cancellation of the G11 project. Plus, the G11 wasn't perfect, especially in concern to its dangerous cook-off tendencies (the caseless ammo could heat up and explode).

  • @dave55811 Cook-off has mostly been addressed. High ignition propellant is the answer. Future caseless designs are going to incorporate even higher temperature ignition propellant and electronic firing.

  • But there is something wrong with the Title. This is not the G11 K2. The G11 K2 was the one wich was delivered for field tests to the german army and not a prototype anymore. The one shown in the video is a prototype. The K2 had two spare magazines, was able to attach a bajonett and had a way different handguard. It was the final version, ready for serial production. Watch for the video "H&K G11", uploaded by HKUMP. That is the K2

  • This rifle is one of the reasons, why HK are two of the most important letters in the world!

  • fuck me, look at the recoil on that thing

  • this is my favorite weapon on black ops

  • @QueefJuicer2 Yeah

  • @jaglavaksoldier

i've always wanted to point this out but kept forgetting

the rifle in this video isn't actually the final design, the K2, but an earlier prototype from the 80ies

  • great gun

  • hell it's strange looking...

  • this gun was the biggest cock tease firearm ever, a perfectly engineered set of prototypes that went nowhere

  • Looks a little like the Nerf Deploy cs-6.

  • Wow! Before blacks ops came out, this video only had like 700 views. lol

  • Hmmm I think HK should remake the G11 with more appealing aesthetics and see if it catches on. I bet it will.

  • that seems like a small caliber? how would it fare on bodyarmor at 100yd+?

  • Too much kick for an infantry weapon

  • @Cowbelltheoneandonly

Its called Recoil. And if you think thats bad then you must be a pussy.

  • @Testement117

You must be new to assault rifles of something, because if you can't see why the recoil on this weapon is too much for a common infantry man, something is up with you. Unfortunately, not all soldiers are testosterone fueled warriors who think 45-70 gov't kick is recoil pleasure. Assault rifle were made to have rate of fire and low kick of a submachine gun, and the distance if a high powered rifle.

  • @Cowbelltheoneandonly if this recoil allows you to put 3 bullets into the same target in under 1/10th of a second then i'd say that's a price anyone would be glad to pay ;)

besides assault rifles were never meant to have the range of a high powered rifle (nor do they)

all 3 features like you described them together in one gun are simply not possible

  • @Testement117

Here's a good comparison: go look at a video in which a soldier is firing an M16 or any other assault rifle in 5.556/45mm. Then, go watch a video of a soldier firing an FN FAL or any other assault rifle chambered in 7.62x51mm. Now look back at the M16. Now look back at the FAL. See the difference? The M16 is putting rounds on paper in full auto, while the FAL is spraying everyone (unless the shooter is some big ass fucker who jacks off to Fight Club, lol)

  • @Cowbelltheoneandonly Look at the M16. Now the FAL. Now back at the M16. See the difference? This is the assault rifle yours could be if it used the 5.56mm round.

  • @RedSandStudios

No..the HK G11 fires a 4.73x33mm caseless rounds, which in result has more recoil. The whole idea of caseless ammunition is not suitable for an assault rifle..possibly a light machine gun system.

  • @Cowbelltheoneandonly

oh cmon.. just watch the video and listen closely

    it isn't that hard

  • @Cowbelltheoneandonly The reason you think it has a large amount of recoil is that it fires a 3 round burst very quickly so you are seeing the combined recoil of 3 rounds. However the rounds are fired so quickly that they still form a tight group. In single shot it would have similar recoil to a M16.

  • @davidatheist with the added benefit that all 3 bullets will hit the same target

i can only wonder why people would think this burst fire isn't superior to any other assault rifle currently in use... if you can fire burst like you'd a single shot and be sure whatever you hit is ultimately out of combat ... well let's just say the same can't be said about the M16

granted its lack of spray isn't great for suppressing fire but what the hell you can still use full auto for that

  • @Keh0ol To answer to that, 3 bullers burst and with a 45bullet magazine, you can run out of bullets at half time of that of M16. Besides that, the bullet-resistant vests that are developed today can easily withstand all three bullets on the same spot. (Which by the way isnt exactly the same spot. Each bullet has a slighly different impact location).

PS. I dont mean to support M16 or Colt but i think i would rather go with and oldie, goldie AK-47 or a G3 to war rather than this thing.

  • @Steilhandgranate "Besides that, the bullet-resistant vests that are developed today can easily withstand all three bullets on the same spot. "

modern bulletproof vests with armor plate can withstand a 7.62x51 nato at point blank which is pretty much the most powerful round you'll find in any mobile automatic weapon

the G11 would tear through a kevlar-vest (without armor plate) like butter

the M-16 still doesn't hold anything against a 3 round burst that's almost as accurate as single fire

  • @Keh0ol But what's the point of wearing a kevlar vest if you dont have armor plates in it?

Im not comparing M-16 to anything. I just mentioned it as an example.

  • @Steilhandgranate not much point in wearing kevlar only in a combat zone of course

main point was that modern combat armor can withstand pretty much any small arms caliber so you can't really hold that against the g11

  • The case disolves in the gun, little recoil in super BURST FIRE 5XXXX!!! and has great resistance to the environment.

