hey, im thinking about getting gmod, but it seems extremely complicated. Could someone explain to me what it is, how user friendly it is (how hard it is to learn) and how long does it take to load multiplayer. Someone told me it takes forever to load on multiplayer or something. And how do people have modles from halo and dawn of war on there?

Gmod is really not that complicated at all at the basic level, but it depends on how far you go with it.

For example, sandbox on gmod takes a few days to learn and get experienced with the tools, and you can easily create basic jet planes, forts, and other stuff.

However, Wiremod is a bit more complicated...

But you definitely should get gmod. If you don't like building stuff on sandbox, there are many other gamemodes you can try out, like zombie mod, etc. gmod.org for addons

It's the downloading of the server content that makes it seem so long, not the actual connection. When you first join a server with a fuckload of addons, like spacebuild, it might take 2-3 hours to download. But when you're finished downloading everything, and join the server a second time, load time should be less than a minute.

For all of you who were wondering how he made that little ship fly like that, I think he's using the shuttle tool. It's great for flying, and you can't get die while in one, but they aren't compatable with wire, so if you want to pet weapons on one, you need to use the dreaded numpad.

That is pretty big, much larger than my station, but that's because it uses medbridge parts, I chose to only go with smallbridge for mine because I always use the "advanced" skin for all my ships/etc.

I have made one medbridge ship though (it's a cargo ship and it's HUGE) and I might make a medbridge station as well, whenever I get back into playing gmod lol
