The reason the sound effects are more annoying is bc the timing of them is different. They're more drawn out, probably as a result of one of the codes he is using.

In the audio department the SNES version is the best. The 32X version replaces the sounds and voices missing from the genesis version and they sound much clearer but the music remained largely unchanged. Gameplay wise I believe both are the same, although missing frames of animation on the SNES version may effect the gameplay slightly I'm not sure. Personally I prefer the 6 button Genesis controller so the 32X version wins for me.

The 32X version appears to run at a higher resolution which gives the graphics a cleaner crisper look compared to the SNES version. The character models and portraits on the 32X version look better. The Fatality blood on the 32X version also doesn't disappear when it hits the ground like on the SNES. Some backgrounds on the 32X version look nicer but some of them look nicer on the SNES (like goros lair).
