I used to see these guys live when I lived in NYC in the early 90s. I came from Chapel Hill and used to satiate my need for a Superchunk show by seeing the Dambuilders. Not quite the same sound, but enough to quench my indie rock thirst. Always thought they'd break bigger, but it never happened.

Gutted I've never seen Dambuilders live (from Australia, now living in CA, got into them just after they toured with Jeff Buckley back in the day) - I'm seeing Joan in a couple of weeks as a consolation.

Easily my favourite band from the mid-nineties. Against The Stars is sooo underrated.
