Kids or big kids - don't try to light a fart. if, for whatever reason the fart only goes slightly the other way, you will burn all your insides and will be dead within seconds
@mikeswishbone The UK was supposter change to metric but no one did, so we are still imperial. Speed limits, distances ect are all shown in miles here
the soft seats on a motorcycle wont make it through harsh weather condition and wont last half as long..I'm convinced after seeing L/W/R,that no other bike would have made it through Kazhakstan/Mongolia/Siberia..and dropped and gone through rivers..I'm gettin a BMW bike too..
The bad thing about LWD compared to LWR is that in the latter it was just about Charlie and Ewan. You only saw the support crew at brief points such as border crossings. That's how it should be, because it's about their motorcycle journey. There's way too much of the support crew on this. Also Eve kind of ruins it.
I wish people would stop going on about the fact that they had a big support team behind them who helped make their trip easier whereas most travellers don't.
They wanted to film it and the BBC wanted it - don't you realise that that medic/support team/crew is more than likely part of the insurance agreement they sign with BMX (in exchange for free gear) and the BBC? These companies aren't going invest so much money in 2 inexperienced people without some assurance they're looked after.
@cezzie901 Totally agree with your comments. Plus the fact that they have a deadline to keep and people (like unicef) to meet, they can't very well say they want to spend an week in a certain place unlike other people who travel around the world without a tight schedule. Remember that Ewan is an actor and an extra week out there may mean missing out on certain movie deals that may potentially cost him millions.
Isn't Claudio from Switzerland? Instead of showing them trying to light their farts, maybe it would've been better to see the Swiss interaction. Nah, I guess most people would vote for farts, eh?
@ultrabrilliant ...yeah but maybe they are famous celebrities in Switzerland :D lovely how our best-trained and best-prepared adventure-guys look bit "a proper Charlie" hihi...
Hahahah yes for the plastic bag. Did that at a horse show when it poured for three hours straight. Duct taped plastic bags over out shoes and kept on working.
I would have thought that with all of their top of the range gear, they wouldn't have gotten so wet... I wear cheap ass stuff and it does a good job of keeping me mostly dry...
yeah i know how you feel, i never drive in the rain tho so i wear warm gear but not rainproof at the arms so i just fix that with leather gloves and just put tape around the edges and it stays dry that way
I'd have thought that they would go through southern Germany and done a bit of P.R. in Munich at BMW. That would be a good bit of footage on the Autobahn.
9:36 I think Charlie never again gets to play a role. XD xaxaxa

I don't understand why they refer to distances in the imperial system when they're from the metric system. Anyone?

You pay 300 quid for a pair of alpinestars or sidi boots and only way of making them waterproof is a pair of overshoes that cost less then a tenner
