Mister, I like the Quick Snow Chains...you must have been freezing ur rear off making this vid...no gloves and slushy snow...AAA+++ maybe you should just drive around helping cars that can't get through the snow...you seems like a nice guy too!
The "rod" that is supplied appears to be a length of old fencing wire with a hook on one end. Patent pending? I could make one myself. I use Weissenfels and don't have to lie on the ground either. I notice he's kneeling on it though. And his truck started off with bald tyres so no wonder he needs chains. Trying buying a set of snow rubber to start with. There is nothing special here at all and I'd rather stick with a proven brand than something someone made in his garage.
@TheParambulator Yes, a simple length of wire, easy to replace for the common man, no need to pay big money, Patent Pending is on the QSC idea which has been around since the 60's and cleaned up over the years to become a late 80's concept...Patented 13 years ago. Yes sir, the Veteran Quick Snow Chain. The BALD tires help to point out that all Quick Snow Chains need is an INFLATED TIRE to be fitted on to function (and they do). I am only trying to help. Thanks, Joe.
some of these comments are unfair since the van in question is obviously not going to plow snow in colorado an will definitely get anybody through the next blizzard...which the gentlemen is propably suggesting...also perfect for all you vino commenters who will not be limber enough after screwing up a simple snowchain install for the umptenth time in the middle of a snow storm (give me that bottle...damn it)
@scumbubbles1 ; I was thinking the same thing as soon as he said something about "reaching around for the rod". At first I though it was just me and then I read your question... I feel much better now. PS: Please pass the lube.
To fit a snowchain without moving the vehicle is a question of distance between each cross chain. Large distance beween the cross chains on each side of the connection only creates "bumping" while you drive.
Large distance between all cross chains mean fewer cross chains & less grip.
it is the speed in which they go on the vehicles tires as well as the fact that the vehicle DOES NOT need to be moved if stuck. In other words, QUICK SNOW CHAINS. No jacking, moving or adjusting the vehicle and 60 seconds on 30 seconds to remove...thanks. PS...the rod is part of the patent :)

Well, we have to now see proof that these roped-on chains will hold.
Please rev the van's engine to 5,000 RPM and engage the transmission.
We'll be waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the result. Okay?

(P.S. Do any Italian dishes come with these Quick Snow chains?)

The steel rod was a good idea, tow.

I guess the 'rod' is what is patented?
Otherwise, it looks like normal tire chains, or, an obvious evolution.
