The 99th Match is a new fictional account of a true story that took place during the glory years Coach Campo is addressing in this speech. We love you back coach... and we felt your love for us. you never needed a microphone to get your point accross - All my best and God Bless - Vinny DiGirolamo'73
I have to agree with others that Coach Campo represents some of my favorite tough HS memories. I struggled to catch up to the public school kids coming from no sports Catholic school but Coach Campo seemed to notice all the student athletes he came to coach. I still remember his enthusiasm at summer clinics helping me reach deeper than I had before. Never giving up has remained with me all my years and some of that was reinforced by Coach Campo. I have tried to pass it on. Rich R. '72
Lots of people talk about the person that had the biggest influence on their life.
This man "The Gov" Campo is it for me,,, undertand what I am writing, the man still remains the biggest influence on my life as well as my childrens. Yes ...Mr Walker was certainly the "Man" the started the process of making boys into men who carried themselves with respect and honor.
Brentwood rules, class of 83' Coach Campo rules . Never had him as a coach but he is a great man. Mr Walker was also the "Man" from South Junior. Any one know anything about The Ross 25th reunion? thanks Bart Pinto
Walker was an overgrown overaged bully of an asshole. He favored his team players and fuck everybody else. Probably why I hate sports to this day. Was at SJH from 1969-72
I had the privilege to wrestle under Coach Walker. South Jr High had an outstanding wrestling record. When I was at South jr we only had 19 loses in 20 something years.
