  • There sure are a lot of "O" s in Irish names. :) I love Ireland BTW

  • The Jigs are "The Collier’s Jig", also known as "Do You Want Any More?" ,

    and "Seamus O'Shanahan's Jig".

  • I feel like I should hop in to my auto and drive down a winding road. Well played.

  • 12,000 pounds minimum for that set of Uilleann pipes. They sounds amazing though.

  • This is AWSOME!!!! Irish pipes ROCK!

  • great biys iam puttin yas on my playlist keep er up.

  • Very Good!

  • fantastique!!!! qui a fait l'uilleann pipes que j'aille lui en commander un?

  • Wow! even better than the other clip.

  • This 1st jig can be also played as a reel

    I know them as Colliers,,,

    Great playing - jim,,,

  • the best of the best, un saludo fuerti ruben and barry from to kalimba

  • Viva Asturias!

  • music to dance to all night long!

  • Whats his uilleann pipe made out of? Looks like Ebony and Boxwood, or just one of those two.

  • Boxwood with ivory mounts; sterling silver metal.

One of Andreas Rogge's "Master Sets."

    Freaking expensive.

  • Yea, probably the most expensive set of pipes out there.

  • OHHH YESSSSSSS

    thanks for sharing that !!

  • The album is older, I didn't mean the tune (It sounds like a newer one to me).

  • I know the last one..I learnt it from a sharon shannon album...I can't remember the name of the tune or the album...It's an older one though.

  • anyone know what tuning ruben uses???

  • GDAD

  • That last jig is just wonderful. Does anyone have the ABC to save me transcribing it?

  • Great performance! What bouzouki tuning is Rubén using?

  • This is beautiful! Thanks for posting.

  • two very talented musicians,I watch this video many times and always enjoy it

  • Jayz that is simply beautiful.Sorry for the comparisons but cant help thinking of Tommy Keane and Alec Finn..:)

  • The tunes are "colliers"and "paul o shaughnessys"

  • The pipes are made of boxwood, by Andreas Rogge (allegedly).

Ruben's zouki was made by Stefan Sobell, one of the finest and most expensive makers.

Good stuff! Now, does anybody know the names of those tunes?

  • i realised that the pipe almost sounds like a hurdy gurdy

  • What are the names of the tunes?

  • Very nice, What a treat! thanks.

  • Class "A" bouzouki playing here!!! Well done Rubén.

  • I mean the bouzouki... of course.

  • It is actually quite amusing that this Greek instrument found its' ways to irish FOLK music as late as 35-40 years ago...

  • Are you serious? Uilleann pipes are a couple hundred years old. Of course pipes dating thousands of years back seem to have some remnants in France.

  • capslock286 was talking about the bouzouki. It's a Greek instrument that was introduced to Ireland in the 1960s and became hugely popular there.

  • Ah, I should have guessed! After all, it is Greek.

  • I have to say, TERRIFIC playing! I am a huge Lunasa fan, but this is as good! Thanks, and can we have MORE please?

    les

  • Can anyone tell me in lamens terms what sort of Uilleann this is?

  • Who made those pipes? They're damn nice

  • what kind of lazy mans bag pipe is that? :D anyway i love irish music and this was great

  • great playing I love it
