have you ever gotten any of the "Eyelash" vipers in Banana Yellow. I love them when they get in that brilliant spectrum. I was sad when my tree boa matured and his color shifted.
I've heard these cuties called "eyelash bush vipers," presumably b/c of their resemblance to Bothriechis schlegelii. They're very good-looking little vipers. Pretty green eyes.
I liked watching the second ceratophora licking her skin, that's always cute. Neat how the water is channeled into their mouths by the scales.
Steve Irwin was amazing wasn't he? That guy will be missed. You could get picked up on television shows by showing these snakes in your neighborhood during summer. You would be awesome for an animal/reptile series.
Nice educational videos, pal. Are these related to the golden eyelash vipers here in Costa Rica? I saw a beautiful large golden one evening, draped over a branch of a small palm tree. There was not enough daylight remaining to spend much time with that snake. It was between 5 and 6 feet long. Everybody said they don't get that big. What do you say?
This is hysterical! I mean, good video and all, but I couldn't help but laugh at how the handler is so loving, calm and caring to the little dragon beast that wants him dead. I think this viper wants us all dead. My heart raced a little every time he struck out at the cam. I cannot imagine being brave enough to deal with these critters on a daily basis. I think there's just a bit of crazy in all viper handlers. (Steve Irwin RIP.)
i got a dry bite by a mocasin in flordia visiting my aunts they kept me at the hospital and monitored me most off the day... but nothing happend but i did get an infection from one of my burm bites thats it..
Those Eyelashes are beautiful! I've loved snakes for years after a Western Rattlesnake got into my shed and I had to remove him before it met my dogs. I just wanted to say, keep up the amazing work!
Nice site, intresting pictures im really up for getting a venomous snake (u have inspired me lol)but i dont want to get in to far over my head i am only 15, is there an age requirment or a licence needed or any qualfications? cheers Al
Find a mentor, a person with experience that you can work with who will see you learn the correct techniques and stop you when you are about to do something that will get you hurt. Read all the books on the subjects as you can. If you contact me by email I can send you to places (online forums)that have resources you can tap into. cerastes at earthlink dot net will get you to my email.
Okay...slow down.. Nice to be inspired but you have to find a mentor to see you get the practical experience in a safe, controlled manner. Read, read, read everything you hand get your hands on. You need very good subject knowledge to lay a foundation for the practical experience. The laws/permits vary widely, depending on where you live.

Timber Rattlesnakes are one of the worse bites you can get in the USA. Never underestimate their ability to kill.
