this is true one abuse leads to another sometimes. know bus drivers that use blockers, not suppose to but the cell phone conversations become a distraction to the driver at times. truth is in a true emergency nothing you are going to be able to do if you miles away. just dont understand the need to be in touch 24/7
See, here's the thing about bus drivers. They are supposed to be trained to drive under distracting conditions and still concentrate on the road. If they can't handle conversations going on in the bus, they need to find another line of work.. You want to ban the loud crazy people from the bus too? There'd be NO one left to ride.
buy a blocker works for me, it shuts the phones down, yes there illegal but tuff shit. I leave my cell phone in the car when I see a movie. if you cant live without your phone for 2 hrs. you got problems!
I agree about not "needing" a phone for that time under normal conditions. I'd like to have it in case of a true emergency though. The blockers? I did a video on them. I'm not a fan. Eventually, the same type of person who trolls the internet because of the veil of anonymity would just use them to mess with folks for no reason just to get their rocks off. The original purpose would be lost quickly and how can they prosecute for blocking RF?
Most, not all, Americans, in general, will not take a simple polite request seriously until you get A) Loud, or B) Physical. Ever see a person ask someone to stop doing something that annoys them? Here's how it plays out. They do it MORE, for the laugh. sometimes asked several times until the victim gets A or B above, then the perp says "Damn! You ain't gotta be all MAD about it!" But apparently, yes, you do. i don't AGREE with the violent means, but I understand WHY people do it.
I'd like to see a cell phone repeater installed into the theater so at the beginning of all the ads, instead of showing it on the screen, everyone who has their phone on gets texted: "TURN YOUR PHONE OFF! MmmmmmmmmmmmmK?!? Thx."
I agree with others talking about vibrate. It's a nice little feature that notifies you of a call. You can check it without getting up if you are that important, but you can also leave the theater before you answer it. Letting it ring or answering it inside the theater is silly. Those people should be on the perma wait-til-the-DVD list.
Going to the movies is like having sex. You can do it alone, but it's better to have someone else along, and answering a phone in the middle of it is a definite no-no.
No. People who are THAT important can afford private screenings or can get advanced copies. If you're a transplant patient waiting on a list, put that shit on vibrate, get up off your ass, and take the call in the lobby. (not YOU, but YOU as in THEM)
I have a chamically imbalanced friend who has impulse control problems. One night we were watching a movie and a cell phone went off. Well, that was enough for him to yell at her. And then she decided to answer it, in spanish, screaming over the movie so she could chat in the theater. Well, that didn't go to well with him. He grabbed her cell, ran out of the theater to the mens room, tossed the cell phone in the toilet and proceeded to take a dump as she wailed outside the door. Good stuff!
went to see zombieland a couple of weeks ago and the person sitting behind had their phone ring multible times until a theater person came over and and told them to turn it off or leave !
I hate the 'texters' or 'email checkers'.. I ended up behind a woman and her boyfriend he gave her his new PDA to play with during previews.. she continued through the movie, he nudged at her as if a child and she said..the movie is boring. WELL the light was annoying me. She was a witch about it too, I asked her several times to stop. She was childish about it.. WHY ME?
Yeah, I had a horrible experience at Paranormal Activity because every damn audience member treated the place like their living rooms. Lots of talking, lots of cell phones, lots of seat kicking. Bastards.
How about the people who think they're next to a victim in a horror movie? "DON'T go into that room! The monster's in there! [The guy goes in anyway and gets his face bitten off from forehead to navel] I *TOLD* you, JACKASS! Next time LISTEN TO ME."
And kids too, the ones where they sit 3 seats from you and have to use your side to exit to go get candy, then soda, then bathroom, then candy, then bathroom, then soda, then bathroom.
Some people have jobs (some nurses, etc...) that req. them to have cell phones bc they're on call.

People don't understand polite speech, they only understand violence, which is how I communicate. You should practice it too.
I hosed a nigga down with pepper spray cause he wouldn't STFU in a theater on his phone.
Should have brought my brass knuckles and punched him in the back of the head.

It's better than back in the olden times when people had to communicate with smoke signals and they would do that in movie theaters.

Maybe they could line the walls of the theater with somthing that blocks the cellphone signals.

I think they actually do that in Mexico, but I think it's ilegal to do that here in the U.S.

I am that important but, I trun the ringer volume down & am off it right away. Unlike the ignorant c*cks that I usually yell.

Not just ringing, but answering and talking. Not only in movie theaters, but in our live shows.
Be Well.

I was in a theater about 3 years ago where somebody forgot to turn off his phone. His WIFE cussed him out and about 10 people around them clapped.
