@forsoabba no, u are wrong, this finnish death metal band plays finnish death metal, if it was a swedish band , then i would believe this band was playing swedish death metal....MOST of the swedish death metal is too melodic, this is pure, raw, doom, death fucking metal, dont get it twisted now.

@rippinkorpse What? No. The later Gothenburg bands were melodic. The early Swedish death metal scene centered in Stockholme produced very similar music to the fins. Aboth, Utumno, God Macabre, Interment, Gorement, Grotesque, countless others.

@rippinkorpse The Swedish Stockholm death metal scene started around 88-89 and launched Entombed's Left Hand Path 1990. That album became quite influential around the globe. Since the later Finnish death metal scene sounds extremely close to the Stockholm scene, its quite obvious they were inspired by the Stockholm death metal.

Actually it looks pretty bad here on YouTube. But man, when you have the real deal in your recordshelf, and you occasionally happen to grab it, it always seems to resonate with this mystical aura, describing this dark, abysmal void. And it fits the music perfectly. You can't really know, if you haven't got the CD itself.

Yeah, I know. I've seen ever higher prices on "Nespithe", Demigod's "Slumber . . ." and Funebre's "Children of the Scorn". That's partly, I have only downloaded this records. Demigod's masterpiece I have as a real re-release. That's what I went, when I said RELATIVELY cheap. This EP is a pure ancient masterpiece , but obviously not so eligible and extremely rare as those I listed earlier, what makes it cheaper.

that's Turkka G Rantanen, from Chaos Graphics, his brother is Jarkko from Adramelech. Turkka is a great artist and still does covers to this day, great guy too! I have a PaganizeR cover he did that is yet unreleased and if you love those old Adramelech/Depravity covers you'll do a backflip if you ever see this one...

Thank you for these valuable fragments of information. Coverart of Adramelech and Depravity is really cool. Not so fancy as the biggest DM bands had back then, but he and Luxi Lahtinen really capture the sliminess and darkness of Death Metal.
