@BillieBaby143 Because all the lift or leavening comes mechanically from the air you beat into the mixture, rather than from the chemical reaction produced by baking soda / powder.

It would have helped a lot if measurements were included. What was that, a pound of butter, 2 cups of flour? Was that two cups of sugar. is it normal for it to split at the top?

Is it really necessary to put the eggs in a different bowl before adding the milk and vanilla? Was there something wrong with the bowl the eggs were in? It looked big enough to fit all of the ingredients. Besides that it looks like a great recipe.
@labodorlover Lol, yeah. When I first saw it I was like 'Wait, what?' I just noticed because I like to use the least bowls necessary for less cleaning. I wonder if he has to wash those bowls himself.
Here is the recipe for the Perfect Pound Cake: Ingredients: 3/4 pound cold butter, roughly cut up to give the mixer a head start. 1-1/3 cups sugar 1/4 tsp salt 5 eggs 6 Tbsp milk 1 tsp pure vanilla extract 1-1/2 cups flour (all purpose) Method: Watch video for detailed directions. Pre heat oven to 350º Butter 9x5 loaf pan and line bottom with parchment. Flour sides of pan.
Nice work, we liked your video very much so we embedded it on ChefCommons w/ link back and reference to Youtube. (Let us know if you don't wish for it to be featured)
