  • Have you ever thought of taking a shower after your workout ? and what I mean is taking a shower for 3 minutes with really hot water or at least as hot as you can handle, and another 3 minutes with cold water, as cold as you can handle, for around 10-15 min, it should help with your soreness. P.S. sorry for the comma splices lol, and great video man

  • does the program tell you what equipment you will need to purchase, i.e. yoga blocks, perfect push-up, the elastic bands, and any other equipment?

    also I didnt work out for a good six months but prior to that i was a work out freak, do i need to prepare physically (like callisthenics's for a few weeks) before entering the p90x program? or can i jump right into it?

  • Thats really good form considering its your first week, i just finished day 1 second week im terrified of going back to plyo it was by far the hardest workout for me the first week.

  • Hey i just started P90X this Monday. following the Classic routien and Im having problems with my pullups I am using the chair to help me out but my chair keeps slidding back and forward and i do not feel any burn almost like im not doing anything, I have tried putting a matt and a small carpet under the chair but nothing seems to work anybody have any ideas or suggestions that would help me out?how do you do it with the bands i dont want the thing to snap back at my face

  • you kinda have to jump a lot but the dvd makes us land "softly" using your toes and calf muscles...so in teh end you will be trying to not make noises with your feet

  • yeah but only thing where you are jumping to make noise that may bother your naighbours is the plyometrics routine and that is done once a week. So i think your naighbours can handle one hour in week when you jump a little, i live in apartment fifth floor and i do my plyo exersize with smiling face cause people that live downstairs are bunch of douche bags

  • hey tom ordered by p90x a few days ago its comming on monday and im gonna start the first of april. I got 3 resistance bands and an adjutible dumbell set. I also the the iron gym for a pullup bar and a yoga mat with blocks. Is there anything else you think i should get?

    what video software do you use? do you do your own filming and editing? great job whoever it is. the music, the sound effects, the swipes... awesome job. i'll be watching the rest of your vids.

  • you are funny man .. and I'm sure you have already figured out the best way to do the pull ups with a resistance band is by seating donw - I'm on day # 74 today, and let me tell you, I'm probably in my best shape that I have ever been in my life :-)

  • the pullups with bands seem like they would hurt if that door attachment broke lol. imma start this after the holidays im only 16 and im not fat but im a healthnut and i quit football so im outta shape wish me luck

  • Man this vid was good you're doin well, I started followin your blog, really good helped me out a lot with ideas of what I can eat and what I can't, which was my big problem, I've been two of the workouts for about three weeks, but i'm starting the program well today along with a good diet, but thanks for the inspiration

    Yeah if that band comes flying back at me I'm a goner! I make sure everyone is in the house before setting up the bands and door attachment. I just wish I could use the Chin-Up Bar but my door frames don't work with it.

  • i concur, the video was awesome man. i'll be watching urs and ur wifes closely because me and my wife are going to do the same thing. one question though, what extra things do you need to buy that doesn't come with the p90x system? oh yea, and make sure u lock the door when doing them pull ups, would be a shame is someone opened the door and they snapped back at ya.

    It is definitely tough to get used to but it really is the best thing you can do for your health. It's a real challenge but I'm really liking it!

  • You are doing wonderfully well, Tom and I will keep rooting for you. My journey into a healthier path begins next week but I am starting with a few exercises as a warm up for what is to come - a gruelling 90 days of living, eating and breathing P90X. I'm about to bring it!!!

  • Hows it going guys! My first week was definitely tough for me. but I had a lot fun too as you can see in my video. My favorite workout was Kenpo X, really like that.
