  • I thought it would be a joke lowlight not a legit tribute to Morris. lol. Its all good though cause atleast he had some balls.

  • Uhhhh..... Who did he submit? I thought his first fight was getting beat down at the hands of Patrick Smith.

  • @afel33 He submitted someone in the prelims before he fought Smith. UFC 2 was the event where they didn't broadcast about seven of the prelim fights because of time constraints.

Morris also fought in another promotion after his fight with Smith and won by submission again, bringing his record to 2-1-0. The fact that he actually got in the cage again after the Smith beating deserves respect in my books.

  • @afel33 he actually submitted an 18 year old tae kwon do kid called sean daugherty in the first round of the UFC 2 but this match was unseen on PPV.

  • the ninja with a mullet,ufc 2

  • I remember his terrible beating, I was like 12 years old, that crushed my mind, I want to see the rematch with Pat.

  • I want to see Scott Morris vs Keith Hacnkey.

  • He got a real pasting off Pat Smith. But the UFC is purely unarmed techniques. Pat Smith's styles were all unarmed styles (kickboxing/tae kwon do etc).Scott Morris may know his weapons, climb cliffs, stalk his target thru undergrowth, but none of that is necessary as you enter the hall thru the same door and your opponent is facing you on the other side of the octagon.

  • that part is presented very biased, as he would have been a very bad ass in UFC. He won the first fight with a guilotine choke, but lost the next fight to Patrick Smith. But to be fair he was there, not hiding himself behind excuses like "i am too good or too deadly to go there to fight" like many martial artists done and still do (and who claim to be deadly fighters).Coincidentally i didn't saw his first fight, i saw the UFC2 (No Way Out), but still the fight isn't shown.

  • When exactly did Scott Morris beat ANYBODY in the UFC? He got completly DESTROYED in the ONLY UFC fight anyone ever saw him in

  • He must surely hold the records for the fastest records for knockouts for and against.

  • @billysue2 He actually had one other fight in that tournament, which for some reason we can't find footage of anywhere. But yes, he is mostly known for taking what is still considered to be the most brutal beating in MMA history.

  • @Ljenkins9000

I have footage he he threw the guy ovger him lioke a sulmersult and landed in a munted guiatine. This guy isn't a legend but he is a pioneer he is the first ninja in ufc history lol. Give this guy respect.

  • @lindarmusic I respect all of the guys who fought in the early no-rules days no matter how unskilled (mad respect for Fred Ettish, for instance). I would love to see that footage. Where can I find it, or could you upload it?!? It would be greatly appreciated.

Something about those early style vs style fights has always interested me in a different way from modern MMA.

  • @Ljenkins9000 His fight is available on the UFC 2 DVD along with a few other unaired fight, but not all (I managed to download the rest online).

Morris possessed some functional grappling ability, but he had no competition experience before the UFC. Daugherty was an 18 year old Taekwondo stylist who had some kickboxing matches. Morris came out and punched him a few times and took him down with a sacrifice throw (Rolling cement job, visually similar to a tomoe-nage) before choking him.

  • @ThePinkMan I have the first 20 UFCs on DVD at home, but I guess I got the wrong ones, as none of the early unaired fights are on it. Where can I find those which you were able to upload? Greatly appreciated.

  • @Ljenkins9000 I think I got them off of Megauploads. Either way, they sporadically pop up on Youtube. Robert Lucarelli vs. Orlando Weit and Pat Smith vs. Ray Wizard are currently up.

  • @ThePinkMan Wow, just watched them. Thanks a lot dude.

  • he should fight fred ettish.

  • Most people I think saw Ufc 2 on Video casset, and on video casset that first fight with a win for scott was omited. So I think most people remember Scott for getting destroyed on the ground.

Still though it was brave to sign up for the UFC and Scott bounces up after getting pummled. I think most guys would have laid there crying.

  • Yeah, and I am his sister (under my hubbys account) and trust me when I say, HE CAN WHOOP THE SNOT out of you! lol Ive seen it and lived it lol.. He was my protector from my other brother, when we were kids ... and he isnt the kind who walks around bragging or provoking fights, he just finishes them!!

  • well at least he got one impressive one although his next match wasnt too great

  • He sure did pave the way for mixed martial artists in the future. He showed us what NOT to do... But props to him because I wouldn't have done it.

  • @jtchen22 does an armchair asshole, online warrior like you know what it takes for a man to enter an open weight no rules tournament like this. maybe in your ignorance when you say Scott showed us "what not to do" you didnt know he won his first UFC fight brutally and this was his second fight of the night against a very good fighter in Smith who he got beat by. Fighters fight win or lose. Its always the cowards with envy like u who hide sneer and talk to cover their own cowardice and treachoury

  • @jtchen22 U admit u wouldnt hav the courage to step into the unknown like this. You should also have the courage to know all of these men had won many many fights all their life prior to being asked to fight in this. That doesnt mean a admitted coward like you has da right to say "they showed us what not to do" when you admit that even despite knowing "what to do" u are still lack the balls to try it yourself. U cant grow balls unless u win or lose and fight Scott did and u dont simples.

  • @jtchen22 BOY! YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT THAT. HA HA HA

  • It took twice the balls to get in the cage back then, compared to now. Gd shit Scott Morris!

  • @jacko12345 it took no more balls then than now despite the fewer rules,in fact punching is way more damging now due to the gloves.Ive fought a few amateur mma fights and always took more punishment in kickboxng matches and muay thai where giving up isnt an option.

  • It would have been cool if he disappeared in a cloud of smoke at the end
