I recieved your "Reply". To inform your readers, your response was that I'm complaining and that your pressings are excellent. I stand behind my statements. Just re-look at your video! It speaks for itself. Contamination everywhere! Tape mastering is one thing, but Stampers, mothers,& the like REQUIRE cleanliness, Sorry, I stand behind my comments. LP's aren't $5.99 any longer. $30.00 on an LP would, I want an impecable noise floor. That can't happen with a dust ladden pressing plant.
LP's although a great process, can't hold a candle to 2-track reel to reel tape @ 15ips using the latest ATR magnetics or BASF tapes. The finest pressed LP's need kit glove handling and WILL wear. High quality prerecorded tape does not scratch, will last literally a lifetime and is (was) the best way to reproduce sound. I hope it returns. (I wouldn't consider at all, downloading computer music as a HiFi source), with CD's only being good for convienence sake.
Any imperfections in the pressing (particals floating in the air,landing on the master discs) will render it an inferior product and not a 'Quality' product. If you watch the video, you'll see No gloves, No coverings for cloths, hair or masks for any personal contaminents. Nothing! Also spot the technician laying the disc on the cardboard shipping box & the guy with the headphones with no protection! If sunlight was streaming into these rooms from windows you'd see dust everywhere! Quality??
I don't get why they put out 45 Rpm vinyl and not their 33.3 counterpart? Sorry, but I refuse to pay 50 bucks for something I'm going to have to flip every minute. I want to sit down, relax,listen and enjoy. I would buy more Vinyl from them is they had the 33.3 version.
@malefootcrazy There is that old saying. "Be careful not to expand yourself out of Business." I wish A.S. the very best! 2 of my fav all time Vinyl Havens are out of business, Red Trumpet and Classic Records. I've had problems with every other vinyl internet store but in 11 years, Not 1 problem with Acoustic sounds. Never had to return a record. I too have this Lp on order but more importantly, I have a backordered item from AP (Bill Evans) that I purchased 7 months ago.! They'll get it right
You are blaming Marino for what Jimmy Page supervised on CD? George wasn't involved in Classic's vinyl reissues so I'm not sure what you are complaining about
congrats guys, wonderful to know that the sweet fat full sound can still be heard for those that never had the opportunities that we all did in our youth...
@Migkiller1971 QRP has the rights to Clarity Vinyl Formulation and will probably use it for special "flat profile" editions pressed on the Finebuilt hand press.
Is this the plant you guys bought from Classic records? Also what's going to happen to the Vinyl formula Clarity and Quiex sv-p? Are you guys going to rebadge it as QRP? It was a very sad day when Classic record's closed shop

Nice. I ran eight different Finebilts at Record Tech. in the late seventies. We then swapped them out for six SMT automatics. Happy to see the manuals still in operation.

This new plant is many orders superior to Classic's. Not even close.

@analogcorner O.K but that didn't answer the questions. From the looks of it, The vinyl looks like the Clarity Vinyl Formula from Classic records?

@Migkiller1971
They didn't buy a plant from Classic they bought Classic's remaining stock. This is completely unrelated.
