Hey guys if you want to hear the recording of the voice of peace jingles just type it in you tube: voice of peace jingles. It includes the jingle: drink refreshing water- drink water today. I lived too in Tel Aviv in the 1980s and listened to Aibi Natan׳s voice of peace broadcasts, it was of really good quality and inspired all the listeners to stay tuned to that excelent radio station which we miss so much.
OMG this brings back a flood of wonderful memories of living in Kibbutz near Tel Aviv. I interviewed at VOP offices in T.A. around the 1980's as a DJ with a really terrible tape. Didn't get the job; but this evening segment (esp. the Platters song and Abi's voice of hope and peace), brings a tear to the eye. Lost Youth and wonderful memories. Israel was a much more innocent country, or was it just us. RIP Abi; you were a giant amongst pawns. Thanks for the music.
i served in the UN in the med in 1979 and this was a brilliant pop station with all the right messages ... I had 10 days of the best holiday of my life in israel that year ... somebody must have the "drink cool refreshing water ... " jingle please ?
WOW! the memories come flooding back! I grew up on Kol ha Shalom. Where is the anti-coca cola commercial? "Drink cool refreshing water, there's nothing better for you we say - Drink Water TODAAAY!!!"
Brings back soo many happy memories as i was a deck hand on the VOP in1989 , And have such fond memories of Kenny page ,john mcdonald, and Mr Rhada the wonderful cook ..
Hi There I was a presenter on board the Peace Ship between December 1987 and June 1988 and it's an experience I'll never forget(for all the right reasons!) The video brought back all the memories... What happened to Max the cook..?
I typed in youtube: voice of peace jingles

I was a listener and nearly-DJ of Kol HaShalom.
It was a beautiful memory of my life, and gave me many hours of happiness during the eighties.
Shalom forever. Voices of hope and peace.
