Boxwood with ivory mounts; sterling silver metal.

The tunes are "colliers"and "paul o shaughnessys"
The pipes are made of boxwood, by Andreas Rogge (allegedly).
Ruben's zouki was made by Stefan Sobell, one of the finest and most expensive makers.
Good stuff! Now, does anybody know the names of those tunes?

It is actually quite amusing that this Greek instrument found its' ways to irish FOLK music as late as 35-40 years ago...
Are you serious? Uilleann pipes are a couple hundred years old. Of course pipes dating thousands of years back seem to have some remnants in France.

capslock286 was talking about the bouzouki. It's a Greek instrument that was introduced to Ireland in the 1960s and became hugely popular there.
chrisdesalvo 4 years ago
Ah, I should have guessed! After all, it is Greek.
I have to say, TERRIFIC playing! I am a huge Lunasa fan, but this is as good! Thanks, and can we have MORE please?
