  • is this better than photosynthesis by andrew mayne for reactions performance and other, i have trouble deciding?

  • @skrach1000 I would definitely get this over photosynthesis

  • Nicer performance man. I just got my DVD yesterday and I've got about 1/4 if it memorized. The moves aren't very hard to do, however, doing them smoothly is where the practice comes in handy. I found what is almost the perfect rope for this trick at home depot, only down side is that its much heavier then magicians rope.

  • Does the purchase come with all of the rope necessary to perform the trick or do you need to buy the rope separately?

  • @DazzlingDoudini No, you have to buy the rope separately. I reccomend you buy Magician's Rope, which is what i used in this video. Most magic stores and magic sites will have Magician's Rope and it's usually rather cheap. The DVD will tell you how to cut the rope into the right lengths tho

  • Very, very nice. Well done.

  • hi i love your video but i was wondering what trick is it at 2:20 ? please reply i have a show coming up

  • @Rainy0ayProductions It's called Sliding Ends. If you know how the routine works, that part of it should be easy to figure out for yourself. Otherwise, it's taught on the The Fiber Optics Extended DVD

  • VERY nicely done, I've been doing Fibre Optics for two years now, and doing magic for more than 40 years, and you have really done a good job with this performance. Good handling, good pacing and nice personality. Keep up the good work.

  • very smooth bro well done !!!!!!

  • Wow man that was good. I thought that DVD looked cool but now you've really inspired me to get it.

I didn't know this was you're YouTube channel... I just stumbled across it...

Are you coming to tannen's this year?

  • @OlsonMagic Yeah, i'll be coming to tannens, it should be fun =)

  • nice dude very nice!!!

  • make a easy move into very smooth presentation I like it! That's the real way of Magic.

  • I would want to try this out saying at the end "This is all an illusion. There is no rope, just a stick" and make a cane appear =P

  • Interesting idea. There are two problems

    1. The rope cannot be fastened to the appearing cane cuz it's too thick. Plus, the nature of the rope might slow down the appearance of the cane.

    2. There really is no motivation. If it was really an illusion, there would be no rope at all. It would make more sense the make the rope disappear completely rather than changing it into a cane

  • Daryl does the same routine as does George Sands and Tabary. Nothing orginal here for me. Seems Mr. Sanders just renamed some very old rope magic.

    Nice handling though.

  • if your interested in rope magic also check out tabary, he is the modern master of rope magic.

  • how advanced is this trick? dont worry. im not a "noob". i have been doing magic for a while but now want to mmove into different area's of magic. many thanks and good video

  • It's fairly easy. I was like you, i didnt know anything about ropes before this. Despite that, i was able to performa decent routine within 30 minutes. The moves arent that hard.

  • Ellusionist is more into street magic than close-up and stage magic so you can find it on almost any other website like MJM Penguin or Richard's own site.

  • good performance. but u do it exactly like richard sanders. perform ur own version

  • actually he was more serious than Richard. Richard's routine is more of a comedy routine than a serious routine so technically he did do his own routine.

  • ur asweome man

    U ROCK!!

  • you copy all even the voice

  • Do you have to buy your own rope? And if so what kind. Thanks

  • you have to supply the rope and you can use any type of rope you want to but imo the best rope to use for this routine would be the Camirand Stage Rope (Stage not Parlor) because it makes that end slide a heck of a lot easier and if you read my other posts I give a detailed thing you might want to do to keep the ends from fraying.

  • using magnet on the end of the rope will ofcourse bind them together.. quite a little bit simple but i'ts agreat fun dude.. good job..

  • There are no magnets, pulleys, glue, or any type if stuff to stick the rope together. The ropes are completely ordinary.

The secret is really simple and if i tell you, you would probably slap yourself in the face and yell "Why didn't i think of that?!"

  • true you dont use gimmickwed ropes or magnets of any sort it really is a simple trick but obviousley very effective

  • very nice.I just got the DVD and made up my own routine including HYPER RING from the extended section-look put for the video coming soon! :)

  • I am getting more into rope magic and I am quite a fan of Richard Sanders having bought extreme burn. Is this DVD worth the money? Can this be done surrounded and does it include a professors nightmare routine? Is it difficult on a scale of 1 to 5 and 5 being expert?

  • Yes, it's totally worth it. In my opinion, this dvd is worth $100, getting it for $35 is an absolute steal.

Yes, most moves can be done surrounded but some moves can't be done if there are people behind you. Usually this is done in a stage or parlour setting where there's a large audience in front of you.

As for difficulty, i would say a 2. It's not that hard really.

  • I've got to admit, this is really impressive, but this stuff is demonic and the devil is used for this stuff, it's called black magic...

  • Awesome routine Dude!!! kinda lengthy but worth it at the end! Good Job

  • Dude!!!!!! this is sooo going on my favs.....is it worth the $35?

check out some of my performances

  • Dude, this dvd is worth $100. $35 is an absolute steal.

  • cool...and the tricks are pretty easy?

  • Yep.

Only like one or 2 things are kinda hard (like that sliding ends thing. That one's a killer to master)

  • OK,thnx

  • the best thing to do is to buy Camirand Stage Rope (Stage not Parlor) and to make sure the ends don't fray take a tealight (it's a small round candle in a small jar) light it and wait until there's some wax in it and dip the ends of the ropes (all 3 pieces) and wait until they're dry and you'll never have that problem again with that move. btw great performance I'm planning on putting my routine up possibly on tuesday when I do it for a live audience and I'm going to be doing the ring part too.

  • i caught everything BUT the first nice job

  • THAT WAS SO NICE

  • the first trick was like amazing. You are so good. Keep up the good work man. You do those tricks so well. Do shows and you would be paid alot. YOU ROCK

  • awesome man SUB ME

  • That was great! Im standing here scratching my head!

  • your great man!

  • sweet lol make sure the ends dont fall off....ah crap...

  • That is awesome, not enough people doing and appreciating rope magic let along doing routines.

  • i hve the dvd but it is very hqard to learn you are very good and it must have taken a whle to get that good. btw....nice ends switch..............in my opinin thaT Is the hardest part

  • Actually i thought a lot of the moves were pretty easy. This is after 1 week of practicing.

As for the end switch, I always use the Lickety-Split Ends Switch. Try using that one, its much quicker, more invisible, and a lot easier.

  • Really well done, amazing =D

  • what DVD is this on?

  • Read the Description

  • Oh, I got it. Sweet.

  • that was a freakin great performance richard!!i love your performance abilitys(patter, fluidness etc...)

    5/5 stars bro!

  • Should've rendered in 640x360 or 1280x720...

    ANYWAYS...

    Nice job...

  • How you you do that? Am i gonna have to re-film it to get the quality up?Sorry, i'm not that into the tech stuff.

  • As your using a very basic video editing software - Windows Movie Maker you have to render (or save) your video in the correct resolution! In WMM, go to tools, options & click the tab where it allow you to change the aspect ratio. Change the aspect ratio to 16:9 (widescreen). Then once you have edited your video, & click save to computer, select the advanced options choose 640x360 (not 640x480) or something that starts with 8??x???.

  • holy shit nice work u the shit

  • omg that was an amazing performance, i saw everyhting that happened because i just see every little piece of sleight of hand, but seriously you handled it amazingly, i could never pull that off!

You put lots of practice into this incredible routine be proud!

    Nico

  • nice job
