If you had taken the time to find anything out about Blake Lively then you would find out that she is nothing like Serena. She even says herself that she is nothing like that. Blake is really down to earth, so sweet and awkward, as she calls herself. She is also becoming huge in the fashion world. She is good friends with Christian Louboutin, Anna Wintour, Kar Lagerfeld etc. I think she is perfect for Chanel! You can't judge Blake by a character she plays, and Serena isn't even her only role!

The ad looks fine too me. I think it should be in color. Also, Blake has a better body in this ad than Keira's. That dress would not look as good. Keira is pretty but what she wears hangs off her more like a drape and her arms look skeleton-like bony looking. Blake has a much better thin body.

All the actresses i mentioned are very different and yet i feel they have this elegance. i like blake lively, i just personally don't think she's the right look for chanel....but, like i said, chanel's collections in general (in a fashion sense) has been less classic Chanel and more casual/grunge/ and a little sloppy. It's heading in a less elegant direction in general.

If you had taken the time to find anything out about Blake Lively then you would find out that she is nothing like Serena. She even says herself that she is nothing like that. Blake is really down to earth, so sweet and awkward, as she calls herself. She is also becoming huge in the fashion world. She is good friends with Christian Louboutin, Anna Wintour, Kar Lagerfeld etc. I think she is perfect for Chanel! You can't judge Blake by a character she plays, and Serena isn't even her only role!

this doesn't seem right. I don't have complains about how Blaike looks, but I just don't like her personality. I think the Gossip Girl role has affected it a bit. Now in her eyes she seems bitchy like Serena. And Chanel should still stick to the old type of models like Tatou... or Twiggy like in her young days, NOT that she is old... :\

The ad looks fine too me. I think it should be in color. Also, Blake has a better body in this ad than Keira's. That dress would not look as good. Keira is pretty but what she wears hangs off her more like a drape and her arms look skeleton-like bony looking. Blake has a much better thin body.

I agree with the general view of Blake Lively as the face of Coco Mademoiselle. She is indeed a pretty girl but I think all wrong for Chanel and for this campaign. Keira Knightley was a much better fit. In MY opinion.

I like Blake, I really do that's why I came across this one. She's very beautiful and all but something is lacking. I don't know what is. Maybe the music and the commercial itself was wrong for her and for Chanel. I mean, Keira was classic and for me was absolutely perfect while some may say Blake lacks the class or idk, I guess she's the modern type of something, but I know she can pull off something great and new. but not on this commercial,maybe the next one?

And think about it people, her weight maybe is normal. I do know lot of people who are skinny and tall and they can eat whatever they like and still stay thin. Chanel is one of my favorite brands, and I find Nicole Kidman and Audry Tatou were perfect. But Blake Lively? not really. She's more surfer chick, girl next door/bohemian than Chanel (Chanel is a definition of it's own I believe). There's a glamour and fantasy about Chanel Blake doesn't embody.

@mAddIn2712 i dont think it's senseless. I think to compare is a great way to develop an opinion at times. All the actresses i mentioned are very different and yet i feel they have this elegance. i like blake lively, i just personally don't think she's the right look for chanel....but, like i said, chanel's collections in general (in a fashion sense) has been less classic Chanel and more casual/grunge/ and a little sloppy. It's heading in a less elegant direction in general.

There's no doubt Blake is drop-dead gorgeous but yeah I agree, she just lacks something to be a Chanel girl. Keira Knightley however, in my opinion is perfect for the role. She just exudes class. Perhaps it's because in my mind, Blake always has that slightly rebellious streak in her which just doesn't suit Chanel..but then that may just be due to her role in Gossip Girl sticking in my mind.

There's nothing definitive she lacks, there's just something I can't put my finger on. @iluvmuse Keira looks too much on the side of skin and bones. Keira use to look healthy when she did the first couple Pirates of the Caribean movies. She was thin, had a body and fuller face. Compared to how she looked then there is a big difference. I use to think she looked beautiful but she looks unhealthy too me now. She use to be skinny not bony.