Why don't we use this? Can a C Class person get this?

  • @fonkymaster it's no longer being produced

only a couple thousand units were made

not sure where they're being stored

probably in the hands of H&K still

  • Thumbs up if you knew about this weapon before Black Ops.

  • @SixbulletRussianRoul i knew about this long before i knew about black ops, when i seen it on black ops i was really surprised to see such a weird and barely known weapon in a video game.

  • @SixbulletRussianRoul First time I ever saw this gun was in 007 Agent Under Fire

  • @SixbulletRussianRoul

    Fallout 2 FTW.

  • @SixbulletRussianRoul BUT IT LOOKZ SOOO COOL WHEN U PUT DA ORANGE CAMO ON IT!!!!!11111

  • @SixbulletRussianRoul Right here. Loooooong before Black Ops; I'd say I've known of the G11 9-10 years before Black Ops was released. However, I never knew of its reloading operation until Black Ops, and I don't even know if it's legit or not (rotating that thing in the back after loading a new magazine).

  • @SixbulletRussianRoul black ops is retarted...

  • @bobmanwow Yes, and so are you apparently.

  • Is it just me or does this gun have some hellacious recoil?

  • @zclary923 basically while firing in burst it's like firing 1 single bullet with the recoil and the stopping power of 3 bullets

    figuratively speaking

of course you're still firing 3 bullets but they'd all hit the same target at almost the same instant

  • @zclary923 The reason you think it has a large amount of recoil is that it fires a 3 round burst very quickly so you are seeing the combined recoil of 3 rounds. However the rounds are fired so quickly that they still form a tight group. In single shot it would have similar recoil to a M16.

  • how much was the goober at 1:25 paid to stand there and look stupid.

  • What about the WA2000

  • @watchmeskate10 The WA2000 is a sniper rifle that fires conventional ammunition in a conventional way. The only similarity to the G11 is its general outline.

  • Yeah lol i just realised i actually commented on the wrong video! XD

It was meant to be on ugliest guns in the world and WA2000 was no where to be seen

  • anyone remember this gun from syphon filter 2?

  • @wesker789

    hell yes i do.

  • i bet u guys didn't kno this gun, b4 u saw it in black ops

  • @omgitsmeagain13 it was in fallout 2

  • @omgitsmeagain13

The majority of them didn't. I hate faggots who learn their weapons from video games and post comments on videos as if they know what they're talking about. The only thing that I hate about Black Ops is that they didn't include the SKS, which was a beast of a weapon that saw combat during Vietnam.

  • @KaiserFlamberge i feel you, i mean this was my favourite rifle then games had to ruin it just like the g3 and steyr aug

  • i just want you to know someone stole your footage and has 1 million views

  • lol 0:18 it looks like it's hitting that guy's face

  • The recoil on this thing is ridiculous

  • that is the most bizarre weapon I've ever seen. Looks uncomfortable to shoot.

  • I still don't understand how a gun could use caseless bullets. Does the whole thing ignite and fires off or what?

  • @shmookins ye

  • man big recoil

  • A pity they didn't have the money to equip german soldiers with it!

  • Wow! the original quality footage! you rock!

  • this thing looks like it kicks like a mule man dam

i read that it does not have alot of kick but it sure dont look it

  • i like the steyr acr more than this

  • hands down best gun out there

  • should make caseless bullpup design with super kriss engineering

  • The Army should Research Infinite Ammo,So that More Ammo is Manufactured Inside the Gun.

  • @TheWehrmacht1944 Yes but in burst mode, with the recoil not being felt until the bullet of the 3-burst has left the barrel, you can put all 3 rounds perfectly on target, something that was never possible with the M16. In full auto, the fire rate is slow enough to keep on target. Perhaps a compensator is in order, though.

  • hmm look at this website, it tells you all about the gun,

however in this video dose it shoot a 4.92 or a 5.56 nato?

also dose inybody know the barrel length?

  • look at that SOB kick

  • i think it could look better, but i guess they really care about the looks as long as it kills.

  • It's fuckin' ugly, but it looks promising.

  • How the hell did you managed to get the original ACR footage?

  • @akibmatf It pays to have friends who have access to footage like this...

  • @jaglavaksoldier You must have very very good friends ;)

  • During the U.S. Army and Bundeswehr tests it was also obvious that the newbies can learn the handling and cleaning of this weapon much easier compared to the HK G3, or the M16.

To clean the HK G11, it only has to be field-stripped to 5 big parts, compared to the M16 (with 8 or 10 parts I can't remember exactly).

The inner mechanism is very dirty after shooting a few thousand rounds but despite this(!), it was found to be a very reliable weapon.

  • The U.S. Army and the German Bundeswehr tests on this weapon showed:

-the weapon is much more water- and dustproof than the AK47

-can penetrate a NATO steel helmet up to 600m.

    IN SINGLE SHOTS:

    -extremely accurate up to 600m.

IN 3 ROUND BURST MODE (2000 rpm):

-up to 100 m the first and the second round hit the same hole and the third hits very close to them

-when firing at a human torso in the realistic combat range of 300-400 m there is a great chance to hit the target with every 3 fired bullet

  • Gotta love the recoil system. Way ahead of its time.

  • The G11 is STILL the future. I'd have bought it :D
