Great Post ...was looking for someone who would sing it like I would and lo and behold found your channel with WN version ..just to my liking... thank you
They played this at my granddad's funeral, I barely remember it cause I was about 4 at the time, but I remember I was crying right up until this song came on. I guess it never fails to cheer you up :)
My cousin Roger Pack went to the Land of the Uncloudy day, today. Thanks to Jesus I will see him again, under the tree of Life in The City of Gold, where GOD Rules forever more. I am crying as I type this but they are tears of joy. Please accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour today, right where you are, He will never forsake you and although cancer took my cousin from this world, thanks to his faith in God, he lives now in Heaven forever with no more sickness and no more sorrow. He is home.
@woodyi59 Thank you very much for yor kind words . I am reminded of the story of Jesus in the boat, the disciples had for that moment forgotten Jesus's word, that they were going across to the other side. Their faith had been replaced with fear, who among us has not done the same, during this time of loss however, my daily deepening faith has not been forgotten and your message is yet another reminder to me that we will make it to the other side.God Bless you.
Love this song. I've left instructions with the wife that when my time comes I want this song played at my funeral...otherwise I'm going to come back and haunt her :-)
The 1st time I heard this song was at my grandfather's funeral...it was the sunniest day. I stood with my face towards the warm sun. So, good on you, mate. I hope that day is a long time away for you. Best wishes to you and yours.
Yes, it eas at the tail end of "Honeysuckle Rose", right when Willie's character reconciled with his wife. However, Willie had actually recorded this song sometime before that. (I first heard it in January of 1977.)
Gosh I can remember the first time I heard Willie singing gospel and I was floored but I then realized he really loved it and sure could sing it with meaning. Thank you Mark (ramey58) for sharing this great video with me...
Thanks, Mark. I love Willie, and I love this song. And as usual, it brought tears to my eyes. There is coming a day though, that God will wipe all our tears away. There will be no more sorrow. Praise God! Thanks for posting this lovely song. *****.
this song provides great anger management for me... after listening to it I calm down and think about my issues logically instead of taking my anger out on the nearest person
this song ( this version) speaks to me in a really special way. I am real moody but no matter how depressed, pissed, whatever I am, this song puts me in high spirits. It has a power that is undeniable. Thank you Willie for so beautifully spelling out God's promise!
Thanks!!

I love how the speech bubble is coming out of Willie's mouth. That's cool! I've seen lyrics done all kinds of ways, but this is a first for me.

no problem...it was my pleasure.
Willie Nelson shall live into the future moreso than Johnny Cash in my opinion. Willie has always seemed more sincere and passionate.
:)

@chefjaike Hmm..... to use a phrase of Willie's ... Why do we have to choose.. see everybody lose.....
I'll grant that no one can read a song better than Willie. I've played 'Stardust' so often that I've even worn it out on CD.
