you play it excellently...except the slap...i think you're playing it a little to fast....he almost plays CONSTANTLY and it looks like you have it mapped out that he stops quite a few times..so im guessing you learned it by ear...anyways..i know you could do that perfect if you actually saw the exact rhythm..no doubt about it...your execution is amazing
your timing seems to change during the song, or you are rushing to fit notes in or something. but it still sounds good, just needs to be worked on thats all. overall good job though man

this is the first bass cover that matches ryan's style of playing for the song. for the best quality cover i'd say 7sloth has the best one but it don't matter because as long as u can pull the song off u show some fuckin skill at playin bass

@patient1234 Please, Hes got a great sound coming out of his rig, but his problem is that he just followed all of the tabs for this song which has only been wrong. That verse is much more complicated than what he plays.
@BassRiderX i have to agree, he has a great sound but the song is so much harder and more complicated than what anybody on youtube has played (except 1 guy who's username is 101001010101 or something like that)

@patient1234 Dude have you tried DR strings already? Or rotosounds? those are killer string. They have that same long lasting 'metallic' sound in them, and they're not as expensive as the Elixirs. (still a shitload of money, but hey, thats why we're bassists right?) I sure am looking for a good brand for my new bass (also a SRX) but there are so many strings available... it's just not fair..
@BeArtist1 Yea Dr's are awesome, i always use the same Dr. string set RyKnow uses: Hi Beam 5 stringed etc... I quarantee theyre awesome and worth the money ^^

Good stuff, I practiced for two years playing almost the entire ld 50 album, and here are some suggestions:
too many licks on the verse. ryan does a lot of hard hammer ons, which sound like a lick (from the right hand) but are not.. and on 1:42 its just once on the right hand, hammer on as well.
and also, on the slap part, there are TOO many plucks, it isoverwhelming the song..
One more thing, When you do the tri tone pops, what frets are you doing them on? be cause ive seen it done on 5th fret D string and 6th fret G string. but it looks like your doing something different
Well as you notice I have a 5 string bass (BEADG) now when I play Mudvayne stuff from the LD 50 album, I tune down to (BEF#BE) and the tri note I play are 8 on the D (Down tune B) and 9 on the G (down tune E)...hope it helps, thank for the support dude..Peace

Agreed, elixirs are great, only problem is they don't sell them in a set of five, so you end up having to buy your B string separate.
