This phone is not as good as you would think it is. Why? Here's why.

The phone itself lags, especially if you have apps on it (honestly, who doesnt?).

If you don't want your phone freezing on you every 2 seconds, then don't get it.

Also, the battery life, lemme tell you... IT SUCKS HELL.

I'll go to school, 7:50am, with full battery life. 100%.

Come back home around 4pm, almost 60% or it. GONE. And the thing is, I haven't even touched it since I put it in my pocket when school started.

@pockypockypanda I have a lot of apps on my phone and never lags. And with your battery life, turn your brightness to the lowest and turn off your internet or use wifi saves my battery life a lot, lasts all day. But also, all smartphones battery life's suck, just a fact.

i have a little problem. the htc evo 4g seems like a great phone but i am a little conserned about if it would work in the uk. i want to buy it from amazon.com as it is cheap but im not quite sure if it would work in the uk. some people say to me that it wont work because of of its 4g but the phone is also 3g compatible. i currently own an iphone 3gs and ive used it all around the world and i have had no problems about it using it in other countries. surely this phone would be the same?

Worst phone experience I have ever had, Sprints data coverage is dismal especially while trying to watch videos on the go as it is constantly interrupted through the 4G to 3G hand off. Crashes video each time, the battery life is a joke, only 4 hours of constant use of 4g. Sprint is an over all horrible service provider, my friends basic first gen Galaxy s's put this thing to shame with the Tmobile carrier.

this phone SUCKS!!!! you can't play any videos on youtube or even on the sprint tv. they have the kick stand, but what good is it if you can't play videos. And the 4g only work in certain areas

@alexutube Well while I agree with you it isn't really the phone when it comes to the connectivity it is Sprint themselves and how sporadically they have set up their towers which is mainly due to their subcontractor Clearwire. I am dumping sprint just to get the Galaxy S2 with Tmobile where I can actually WATCH videos, I know Sprint has the Galaxy S2 but Sprints coverage is disgusting.

I have a question about the phone, My Aunt has it, and I am planning on getting it. I'm very picky so I want it to be perfect, but I have a question on WHY is it that when you go to your "People App" you will have your contacts(lets say I added 4 to that one, but when you go to "Compose Message" and click on the contact button I could add 10 people from there, and it won't show on "People", and It doesn't even have a shortcut to the one on compose message. It's like 2 complete different lists.

@ChrisTheFox1188 Nope, it is horrible, if you are even on the 4g network in a GOOD coverage area if you compare this to any tmobile verizon or AT&T phone this thing will just sit there while the other phones are already more than a quarter of the way loaded and playing. Also if you are on the go the video constantly crashes back to the youtube main menu screen every time you loose 4g tower and goes to 3g which is like every 500 feet.

@gordonthefree17 It also takes a long time for the "4G antenna is on" thing to pop up so you have to go all the way out of the browser and back into the wireless network settings and force it to scan manually, then go back to the browser and if you try and watch it on 3g alone it is pathetically slow, if you connect to the 4g again while watching on the 3g it crashes the video
