@fireclan It can come from a constant friction or rubbing of the head...or it can come from just the abuse of being punched. If you don't drain the blood out, the blood will dry and harden making your ear like that pretty much permanently.

that's not true. yes, blood and other fluids will collect under the perichondrium so it separates the cartilage in the ear which will scar over and will become permanently swollen and deformed. but it doesn't harden it.

Cauliflower ear happens when the ear experiences repetitive trauma from impact. What you see being drained is blood and fluid that collects under the skin but over the cartilage. If the fluid isn't drained it will prevent the cartilage from getting a proper blood supply, the cartilage will die and the ear will look like a floret of cauliflower. Perfect example is Randy Couture.

You can actually catch cauliflower ear from mats when you are wrestling a person because if the mats arent totally disinfected you can get bacteria in your ear causing the nasty pussy swelling.Some of my wrestling friends have had it and boy is it a nasty bitch to have especially when in high school like me and my friends are

You should use a special container when disposing of sharps. It should be made of puncture-proof plastic and specially designed to hold used needles and syringes. Once the container is full, you should take it to a local hospital, doctor's office, pharmacy, or fire station, or health department clinic for proper disposal. Never throw the container in the garbage
