@llanto75 I've never heard of this. I heard it was based of the US B-29 design. A few landed in Russia during WW2 that were never returned to America.

@jovanthegreat3 Well, they're both old planes originally built for nuclear strikes. The B-52 is faster, and can carry more payload, but the Bear has a much larger combat radius.

@TheATheme I was praising the Soviet Union for using creating this aircraft. I am recognizing Russia's reforms from the USSR and how it's still a major world player after such a traumatic collapse, I'm not so sure what the last part of you comment said.

MiG was and still is a symbil of Russian fighters, but TU95 has something special. It is fastest turboprop plane ever made. an Aerican analyst said "if Stalin wants to bomb Philadelphia, he will do that, he has tu 95"

It does look kind of ugly, but I think it's that certain kind of ugly where it looks good. lol

As for a symbol the MIG was a symbol of fighters, at least that's what I think.

@rdvd7 MiG is the English transliteration of МиГ which is the Russian Abbreviation of Микоян и Гуревич (Mikoyan and Gurevich) which was a design bureau during the Soviet era. Its now a company in partnership with the Russian government.

Tu is, of course, the English transliteration for Туполев, the design bureau responsible for the Tu-95.

The bureaus names came from their chief designers at inception.
